This is a silly question....

Does DCL give you a pin/button/celebratory anything if it is your first cruise with their cruise line or if it us your first cruise ever???

Thanks....

That's a shame as DCL is typically more expensive than other cruise lines and taking a first cruise ever should be marked by something....no matter how small that something is on the first cruise ever.

I have read that other cruise lines do something small for first time cruisers.

No First Time Cruise Buttons but the do have celebration buttons. Me and my husband got one each for our anniversary last year. They are a bit smaller than Disney world but the outer edge of the button looks like a porthole.

The porthole buttons you are referring to....do we just ask for them at guest services??? How do you get the celebration buttons???

We got buttons in our last August on the Dream. It was our first but I asked the last day if they had buttons at guest services and they found a couple. Don't have a picture with me, and google is not helping for some reason today... Can't remember if it said "celebrating" or "first cruise"

We asked for them at guest services. We also got one in the main dining room teat just sad "Celebrating", I believe. I will try and find a picture of them.

First cruise buttons would be cool....I'm trying to go all out for our first time cruising....already made door magnets, bought an FE, and looking into making FE gifts.....I want to make the cruise very memorable especially for my daughter!!!

You could always have something made yourself if you want something like that.

The returning cruisers have the lanyards with their status. I was rather surprised at how many first timers there were on my first cruise, and how many were checking in at the 'non--Castaway Club' lines on my second, so I assume they were mostly first timers too.

Sort of like celebrating an un-birthday on board. If every single person is wearing a "it's not my birthday" button, would it be special?

Our server on the Fantasy gave us a Birthday and Celebrating buttons for our son. Andre from Trinidad went out of his way to give us the buttons.:thumbsup2

Well, I think so. But someone else celebrating something has never made my own celebration feel less special. Others feel differently.

I don't know where you would normally get them, but we were in concierge on our recent first Disney cruise, and they gave us Celebrate buttons and one Magical Moment button (along with a Magical Moment certificate) for our first cruise. They are indeed smaller than the ones we've gotten at the parks, but I liked them more for their size.

I took a First Visit button from WDW and "modified" it a bit for my mom and I when we cruised on the Dream in September. I wrote our names at the top. It was great. Other guests on the ship loved it. :-)
