I am going for the first time and learning about this dining plan. My question is I am getting for my 3 kids one adult plan and 2 children plans. When it comes to the QS is it broken down to kids and adults when you go to order, or can I split an adult meal with my husband and use the other adult meal to split between my 2 kids leaving me with 2 extra QS children credits?.... Make sense?

It was my experience that as long as you have a plan for each person on the ressie over 3 you can use the credits as you wish! You do not have to use a meal for each family member each time you dine you do not have to use 2 QS and 1 snack each day or your trip if you want to use 8 QS and 3 snacks for one meal you are allowed. I hope that helps a little!

What you can't do (and CMs are asked to enforce this) is purchase more adult meals than you have adults listed on your key card. If you have 3 adults on the key card you can buy 3 adult meals at one time.

This. This has always been my experience as well. When my youngest kids were little we used to get three adult meals at each counter service and share them between all 6 of us. The options for adult meals are just more how we eat at home and then we could have breakfast too. Now they are all adults (!) which I think is crazy but we still split meals.

Please note when replying to this thread and others like it that it's the policy on the Restaurant board to remove or delete discussion of using credits for which a child's price is paid to buy adult meals (unless the restaurant has no child's menu).

The cool thing about this is, if you use your 3 adult credits to split between all of you for lunch and dinner. you can then use the kids' credits to get kids' breakfast meals to split between all of you. Disney doesn't care WHO eats what meal, just that you use adult credits to buy adult meals and kids' credits for kids' meals.
