Yacht Club, Beach Club & Beach Club Villas ~ Post All Your Photos!!!!

The pool it shares with the Yacht Club is great. You can walk over to the Boardwalk, which is a nice area. And you can also walk over to Ecpot. To me, that's one of the best aspects of staying there.

I completely agree! Stormalong Bay is amazing. The walk or boat ride to Epcot is great and it's SO much easier to enter Epcot through the International Gateway!! We also LOVE the dining options in the area. Cape May is a favorite of ours!!

Here are some pics from our trip last May 2012.

From what I have read you will enjoy either place and both get rave reviews. We will probably never stay at YC, because now we have stayed at BC and just love that! We love the light and airy decor of the BC, while the photos of YC rooms are just a little more classic. Here are some things to consider, from what I've read, heard and learned (but what do I know, I've never stayed at YC).

Pros for YC-
1.Better chance of getting a full balcony as almost all or all rooms have them. The BC has several rooms with juliet style balcony only (you can stand on it, but there is not room to sit).
2.A little quieter in the halls/common sitting areas (this is what I have heard)
3.Closer walk to HS (if you plan to walk; if taking the motor boats, a slight bit closer to those)

Pros for BC-
1.Closer walking distance to Epcot (ok it is like 3 minutes closer, but to some people that makes a difference).
2.Closer to the quick service Beach Club Marketplace.
3.Closer to Cape May Cafe (my fav!).
4.The smell in the lobby!

I have some friends who stay at the YC every time and wouldn't dream of staying at BC, just like we wouldn't dream of staying at YC (unless BC was full and then we definitely would!). I think you will be quite pleased with either choice. They are basically like the same hotel anyway. I have some more pics from our trip in 2011. I will post those here when I have time. That way you can see a couple different BC rooms and views. Have a wonderful trip to YC/BC!

This was our room the first time we stayed at BC. It was actually a very nice and roomy room, perhaps the layout was a little more functional than the room we had next year. We were right near an auxillary elevator, so we had a lot of noise in the morning just from people standing by the elevator talking while they waited for it to arrive. They weren't talking loud, but the doors seem paper thin at all Disney Deluxe Resorts. I am a super light sleeper, and once woken can't go back to sleep. Anyway, that is the ONLY reason this wasn't the most perfect room. We had a full balcony and even a wet bar in the bedroom area of the room. It was nice to have a sink to rinse out our cups, get water for the coffeemaker etc that wasn't in the bathroom area. I will post other pics of this same room later.

This is so beautiful! What time of year was this taken?

Thanks! This was just last month, January 27th.

Boy... remove the lighthouse and it almost looks like a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean movie! :rotfl: Nice shot!

Thank you! The fog was very movie like. It was thick and moving pretty fast, from the back of Yacht Club towards Boardwalk. A couple minutes after this shot, and you couldn't see across the lake.

I saw a recent pic of the castle at MK on a very foggy day and I think it was this past January. I wonder if it was the same day this pic was taken. Anyway, it is just gorgeous!

checking out of BLT this a.m. but booked a BB trip for September....coming back to YC/BC!!! BLT was nice (had a great castle view) but it just felt like another hotel room because of the theming.....with YC/BC and Poly when we are in the room it still feels like vacation :) Anyway looking forward to hanging at SAB!!!

This helps alot. It does seem that either choice would be great. My husband and son saw the picks of both resorts. They really want to try the YC. I planned it like a dream vacation for the far future. My son has no idea that we are going this summer:woohoo:. It is going to be fun and we are going to stay CL too. Thank you so much for the info :thumbsup2

Hi,
We are booked for May in a garden view room, however when I see your water view pics, it makes me wanna switch over. Do you feel that the extra money spent was justified. We stayed at WL last year and loved our courtyard/pool view and just don't wanna be disappointed this time.
Thanks.
