ADB Special Event hosted by travel agent

One of the local travel agents is hosting a 'special event' that includes "a special presentation to learn what traveling the world with ABD will mean for your family." It's scheduled to be 2 hours long, 5:30 - 7:30, and 'food and wine will be served'.

Has anyone been to one of these things? Is it worth it? I've seen the video and read up on these boards.... I'm wondering if there's anything there for me. The event is free but two hours on a school night would be a bit of a hassle for us.

Are they having someone from ABD there to do a presentation? If so, I do think it would be worth it. It's usually an Adventure Guide who will do those, and they are a wealth of knowledge.

If it's just something the TA is doing, then I guess it would really depend on the TA.

Just spoke with the travel agent. A disney adventure guide will be giving the presentation. I'm now wicked curious to hear what they have to say. On a lighter note the travel agent made a point of warning me that ABD is not the parks and that they won't be answering questions about them. guess a lot of people don't get that.

And OMG, it drives me nuts! On the ABD facebook page, in response to questions about "your favorite ABD", etc, start posting about their last trip to WDW. A lot of people do apparently have no *idea* what Adventures by Disney is. I feel sorry for them.
