DISmoms 4 - The Hunt for Jack Sparrow

Yes by all means you gotta' have gin, preferably Tangeray, Beefeaters isn't bad either. Really good vodka is Skull, a cheaper vodka that is good is Svedka.

My, that went suddenly from waterslide craziness to booze! Sounds about right for a DIS MOM TR!

My vote is for amaretto -for sours, or Kahlua for your coffee !

Love the waterslide and ITSK pic! :thumbsup2

Hey Kate-
This is all great advice, and I completely agree on the Gin- I love Tangueray and Hendricks- and it sounds like the ones you already have are fine, none of them are what I would call bottom shelf. Just one thing- have you asked them what they drink? I would hate for you to go out and spend all kinds of $$ on booze that will just sit there. When we are having a party with our friends, I usually have made one specialty cocktail (like Cucumber margaritas with some jalepeno slices in case they want to spice it up or Grapetinis or Sangria), but then I know what my friends will like already and this just simplifies things. I do have the other things available, I make sure to have tonic and sliced limes, but honestly, except for the occasional scotch or bourbon, the rest just sits and people have beer & wine & the special cocktail. We normally are more wine drinkers than anything else, too, FWIW. Anyway, it sounds like this is going to be a great get together- how many are you having?:dance3:

Lilly is doing great. Grandma and Grandpa took us to Disneyland at the beginning of December which was a lot of fun but a lot of work. She's almost 7 months now. Hubs has been gone since October 1 and will have been gone 7+months by the time he finally gets home. We haven't been able to Skype because his internet connection where he's at is absolutely horrible. We've had to rely on two 15 minute morale calls and texting apps.

Can't wait to read more!

I just looked at all your DL pics and your TR- Lilly is beautiful! What a happy girl! :cutie:

So sorry you are not able to Skype- I hope you get another morale call soon! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

All caught up again! :cool1:

Love the slide pics!!!!!!!! And the pics with the "Captain". ;)

We only had CC as the last day once I think, but you are so right about it. Knowing that the cruise is over that day is no fun at all. ;)

I only did the dark tube slide on CC - it was fast, but fun! I'll have to try the slow one next time, glad Kara could get in some DIS time as she came down that one.

See you next month! :goodvibes

I have a question for you- have you been on a double dip? Did they do anything different on the 2nd visit to CC, or was it like Groundhog Day?

Don't you wonderful ladies have another trip coming up soon?

Yes! Most of us do! Kara, myself and Drea (a new DISmom who will need to survive the grueling initiation ritual first- Good LUCK!:crazy2:) will be arriving May 2nd- Joan will already be there, but with her (our) DH (I am his Wife #2, and NO there is no Big Love HERE), and Lonnie and Laura will be joining in on May 3. :cheer2:

Yes, have been on a double dip and NO, they did not do anything different. :rotfl2: It was like Groundhog Day - in a REALLY good way. ;) :thumbsup2
But honestly, it was the same time off the ship and the same time back on. Same bbq and all. We even were in the same Cabana. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey I get in May 1st I will already have warmed up the bartenders lol!

On our DOuble dip we had a different BBQ. The 1st day they had Mahi Mahi samiches and on the 2nd day None.. I'm still craving one of those 5yrs later lmao! Oh and the 1 day they pulled in the front way and the 2!d the rear.

Great! I am wondering what they will do about Palo brunch- there is no sea day on this cruise, it's a 4 day with Nassau & a doubledip. :)

Warmed up...worn out...

We are going with couples, no kids so 2 days at Serenity Bay sounds really, REALLY great- hopefully they'll have enough fish for both days!

Wish I could be there too! Here's to lots of margaritas and fun! pixiedust:

Thanks! We will do our best! :hyper::hug:

It's soooooo close!

I'm mentally not there yet- more focused on the cruise with Timmy in 2 weeks. :yay::yay: Have you seen all the cool food booths? That F&G really needed them- I have always wondered why they didn't do that before....

