When I was preparing for my cruise last year, there was a great thread about recommended reads. One of my favorite parts of a sea day is relaxing with a good book. Any suggestions?
I loved all the "Outlander" books and, like a PP, am eagerly awaiting the next installment. Definitely worth checking out if you have not read them. Each book is 800+ pages long, so you get a lot of bang for the buck! I'm currently reading the third book of the "Into the Wilderness" series by Sara Donati, and they're great as well.

Have you read the "short" stories as well? The Lord John novellas are brilliant and perfect if taking on such large books seems daunting.
I love this series, but I always feel like I have to go back a book or two each time a new book comes out
If you have a Kindle device, I suggest Finding Rebecca by Eoin Dempsey. I stayed up until 3am one night to finish it because I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. It has some dark parts (it is "A novel of love and the Holocaust"), but I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
Gone Girl is great!!!
