Very excited, I just bought tickets and my husband and I will be coming to our first DIS meet! Looking forward to meeting all of you, playing games, having fun and supporting GKTW (volunteering there in Sept.). Waiting for Hilton to get their website together so I can book the hotel.

I am concerned about the Hilton comment- what kind of trouble are you having booking your room using the link in the 1st post?
I haven't seen any new hotel reservations in the past few days- so if there is a problem, I'd like to report it. Are you getting an error message?

We are planning a terrific auction at Saturday's event.

But we need your help to make it extra special!

If you have any Disney (or non-Disney) items you no longer have a place for in your home, but that might be a treasure for someone else- please consider donating them to be auctioned for Give Kids the World!

We are looking for new (or like new) items. Unless it is a Disney collectible-which is likely older and nostalgic.

Please PM me with a brief description. I will get back to you quickly and let you know how to get it to us. We are asking that items be sent to us ahead of time so we know what we have (or still need) and can prepare gift baskets before that weekend.

We will even accept non-Disney items. PM me and I'll let you know.

So check those closets and drawers and garages & attics. You wouldn't believe the things I uncovered in mine!!!

Hey everyone -- you can now register to BOWL with your DIS buddies after the main event on Saturday night!

We'll be bowling as teams, with 6 bowlers per lane.

$15 includes two hours of bowling, shoe rental, a pizza & pitcher of soda for each lane, and a $3 donation for Give Kids the World!

LOL I was on a bowling league in the fifth grade. Not once have I ever bowled the correct way. I tend to just chuck the ball. Heh.

NEWS FLASH!

Due to Guest Demand we have increased the size of our room for Friday Night Game Night!! We have now have room for about 30 more people.
You can sign up right here!
This is going to be a fun event- a great way to get started on the weekend and meet new people, as well as reconnect with old friends.
We are playing "Name That Disney Tune," Bunco (meet lots of people quickly!) and a TASTYCAKE Eating Contest!! (You can choose to cheer or eat!)

There will also be snacks available.
This event is right inside the Hilton Garden Inn- our Home Base for the Weekend. If you haven't already booked your room- there are still rooms available. Very comfy- and all rooms have free internet, plus a fridge and a microwave in the room. Book now!

Lastly- I want to make sure everyone knows to order a t-shirt. These are nice quality, heavyweight, pre-shrunk, 100% cotton shirts. They are LIME GREEN and will have our event logo on the front. Our shirt vendor was extremely generous and is giving us a terrific price so that we can give more money to GKTW!! So the more shirts we sell, the more money goes to the kids!!!
We have plenty of events planned for the weekend- so plan to wear your shirt at one or more events.
If you are coming to the Friday night event- I will have the shirts there for pick up. If not- we will be available at check-in on Saturday.

We are not ordering very many extra shirts- so please do not wait until you arrive to decide you want a shirt. You will be so jealous of everyone if you don't have your shirt!! And you can wear it in the parks on your next trip and show your support for GKTW!
