6 MONTH ANNIVERSARY REVIEW PART IV






HAPPY WEDNESDAY FRIENDS!!! The week is half way over! For me this "weekend" I will not be having a weekend! We have a school event: International Festival in downtown Celebration on Saturday and Sunday I'm working at DHS..= no weekend for me! I won't be off till Sunday Feb 10th!

I need to work on finishing the review so I can move on to whatever is next!!


OH BEST NEWS EVER TODAY!!!!!

#1. DBF booked Ohana on Feb 15 (our late V-Day dinner) for 8pm so I cancelled my one for 9:35pm..yay!!

#2 WE FINALLY GOT OUR STATEROOM NUMBER!!!! We were even upgraded from 6A to 5A!!! I hope the room is good! The only negative review that I read was a family who thought it slept 4 but that room only sleeps 3. There's only two of us so we're good!


NOW FOR THE REPORT...

SAT JAN 19

When we left off, we left paradise for POFQ!! This was my "treat" to DBF. It's the first resort we stayed at together as a couple so it holds a special place in my heart. It's also the same resort I ever stayed at as a child so two special places..ironic!

We got through security, parked the car in the main lot, lugged all our bags into the lobby and checked in! The CM gave us room 5323, put DBF's CC on file for charges, and off we went!

The King rooms seem so much larger than two queens!

Last time we stayed we got the shampoo/cond combo. I was happy to see this!

We did request building 5 because it's close to the lobby, food court, pool, and boat. We got what we wanted! Check out the view!

And my phone case that matches my purse!

That slide used to be the greatest thing on Earth when I was 7 haha.

After unpacking, I realized we had left our mugs in the car. I had parked my car in the same lot the week before when I took my work ID to put on file for the room discount and came back to find ANTS all over the inside of my car.

When we went out to get the mugs, once again, ANTS ALL OVER MY CAR!!!

It's been over a week since we left and I'm still finding some..ugh!!

We ended up throwing the mugs out (we were getting new ones anyways) and I wiped the entire front of my car with baby wipes and car cleaner.

After that nightmare, we were finally ready to keep exploring the resort.

We went into the gift shop to get some cold medicine. It was $2.00 with my 40% CM merch discount so that wasn't horrible but when we went to pay the card was declined!! It turns out the CM never set a credit limit so a 2 second fix and we were off to find our new mugs. I got teal and DBF got Black.

After some drinks we decided to take the boats to DTD and try to get into Splitsville! It was around 5 so I thought we should get in easy..WRONG.

We got there at 5:15 and there was already a 2.5 hour wait. We decided to bail as I did not feel like waiting that long to bowl. We looked at movie times for Fork and Screen and nothing was appealing. The balloon was not running bc of weather so we walked back to the boat and headed for dinner at POFQ.

I got the fried chicken with ice cream as my dessert.

It was delicious and hit the spot!

After dinner we pretty much called it a night with the hopes that I'd feel better in the morning because we had a long day ahead with a visit from my Aunt and Uncle + my brother and his gf!!

6 Month Anniversary Trip Part V






HAPPY MONDAY DIS FRIENDS!!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I ended Friday by seeing my local dr, they took X-Rays of my toe and it turns out it's broken. The conversation went as follows..Dr: "So it hurts, let me take a look" He proceeds to pull and touch the very sore and bruised toe and says.."YEP! There's a huge crack on your x-ray, it's broken". So a buddy-taped foot and I'm on my way to a 4-6 week healing time! It has been quite interesting trying to tape this on my own..thank goodness for my roommate!!!


Back to the report!!

Sun Jan 20th

I was sleeping with the hopes that I would feel better in the morning. My aunt and uncle were coming up from Tampa for the day to meet DBF and my Bros DGF so we had a busy day in store! Thank goodness they didn't show up till after 9am because we got to sleep in!

I had beignets for breakfast!!

When they showed up at the resort, we showed them our room and headed for...

We got FPs for Soarin and heading for our lunch at Via Napoli. I didn't take any pics but I had the pasta with cream sauce and chicken as did bro's DGF. Everyone else had pizza which was yummy too!! We had a great meal and left stuffed!

After Epcot we headed to...

We walked around and it was super busy..the only thing we did...

I didn't care though because I had a free holiday ticket that expired in Feb anyways so at least it wasn't wasted!

We shopped after the ride and headed back to POFQ. We said our goodbyes and they were headed back to Tampa.

After a rest, DBF and I decided to head to MK for dinner...

MK was also packed!!

We only rode...

Most QS locations were packed so we decided to head out before the fireworks and catch a bus to POR for dinner.

When we saw MK from TTA it was a mad-house of people so we walked past Noodle Station and thankfully they had a back passage open to skip main street and come out by Tonys and the Hat shop..it was brilliant!!!!!!!! I was so happy to see that and DBF was thrilled to see "backstage!"

We got to the stop and a bus pulled away. 5 mins later another one came, filled it with less than 10 ppl and drove off!

We did some shopping in their gift shop then had dinner. I decided to have the carved turkey and DBF had the carved beef. Both were yummy!!

We were allowed to take our ice cream dessert back on the boat to POFQ which I was happy to see too!!!


