Awesome luck @ 4 1/2 months out! Our 3 girls wanted to stay @ BWV but DH and I wanted to stay @ AKV. I went ahead and gave the girls their wish which made DH and I a little sad. We had 2 studios for 10 nights and a 1br our arrival night because of point constraints. Longing for AKV, I kept looking on the member website I guess to torture myself when to my shock a 2 bedroom value popped up for the last 6 nights of our stay! After a frenzied call to hubby and a harried call to member services, I was able to cut our bwv stay down to 5 nights and book the 2br value for 6 nights. Luckily there were 2 studios available for our first night @ BWV so we won't have to move more than once. The 2 br value get is so lucky because a 1 bedroom would not have worked because our teens need their own private space not a living room. We couldn't afford a 2br standard or Savanna and hubby wasn't going deal with the hassle of a split stay just to be in another studio even @ AKV.

Anyway we are all satisfied now. We adore Jambo house. I can't believe our luck!
We will be @ BWV in 2 studios from 7/7 - 7/12 then @ AKV Jambo House in a 2br value from 7/12 - 7/18.

I was researching kids activities online, and saw a random posting about ostrich egg toss game and/or ostrich egg decorating...was this for a special occasion? Or is this a regular activity? Also, during the campfire storytelling, do they do a marshmallow roast or smores? We are really looking forward to this! And do they have movies by the pool at night? My daughter keeps asking so I said I would find out for her Thanks!

There are a ton of activites at AKL. They vary weekly but most of the one you mentioned are offered regularly. I don't think they roast mashmellows or have movies by the pool, at least they didnt when we stayed there in Dec. You will be giving an activity list at check in and there is also a bulletin board with the activites listed for the week right near bell services. I think my son's favorite activity was using the night vision goggles

There has been a pool side movie every day this week, sometimes a cartoon, sometimes a fsmily movie. When we went over to use the Kidani pool, we noticed them advertising a different movie than the Jambo pool offered. So it might be worth checking out both.

No marshmallow roasting. I honestly don't think the "structure" of the fire would lend itself to that.

i tried calling 3 times so far...No answer on cell phone... nor his room. I did speak w/ a nurse that said he needed to sleep. I'll try again tomorrow & see if they can give him a message to maybe call me when he's awake.
