I can't do contacts. I've tried more than once. I think as my 40th birthday present I'll get myself Lasik.

Proud DIS Dad moment for me today...

Got home from Church and was making my girls brunch
Youngest say no to brunch and want PB&J. Cool.
I wanted eggs and asked my other daughter if she wants them.
My oldest opted for an omelette.
So I asked, "Bacon or sausage?" Her response, "Can I have both?"
Such a little carnivore.

On a side note - I have ordered contact lenses, am going to get rid of the glasses for a while. Any contact lens wearing dads out there??

I've had them since about 1990. Don't wear them as much these days. Mostly b\c I stare at a PC all day and worked in a building where the air is bone dry.
I wear them for exercise, working around the house and social occasions, Mine are daily disposables and are really nice.

Morning guys!

Im posting early today, came in an hour early to make up time so I can take Wednesday off to chaperon my daughters band trip. Sounds like fun right?

Congrats David, hope everything continues to work out!

Matt

Evening men! We heard back from the adoption agency we applied with and....We have been accepted! :cool1:

Thank you for all of the prayers! Thank you to everyone who has ordered bracelets! Your generosity has been a great gift in this adventure.

It is quite shocking how thorough we will be vetted to adopt children. I wish my BIL had to go through the same process before he was allowed to breed :confused3

We will be chasing papers now for the next 6-8 weeks including getting finger printed. As an Italian American, I am not real comfortable walking into the FBI office here in Indy to get finge printed. They have been keeping us down since prohibition :lmao:

Congrats David!

I used to wear contacts....then in 2004, DW and I treated ourselves to getting our eyes "zapped" with a LASIK procedure.

Plus, they pulled my name out of a hat that month which made my procedure free! And, I had opted for the lifetime "enhancement" on my eyes.

After about 4 years or so, my eyes started to not be 20/20. So I wore glasses for a little while until I decided to go ahead and take them up on an enhancement. So I went back in 2010 (I think) to have my eyes "re-zapped" and they've been great ever since.

Went and saw Mary Poppins yesterday.....WHAT A SHOW! I highly recommend seeing it if you ever get the chance. Outstanding. The sets were amazing!

Have a great Monday gentlemen! :thumbsup2

I normally freak out about medical stuff, but I'm starting to get excited about the sleepy stuff. I mean if it was good enough for the King of Pop, it's good enough for me.

Sorry you're still having issues, Chris. None of the treatment sounds like fun to me, but maybe you'll have some cool dreams?:confused3

Cold weekend in Va Beach. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet up with Don. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out when things were happening and when DD needed to be where. The only known free time that we had was spent at the mall. :headache:

Hope everyone else had a great weekend.

Morning guys,

I know you are going to laugh but last night was the coldest of the year in S. Florida. Reached the low 40's. Even the kid going to school in NJ thought it was cold.

Woo-hoo! Won by 15 and now back in 2nd place entering the playoffs. Looking at some of the other scores, it seems we are playing better than most entering the playoffs. First game Wednesday night vs. the 7 seed.

Woo-Hoo too!

I have done a lot for my daughter, including taking her and six of her friends to Disney World. The one thing I refused to do was to be a chaperone on any type of school outing. Good luck and if you need assistance, activate the extraction beacon.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Maybe next time, Mike! How did the event go?

Oh... and you failed to mention the fact that you went to a mall that DIDN'T have the Disney store in it! :lmao:

Thought about Lasik and have been told I'm a good candidate. I know the risks are low, but just can't seem to risk it. I know 3 people that have had it done and the swear it is easy and no side effects. Good luck if you decide to go forward.

Good Morning Matt.:wave2: Took the day off today in order to get our basketball playoff brackets together. Hope the day goes well and have fun on Wednesday.

Yup, laughing.:hyper: We have shorts in 40 degree weather in the spring.

7 girls at Disney? I guess you deserve kudos for that one.

Shawn, do you need these yet? :lmao:

I could take one or two for breakfast. The family hasn't driven me nuts yet, but I was taking with a colleague at another farm and he was telling me how he dug 2 chainsaws and a $60 tractor seat out of the dumpster this morning. They have money to waste like that and I lost 80% of my labor help in the last year. :furious:

Good Morning!!

Last time I tried to catch up, I was interrupted by DS and ended up sitting with him on my lap to watch Disney Jr. and promptly fell asleep. :rotfl2:

I did notice this:

gotta love that. My DD has finally discovered bacon!! I tried giving her some sausage a week or two ago, but that didn't go over as well.

I also saw David's good news on the adoption front, CONGRATULATIONS!!

Not much to report. Still running and looking forward to the 5k this month. I've picked out a 10k in May to run in as well.

We took the weekend off from the blog but I'm back to it today, writing about pressed pennies. Exciting right?? :lmao: Seriously, I love getting pennies at WDW, though I'm bad at remembering which ones I have already. So the post will be about tips and where to find maps of the machines, and I will explore my crafty side and attempt to mutilate my pennies further by making a bracelet or some other craft from them. I'll be running to the craft store in a bit for materials.

grocery shopping and chores will round out my day before heading to work. hope you all have a good monday!

Ever feel like you just did a beer bong full of Beverly, followed by someone using one of those stadium t-shirt cannons to fire a jar of Peanut Butter at your groin? Yup.

Fly out for Florida tomorrow at noon. Forecast for tomorrow here in Milwaukee? 6-10" of snow with blowing and drifting. :furious: Cruise doesn't leave until Thursday, and Tuesday evening and Wednesday were basically planned as hanging out with the in-laws at their place, so I'm not too upset if we're delayed a little bit. But sitting at the airport, watching it snow and staring at an empty gate where our plane should be sitting for 3....4.....5.... hours with 3 kids could get a wee pit annoying.

David - congrats on the acceptance. Good luck with the rest of it!

Chris - ouch, sorry to hear that. See if they can record the video for you to post here.

Everyone else - :wave2:
