Thanks!! I'm SO EXCITED to be part of this! Been up since 6am for work and am STILL UP packing last minute things. I make no promises of remembering to capture my first Disney meal at this point. But here's where we're eating:

Mon - 50's Prime Time Cafe dinner for dad's birthday
Thurs - 'Ohana breakfast for mom's birthday
Fri - Supercalifragilistic breakfast for sis' treat

We're likely to hit a lot of typicals beyond that but who knows! It's Disney!

What perfect timing! I had just decided to take a short break from studying for midterms (by checking this thread ) and the first thing I see is Emily and Brenda's Jiko update! It's great to hear that the food was solid, and I'm hoping the new places they're trying will continue to impress.

Now I have a lot more updates to read

Great H&V review!! The last time we were there the food wasn't even close to being / looking that good!!!

How was the cleanliness of the restaurant in general? On our last visit a few years ago we found it to be quite unkempt especially the floors and the buffet area itself.

The restaurant was very clean! They had a great deal of wait staff around making sure the turnover was done quickly as well. They were consistently changing up the foods to make sure they were hot as well!!

That looks amazing and I love gnocchi!Seriously considering changing our O'hana reservation to Narcossee's now. I am on the fence about it in the first place but seeing all these other great meals is pretty much sealing the deal to swap it out.

I gnocchi as well! Just looking at the menu, they were the selling point. I was a bit confused when it came out, because they looked like scallops!! But, overall, now that our trip is over, THIS DISH was my absolute favorite!!!

Since we were somewhat short on game participants during the first part of February and it looks like we will again be short in March (*see Note below), I've decided to continue the February Game throughout the month of March. I've made only one addition regarding the Flower & Garden food & beverage kiosks. Each item from these kiosks that is included in an update will be worth 1 snack point.

Breakfast this morning was at the Animal Kingdom Lodge's...



BOMA

"Sausage, corned beef, fresh pineapple, and bread pudding with caramel pecan sauce."

"Omelet with mushrooms, onion, and cheese."

"Grilled asparagus, scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, and turkey bobotie."

"Waffles (above) and chocolate chip pancakes (below)."

"Earl Grey tea and "jungle" juice (I believe it is a mix of orange, passionfruit, and mango juice). The Earl Grey was very nice, and they will bring cream, honey, or lemon for it as well."



Emily said, "Like Jiko, again this was very good." ​

Next up are some updates from DaisyluvzGoofy, starting with some snacking around Epcot's World Showcase.


She said, "Friday was our last day in the parks and our favorite, Epcot! We at breakfast at home so we didn't start eating... or drinking for that matter, until later in the afternoon. DH and I headed back into Les Halles for some snacks! "

"We shared a Apple Turnover and baguette, as well as I had a Napoleon and DH had a Chocolate Croissant. The Baguette was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Ask them for butter!! The Apple Turnover was really flaky and delicious. I wasn't impressed with the Napoleon because it was impossible to eat!!! The layers were soggy already and I had to eat each layer individually because it was just flat impossible!! DH loved the croissant but wished it had more chocolate in it. (Don't we all?!?!?)"






Then a stop at the Mitsukoshi store in Japan to...

"I got a 7 3/4 mm pink pearl!! Whooohooo!!!"





Then on to Germany...

"I had the Oktober Fest beer & a pretzel outside of Germany, where the sign is from, but I forgot to take a picture of it!!!"




"We then headed over to get some treats next door at..."


Karamell Kuche

"I had the pretzel stick with caramel & pecans (the one my mom is holding). The pecans on it tasted like honey roasted peanuts, and it was amazing!!! My dad had a chocolate and caramel covered pineapple. He really enjoyed it. We also snacked on some of the freshly made caramel corn, that was irresistible after watching it being made!"

Daisy added, "I included a bunch of pictures from inside Karamell Kuche, which doesn't describe how small that shop really is! It may be small, but boy oh boy does it smell wonderful. Ahhhh... I miss it already!!!"





"After finishing my beer in Germany, I headed to China for my reward... Tipsy Ducks in Love!!"


