POP Century~Unofficially the Grooviest FAQ Thread #7~Sept 2012

I was informed by Pop Century last week when I asked if my fridge wasn't keeping milk cold that the fridge isn't designed to keep food cold like that. It would need to be packed with ice to keep milk cold. Not sure if this was the "correct" answer, but our fridge was not cold enough for milk.

That's ridiculous, and not true.

Our fridge did not keep things super cold. We used our cooler with lots of ice for cold waters. We used fridge for jelly and cream cheese but helped it get/stay cold with cooler waters. It was really odd.

When we arrived our fridge was not cold. We had to turn it up. It took a good 24 hours for it to be cold.

Thanks for the quick response...suppose we could get ice in our water bottles from the food court before heading out for the day...or just buy a cold water in the parks when we need one :cool2:

Don't forget you can also get ice from any counter service place for free just by asking. We go in Aug/Sept most years and have specific large mouthed water bottles we always take with us for just this reason :)

do they sell gallons of milk in the pop century gift shop? If so, anyone know how much one runs? I'd love to have a gallon of milk in my fridge for my DD.

A full gallon would not fit in the fridge, but a 1/2 gallon will and those are sold in the food court.

Hi! I don't usually post to this thread, but I have a Pop Century question I hope someone can help me out with. We had a great stay checking out 2/27. I didn't get a list of charges on my door when we left. I didn't stress because when we stayed at CBR last August I didn't get one on my door anymore it came via email. However, I am now a week out & have no list of room charges. Is there a way for me to now request this or am I out of luck? Who would I contact? Any ideas? TIA

I checked out 2/28. I did have a printout on my door, and I also had an email waiting when I got home.

They sell half gallons and they're apprx $3

thanks Goofy! Not too bad of a markup... 1/2 gallon for the same cost as a gallon would be here! LOL! I was expecting to hear it was around $5 or $6!

Thanks so much for the replies. A fridge that doesn't really keep things cold?? I'll have to check on my fridge contents but that is odd. I 'll report back.

I thought it was ridiculous as well, but that is what I was told. It was turned to max & we changed plugs to see if that would make a difference. It didn't, but they did bring us one of the "older" models that we used to rent that did function as a refrigerator.

Just arrived this morning and am having a great time. Flew in this morning. Was on the bus to the hotel with no line. Bus only had two other couples on it. Did online check in, so the packet at the hotel was done. Got our room, changed clothes, and off we went to Hollywood Studios. We were in the park by 1045a.

We are having the best time. This being a combo Anniversary/Valentines Day gift is the best. LOVE IT! :cool1::banana::love:

We returned from our trip Sunday. It was such a bitter sweet time. I was sad to leave. As much as I looked forward to seeing my yorkie again, I wanted to enjoy the time some more. The weather was a bit cooler towards to end but it's Florida. It was better then Jersey. So now I have my pics to remember the trip. Now looking forward to September's trip. :hourglass

Hey everyone!

Barring any flight delays I should be at POP by 11am tomorrow (Weds) !

So excited for my trip!
I'm going to be decorating my door and window.
If anyone is there and finds my room please say Hi!

Going to request a 1st floor in Building 1 or 10.
I know it's not guaranteed by going to ask anyway. :)

I packed last night after work.
I have alot of running around to do today.
Can't wait to get there

See you tomorrow POP!

My son is a light sleeper. Would like a quiet but preferred room. Is that even possible? lol Love the 60's
