What combination of strollers?

So we are going to Disney in late March again and I'm not sure which stroller combination to use this time.. the kids who need a strollers will be a 7 month old, 2 year old twins, a 4 year old, and 6 year old twins.(Yes its a lot of kids.. lets just say not all of them were planned! lol) So Im not sure which stroller combination to do. We have a triple stroller(which i don't prefer because its hard to move around in big crowds) 2 double strollers, and 3 single strollers. So my question is which strollers should we bring and who should sit in which ones? My husband and I can each push one, we have 3 older kids who are very capable of pushing some, and our nanny is coming so we wont be short of amount of people to push them but I just don't know which ones to bring. Our youngest was only 1 month old when we last went to Disney in August so she obviously was in a carrier in a single stroller but now she will be big enough to sit up and could sit in double if needed. So what are your recommendations? We could also rent strollers or buy new ones.. thanks for your help! :)

I would take the two doubles and two single strollers. I would sit the twins in the same double stroller because they weight about the same and will distribute the weight evenly and the two single children can ride in the two single strollers.

I am worn out with one set of twins so all I can say is wow!!! Anyway, do you think the six year olds will just need a stroller to rest here and there, maybe not all the time? Thinking that perhaps they can share one or even alternate in and out with the 4 year old (but you know your children best). Also, how big are the 6 year olds in terms of height and weight? I think the pp had the right idea but depending on your strollers, I am not sure if they will hold 2 6 year olds (unless they are tiny). I would bring two doubles (dividing the 4 youngest among the seats) then maybe one single if you think the 6 year olds can share or two singles for each six year old (and once again, checking height and weight). I am still amazed. Good luck.

Bentley is 44 inches tall and 41 pounds
Chloe is 42 inches tall and 38 pounds..
(they are both pretty skinny)

and yes i was contemplating not bringing a stroller for the 6 year olds but I cant decide. I just don't want to get there and be dealing with tons of complaining.

This is why we ended up buying a cheapy stroller when we went to the LAND last November. My 6 year old was tired and whining so DH ran to Wal-Mart and got a $20 stroller that the 2 year old actually preferred and the 6 year old sat in my other one.

That's a LOT of twins, I don't know how you do it!

I'd probably bring 2 doubles and maybe a Peg P3 or a stroller with a foot board? 4 strollers just seems like SO many to have to keep track of!

Wear the youngest, get strollers for the two year old twins and the four year old. Six year olds should be able to walk. You won't be moving that fast anyway.

i would love to be able to wear my youngest but for some reason she hates it. always kicks and cries when she is in it... she loves to be in strollers though. I would love the convince of being able to wear her but i don' think that's going to happen..

That stinks! What carriers have you tried?

I just wanted to say you are so blessed!
That is awesome to have so many multiples in your family:grouphug:
I would probably go with 2 doubles and one single. That way the 4 youngest can use the doubles, and you have a single for the 6 yr olds to take turns riding in. I doubt that they will want to ride in it all the time. Even the 4 yr old will want to walk some.
Once ours hit 5, we just have the stroller available for them to hop in and out of as they get tired.
Have an awesome trip!

I would bring two doubles for the youngest four and if a 6yo needs a break, the 4yo can hop out and walk for a while, etc. That's what we do when my family goes. They all like to have a little time out of the stroller, so we take a double for three kids and they rotate, although my 6yo walks 90% of the time.

Well, your 6 year olds are certainly small enough for most strollers. What type of strollers do you have at home (like brands, curious as to whether tandem or side by side). What are the singles?

I would avoid the triplet stroller at all cost. We brought our triplets and their stroller when they turned 1 yo and it was so hard with to manoeuvre wit hthe crowd. I would bring 2 double stroller for the younger ones. once in a while the 4yo will want to walk and on ofthe 6yo twins can sit for a bit.

My triplets have been going 1-2 a year since they are 1yo and our last trip was for their 6th b-day. They refused to use a stroller. They told me they were not babies anymore :thumbsup2 We did have a stroller has we brought the baby but not once did they sit in it. They prefered to ask for a mini break over riding in the stroller. That's probably how your older twins will feel also.

BTW congrats on your big family!

our double strollers are a Chicco Cortina Together(tandem) and a Baby Jogger City Mini GT Double(side by side) and both have worked fine in large crowds at the state fair and such so that's not an issue. But if you have better brand selections we could easily rent one, borrow it from a friend, or buy a new one if needed

The singles are a BOB Revolution(which is super nice and we won in a raffle at Brookes preschool!) an eddie bauer trailmaker, and a Baby Jogger City Mini Single. We've also had no problems with any of these. And we have like 4 cheepy smaller umbrella strollers..not sure about bringing those. Not amazing quality but i guess they would be lighter..

Thanks for all the help guys!

we've done the Jeep 2-in-1 Sport Baby Carrier, a BabyBjorn and a few wraps/slings.. shes hated them all which is strange because none of my other kids have problems with these but i guess every baby is different!

We loved the umbrella stroller for the trips to and from the pool didn't have to worry about it getting wet and it can be a long walk for little legs.

I would prob bring both doubles and 2 singles and one umbrella sounds like a ton but you can gate check strollers if you're flying.
in the parks I would try to bring 1 double and one single I think the 6 yo's and 4yo would want to walk a lot and could take turns riding when tired. If your 4 yo doesn't walk well I would take the doubles if they both maneuver well, my tandem is awesome but I hear some are not so good.
If you take both doubles I would put the infant in the front of the tandem because the lighter child over the front wheels usually makes them easier to steer. Good luck:) and have fun:)

Oh and if you have a good carrier you may be able to wear a 2 yo I would wear my almost 3yo for quite a long time walking long distances in an Ergo.

Op, the reason I asked is exhausted was wondering if you had a BOB. Was hoping you had a duallie. I know I can easily ride 3 kids in that (but please don't buy one just for WDW). If you do decide to rent Orlando stroller rentals has them but they are difficult on WDW buses (very bulky fold). I hate cheapie umbrellas with a passion and can't imagine pushing a child around WDW all day in one. I would bring your doubles and then whatever single or singles you wish to bring (I vote for the BOB and or the citi mini). I think you all have plenty of good quality WDW strollers without renting or buying new. Have fun!

The biggest problem with multiple and big strollers is getting them and the stroller riders on the buses. You have older kids who could be responsible for helping the younger ones on the bus when you take care of the strollers.