Joy of Tea

"This drink was great! And they weren't skimpy on the Jim Beam!!! The drink was nice and strong! It had a great balance of chocolate and coffee flavors. I agree that if you like Bailey's you'd like this drink. We thought about getting a second but we wanted to keep moving."





Kringla Og

"DH ran ahead while we were enjoying the Tipsy Duck to Norway to grab School Bread. He apparently saw this on the thread and had to have one. I totally forgot about them, but it was great! They tasted really fresh, light and very creamy. If you don't like coconut then don't bother with this!!"

Grilled Mahi Mahi with Laughing Bird Shrimp, Hearts of Palm, Jasmine Rice, Cilantro, and a Coconut-Lime Sauce


"I had the Mahi-Mahi. It was in a coconut-lime sauce but this was a tad too overwhelming for me, and I love lemon/lime sauces!! The textures worked well with each other. The soft Mahi, long rice, shrimp and the sauce together were nice."

Orange Ginger-glazed Scottish Salmon with Vegetable Stir-fry

"This is DH's Salmon. He raved about the Teriyaki sauce!! I got to try some, and it lived up to the hype! Flavorful but not too salty. He said the fish was really well done and loved the veggies that came with it. Filling but not stuffed from the portion size."

Coral Reef Lobster Orecchiette Pasta with White Cheddar Cheese and Basil Oil



"Lobster Orecchiette Pasta was my mom's dish. She liked it a lot and had large pieces of lobster in her dish. I tried a little bit and it was nice and creamy, but could have had a stronger cheddar taste in my opinion. If you like creamy without overpowering cheese flavor this would be for you!"

"This is my dad's salmon. His looked a little different so we figured it deserved it's own picture update. He really liked it too. He found it very filling and couldn't finish."

"I couldn't resist getting dessert, honestly..."

Baileys and Jack Daniel's Mousse topped with a caramel crisp


"On our honeymoon they brought out the Chocolate Wave before we could pick a dessert. (Which was a nice surprise, but we really wanted the Bailey's & Jack Mousse) We had it this time though!!! The top part of the mousse had the Bailey's flavor, and the bottom the Jack. It was DELICIOUS!!! AHHH! I wish I could have bottled this and taken it back! If you aren't partial to the taste of Bailey's, don't bother. I think the two liquors pair well together because they both have a caramel after-taste. The mousse was light and fluffy, and there was plenty to be shared by two!"

Orange Cheesecake with Blood Orange Sauce


"Mom & Dad had the Orange Cheesecake. My mom is a sucker for cheesecake. (See: Narcoossee's ). They loved this. I tried a bit and wouldn't have traded my mousse for it any day! They loved it so much they took little bites for a long time, so long that DH and I had finished and were sitting patiently for them to be done."





"I'll leave you with one last photo: I'm a Disney Chase cardmember so we got to have a special photo with Mickey & Pluto at the Cardmember Photo Center in one of the Innoventions buildings."

"The Allearsnet menu lists a crispy chicken sandwich, which is what the boys wanted. Unfortunately it is in reality a SPICY chicken sandwich, so they all got an order of these. They were hot and fresh."

She said, "On Friday, DH and my middle son went to the running expo to pick up their packets for the 5K and DH's for the Princess Half-Marathon. My other two boys and I went to Champions Stadium for the first Braves spring training game."

"Here is the concession stand menu..."

"So what is required eating at a baseball game?"

"Caesar salad? Well maybe not, but that's what I had. You could get it with chicken added but mine was plain. This was pretty much straight out of a salad bag mix, but it was so hot that I just wanted something light."

"The boys each had a hotdog meal."

"After the game they allow the kids to run the bases. Here we are after they "rolled" the bases."

"This was kind of a ramped up Greek salad, as it was FULL of extra veggies. I love this kind of salad!"

Kids Cheese Pizza

"This is a thin crust pepperoni, mushroom and tomato pizza. Their stuffed pies take 45 minutes to cook and we wanted to get to Downtown Disney so DH opted for this. I had a slice and it was very good."



"My oldest had Spaghetti Alfredo and though I have no pic, I know he ate every noodle."

"The hot fudge part was unbelievably good. The butterscotch was just OK, as it was almost sickly sweet. Next time we'll just stick with "tried and true" chocolate."
