Weighing options...water view room with a request of Cabanas 8A or business class room in Cabanas 9B with a water view request? Is it worth the extra cost for the business class lounge offerings?

How far of a walk is it from Cabanas 9B to the main pool? To the food court and bus stop 1?

And from Cabanas 8A to the main pool? Bus stop 4? To the food court?

Thanks so much!!

1) We were in Cabanas 9B our very first stay at CSR and loved the location. It was across the bridge to the pool, close to El Centro and we used Bus Stop #1 (El Centro). The only downside is that Bus Stop #1 is the last one picked up on the way to the parks, so in the mornings the buses may be full before they get there and you'll have to stand up if you get on at all. At the time we stayed there (Sept 2003) Disney was still in a post-9/11 slump, it was off-season and the resort was nowhere near full, so we didn't encounter that problem. In subsequent trips, I've noticed that the bus is often quite full before it gets to El Centro.

2) We were in 8A for our race trip this past weekend. I thought the location was excellent. We had a waterview room, so we were on the front side of the building and it was a very short walk to the Dig Site -- just down the walkway, a 2-minute walk. Our room was super close to Bus Stop #4, just down the path behind us, maybe a 2-3 minute walk. El Centro was across the bridge and probably took us 5 minutes or so to walk there. We had a lovely view and thought the location was really wonderful. My sister and sister-in-law kept telling me I did a great job with the room, but I said "All I did was request Cabanas and first floor and pay for the waterview! The rest was luck!"

This was the view from our room:

Hope this helps!

Claire - I think you may have convinced me! 8A it is! (If we do indeed book CSR). We will also have a car, so if the buses are too horrible, we can drive if need be.

What's the children's pool like? Anyone have pics? I have a 6 and 2 year old so that's something CBR has going for it...zero depth entry area...nice for little kids...

Does anyone know how many floors the different Casitas buildings have? I have found that they have 3 or 4 stories. Which have only 3 stories and which have 4?

Also, is the health club in building 4? Is the health club nice?

Thanks!

The health club is in Casitas 4. It's right by the quiet pool. It's actually one of the nicer hotel fitness clubs I've seen. I've used it several times in two stays there. The quiet pool is set up for laps if your into that. Casitas 4 is my favourite location at CSR.

Can someone please confirm pepper market for me? I have read that it is now buffet does that mean that u can go up as often as u want and u can get as many choices as you want for one set price?

Can the fireworks be seen from CSR? Where is the best spot to view them?

You can see the high ones from Epcot from the Casitas 4 end of the lagoon. If you go up to the 4th floor of Casitas 4 the view is decent up there. We had a room there last time, we watched everynight that we were at the resort at that time. You can also see a few from MK if you go around to the other side. You would only be able to see the MK ones from the 4th floor, I doubt you could see any from the ground.

I'm not sure what other websites are ok to mention here. Try to google "current menus and prices for wdw" and you'll probably find their current menu. At the top of it, it says that as of Jan. 1, 2013 they have switched back to an a la carte menu.

RachelTori thanks for the pics of the Coke products. Maybe they will let me beg a diet coke in the morning!

The Pepper Market has returned to a la carte for all three meals.

Really are you sure about this. I can't find any info on it

The information is on the first page of this thread in this post.

I'm sure you won't have to beg!! ;) What you might also consider doing is taking cans to your room. The refrigerator will keep them cold, but if you need one really cold, put it in your ice bucket overnight. (You can always bring it with you to the Lounge to enjoy it there!) :thumbsup2