Once back on the ship, we all hit the showers and put on our prettiest dresses for formal night. But FIRST, before I go any further, Joanie would like me to share HER special moment with Captain Jack -

:rotfl:

On our way out the door, I took some pics of Kara's door magnets-

On our way, Mickey ran down the stairs to beg us to become his stowaways, but of course, we all had our children to get home to. Sorry Mickey!

Joan, Kara and I were looking forward to the show tonight, Disney's Believe. Cammie chose not to come, she said the shows were not her cup of tea. But the three of us LOVED this show!!! It turned Kara and I into blubbering IDIOTS and provided fits of giggles (due to our Hallmark commercial grade sobbing) for Joanie. :lmao:

857_zps269cbabb.jpg

Afterwards, and before dinner, well...there really was only ONE place to go...PINK! We had to visit Alenka. Plus, we HAD to have some Moet Ice...

Joanie looked especially sexy on this night!

858_zps4a3a0b94.jpg

In an effort to keep up with that sexiness, we all decided to strike a pose-

IMG_1211_zps937020e4.jpg

Some are sexier than others....

IMG_1213_zps42f2facd.jpg

All our loveliness...

IMG_1210_zps9fa4d07c.jpg

I hope Alenka is on the ship when I board in 18 days. She was a sweetheart....AND she is responsible for all of us becoming Moet Ice fans, so that makes her extra special! It was time for dessert before dinner again....

859_zpsa40f0c2b.jpg

And then we were off to dinner at the Royal Palace. Gotta love a fancy restaurant on your fancy dress up night where even the napkins make an effort to look extra special-

860_zps750231d3.jpg

And who doesn't want one of these? How much are they again? CHA CHING!

862_zps7e9ac11a.jpg

More food! I had •Roasted Wild Boar Tenderloin
Sweet Carrot and Onion Potato Cake with a Red Currant reduction

871_zpsac6c6cd3.jpg

This was delicious. Other entrees at our table were ummm...I dunno! Someone else will have to share their dinner photos....

As we finished, our server, Roland, told us we were to have a Magical moment- no doubt due to Joan's hotness, the chef felt he had to come to our table to say hello...

872_zps1444da9a.jpg

873_zps648f047f.jpg

It's always so nice to feel special, isn't it? :goodvibes

On to dessert....of COURSE there was •Grand Marnier Soufflé
Infused with fresh Orange Zest and served with Crème Anglaise

875_zpsc1b13b34.jpg

That Roland was a really wonderful server-

876_zps08e7252a.jpg

I had •Peanut Butter Mousse
Dark Chocolate infused Peanut Butter, Chiffon Cake and Whipped Cream

877_zps0610cf61.jpg

It was very good, but I missed that souffle and will be ordering it this next time. One more dessert from our table, •Sweet Temptations
A trio of Peanut Butter Mousse, Mango Cheesecake, and Tahitian Vanilla Crème Brûlée

878_zpse8e4900e.jpg

Roland invited us back for breakfast in the morning, and we were off to our cabin- some were uncomfortable staying dressed up, so, we all dressed back down. We had a friend waiting to help us change-

879_zps85355bc8.jpg

And it was time to hit the adult stuff one last time. One guess who we still had to visit that night...

I hate the last night of the cruise. It needs to be longer!!!!

Oh, the feeling of impending dread...the last night of the cruise. I hate it!

While it was snowing this morning as I waited with Allison at the bus stop, I was listening to Zac Brown Band singing "Toes" and wished with all my heart that I could be teleported out of there and plopped on beach someplace warm, toes in the sand, margarita in hand.:beach:

Nope. Still in New York. Freezing. :sad1:

Wish I could be there too! Here's to lots of margaritas and fun! pixiedust:
not to sound stalkerish but Give us your cell# and we can text you and you can drink "with us" lol Seriously El & Kara did that the last couple trips to me.. the only time it sucked was while I was at work and those broads were drinking around the world LOL

Great! I am wondering what they will do about Palo brunch- there is no sea day on this cruise, it's a 4 day with Nassau & a doubledip. :)

Something tells me the baseball scrimmage is going to be called off this afternoon, though. :rotfl:
