I am a connoisseur of fine hot dogs. Where are the most glorious hot dogs in all of Disney world. I will be there for 3 weeks starting next week , and me and my st Bernard Chihuahua mix Bertram only eat hotdogs.

Thank you in advance for your replies, and please do not respond if you wish to belittle me with your lies on the health benefits of frankfurters.

To all those who reply:

Please let us know if the hotdog is grilled over flame or on stove or steamed/water boiled or even fried?
:goodvibes

Are you planning on bringing your dog with you to WDW? Or was that statement just meant to emphasize your love for hot dogs? I only ask because there really aren't an abundance of hot dog places so you'll probably have to just go get some at Publix or WalMart or something...especially if you have to have a hot dog for breakfast. About the best hot dog: I would assume it's Casey's in MK, simply because it's a place that only serves hot dogs so they.must be good, right? Germany in EP always smells like sauerkraut to me so they may have some hot dogs, too. In all my trips to WDW, I have never actually eaten hot dog so I don't know if any are good...just trying to point you some direction.

First are you looking for a good tasting dog (hot that is, St Bernard Chihuahua mix, really :confused3) or a dog covered in toppings.

The reason I ask is that almost all dogs on property are a 60% chicken 40% beef mixture.

At Casey's they cover them with a huge amount of toppings in a huge bun to I think cover up the taste of the dogs.

A stand in Germany in Epcot I think still sells a real beef hot dog.

JZCubed I think all most all are boiled/steamed. We once had a hot dog in Beaches and Cream that as I recall was grilled but that was a while ago.

chartle, even the toppings couldn't help the taste of the hot dogs at Caseys! I also remember a place on Sunset Blvd in DHS that has gourmet hot dogs with toppings like bbq and mac & cheese :scared1: Can't think of any place that has quality hot dogs on site. Maybe Downtown Disney?

That would be Fairfax Fare in DHS that scare you so much. I think the best chance of decent Hot Dogs would be Germany pavilion. Sommerfest is the name. They only have a frankfurter and Bratwurst and have Sauerkraut on them. Not everyone's taste I do admit.

I don't know on the Nokia Troll Scale, 1 being the Travelocity Gnome and 10 being a HP Full Grown Mountain Troll "Troll in the Basement".

I give this a ............ envelope please

Next to Oscar Mayer, the hot dogs at Casey's are the most disgusting, awful tasting hot dogs! Ever! (IMHO)

Those at Fairfax at DHS, topped with bacon and Mac and cheese are supposed to be amazing. DH and DS would like to try them next trip.

Germany should be a good place.

I'm surprised nobody has chimed in about a Kid's Meal with Frankfurters (we never say hotdog in our house, we have three dogs).

And if Disney is notorious for poor choices for hamburgers, I'm not surprised they do not have a decent hotdog.

Ya'know, if I were going to start a rumor or make a request of Disney - if there is Starbucks, how about In-n-Out on West Coast and/or Five Guys on East Coast; Shake-Shack would work too.:worship:

Pretty sure its going to be the same dog just in a different dress.

The hotdogs at the lunching pad are pretty good!! We stopped for a quick lunch a few years ago and got a cheesesteak hotdog and i believe my sis inlaw had a taco hotdog!! I would go back again...I also love hotdogs!! :cool1:

I remember back in the day in Future World they had an amazing hot dog stand but that was years ago so it might be gone. :( They were foot longs too & VERY good. Good luck :)

Does anyone know if the Lunching Pad still has the Taco Hotdogs? I have heard about it before but don't see it on the menu posted on Touring Plans. Anybody know if its still on the menu?

In order to be considered a decent hot dog, it needs to be 100% beef, and nitrate free. That rules out the ones WDW (although the ones in Germany may be exempt from this statement). Covering a bad hot dog with condiments is like prettying up a pig with lipstick - neither works.
