Official 2013 Disney Princess Half Marathon Thread - Take 2

Do it! I've got a hilly local half on St. Pat's Day. I'm already trained, so my intent is to do 10 this weekend, 8 next and then do the half the following. I did this last year as well and was fine.

Your blog posts are a hoot! I like your park touring style...it's much like mine...ADD/crazy! And what IS it with Peter Pan? I have that My Disney Experience app too, but I have a couple of other ones that are not Disney-made, but are user-driven Disney ride wait time apps...the BF and I check them randomly at home sometimes just to see what the wait for Peter Pan is...lol. We always think "wow, 30 minutes, must be a slow day at the MK!"

I know others of you took a gazillion pics along the way. I am looking for some of the mile marker signs that I missed. Here are the ones I didn't have:

1 (I know, I know -- I just didn't realize it would come so quickly! ), 7, 8, 9, and 13 (I think I was just ready to be done! ).

I would appreciate any help.

Husband is jealous of my C2C. He's running DL 1/2 so now he's talking W&D- and doesnt want to go alone. Twist my arm man! So we have- what- 11 days? to decide.

Great costume! I saw you a few times on the course...you whizzed by me I was Jasmine as well but with a sparkle skirt. Congrats!

Thank u! I may have seen you but i dunno. There were so many sparkly skirts on the course! But im sure if i saw ur picture i'd remember you I remembered all the jasmines i saw lol. Cant wait to start planning next year's outfit!

Me! Me! Me!

I trained 95% outside and after 7pm (including long runs). Morning races take me awhile to find my pace! Looking forward to this! Hopefully the humidity is not as bad as it was at the Princess. But given that this is Florida, I highly doubt it.

Yea!! I live in Fla and that humidity just killed me, but I finished. I'm more of a morning person.

Nope! I know what you mean about sight...I run without my glasses so at night that may just qualify me as blind.

I am looking at some local stuff mostly 10K.

Think I'll be back for the PHM, but not really feeling the Disney stuff so DH and I have been looking to go south or to the gulf for a couple of days after.

MissBenilda - think I saw a couple of your pics on mfoto unidentifieds. I searched for female and only had "prerace" selected, and saw one on page 229 and one on 535.

I'm at home from work sick and was looking through the pics. Only found 1 of myself - darn. Hopefully that helps and it was you and not some other Jasmine...

Thanks! Normally I'm kinda anal retentive but I just can't pass up a low wait time! Peter Pan - slowest loading ride at the MK!

Did you see Jenna Boyd featured at the beginning? She was the last place finisher at the tink and was going for her coast to coast. They brought her up on stage before the race. I just looked at her results and she finished in 4:43 which is way above the min pace. Was she last again? I saw sweepers at mile 3 when I was across the road at mile 9. I wonder if Disney let her finish but swept other people? If so I don't think that is fair.

Any one know anything about it? I know people who have been swept with faster times than hers.

I was actually in corral C and ahead of the pacing balloon at mile 9. The only advantage I was given for the interview was being moved to C.

I know 13 miles just isn't the same if someone starts earlier...

Welcome to the boards. I find this quite interesting since I was placed in E with an estimated time of 3 hours. I guess it pays to be a celeb with Disney. Congrats!