We got settled for the night, played Uno and went to bed!


SUNDAY JAN 21

Today was supposed to be our Splitsville day!! I woke up not feeling too hot but I managed to make it through lunch with Dbro and Dbro's GF since we made plans for them to stop by.

We weren't able to get late check-out so we were evicted at 11am. We made it to DTD parking lot when I said this is a lot of money to bowl and I don't feel well so we went back to my apt, I napped for 2 hours, and we headed to POP for dinner before airport.

At POP we had a yummy dinner then I took DBF to the airport but sadly I couldn't go straight home because I had to pick my roommate up 2 hours later so I went back to POFQ, used the hot tub, pool, got a snack and drink then headed back to the airport.



FINAL THOUGHTS...

I wish I had not been sick

We LOVED GF!

POFQ feels like home!

Ants in car = dislike!!!!

QS DDP = worth it at the CM discount price!!

CRUISE BUYS!!!




HAPPY FRIDAY DIS FRIENDS!!!

FIRST OF ALL....

30 DAYS TILL WE SET SAIL!!!!!!!

I have not updated in forever...life has taken over for now!!

Last weekend DBF and I spent a Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend at CSR for a wonderful loving fun weekend!! I will post a report on that but I'll do a cruise update first!!!


CRUISE BUYS!!

As of today..we DO have a stateroom number, we DO NOT have resorts/hotels for pre/post cruise, DBF DID get his cruise documents, I DID NOT I am patiently waiting but we might have to call. My mail is very inconsistent which is not good at all!

I have been slowly buying things for the cruise, pre cruise, and post cruise. I got a $50 Walmart gift card for Xmas and used some of it for some buys and got some stuff at Target too!

After seeing prices of these at Walmart tonight, I'm not so sure they were such good buys...oh well.

Hoping I won't have to use two of those medicines!

Went to DAT at DTD and made shirts for Pirate night!!

DBF's is a POTC shirt..too dark and boy'ish for me but I liked the cute/mickey character one! I'm going to try and dress it up by pulling up the sleeves with ribbon.

Bought this cover-up at MK near Magic Carpets. I had a gift card from xmas and only ended up paying $7 for it! I also snagged it before my holiday 40% discount ended!

DBF bought me the following items for Xmas that will be joining us!

I'll be wearing the shirt on the day we leave for the cruise!

Mickey, Lanyard, and tote bag!

I borrowed the dress from my friend and will be wearing it for formal night

Also borrowed from my friend to wear either on the cruise or after

Tonight I started to gather things together for the trip. I don't think I'll be having any hotel stays between now and then. My toiletry bag

I bought it 5+ years ago from disney.com and it has held up so well unlike other travel items I have bought from them.

Make-up bag

DBF has items that he keeps here so his are some-what packed too!

Body Wash, Shampoo, and Hair Gel!

That's it for now! The only two things that I have yet to buy (I think) is Chaffing Gel (a lifesaver!) and new Mascara.


I'm hoping to start posting day-by-day plans in a few days!!!

HAPPY FRIDAY AGAIN!!!!

I figured that I would continue to update trips between now and the cruise!

DBF came for Valentine's Day last weekend and we had a blast!!!

THURSDAY FEB 14

Today was a crazy day! I had school and the kids had a V-Day party at the end of the day! It was raining all day long but it has quit over lunch so I decided to head to CSR to check in and haul everything in while it was some-what dry!

I went to check in and my friend "D" who's a room assigner/rooms ready/etc checked me in, in less than 5 minutes (hehe) We were given 9557 which is a King Room/Water View.

After driving over to the building, I hauled everything in and rushed back to school.

After school I was finally able to relax for a bit! At that point, I was convinced DBF was going to surprise me because he ended up taking the day off, said his flight was delayed, and my roomie who I had plans with before he came, cancelled on me. He did not surprise me haha. BUT I did get flowers at school!!!!


Room Views..

Was not on the bed but it was at least there!

DBF's gifts. He got a DAT from DTD for the cruise, Disney Secrets book, and a Lanyard of all the resorts we've stayed at so far together...I think he melted when he saw that!!!

Because it was dark out, I was not able to get any good room view pics but I will post more later on!

At that point, I was hungry and alone so I decided to head for dinner at Pepper Market. This is such a great deal with the DDP!!!

I got a bottle of water and the server filled my mug. I left a small cash tip and was on my way!!

I love the dresses you have for the trip! We ended up going to the dinning room every night of our carnival cruise and dressing up every night too, not formally, but a casual dress and DH in khaki pants. Did you buy any motion sickness medicine? I did not, but ended up being so sick the first night all the way to the evening of our second day. I bought medicine on the ship, but am positive it is cheaper at a store.

They are sending them separate I think because he listed my address for me since we don't live together. He got his package with the book/luggage tags but I never got anything and mine aren't with his. He's going to call today and see what they can do.

The 4 night Disney I guess is Formal (optional) so I'm going to wear that dress! We're doing doing Palo or Remy for dinner but I'll wear it to whatever room we're in that night and secretly I"m hoping it's not AP because it doesn't scream formal to me haha..the other two seem more like that!

I did bring medicine.did you see the first update about the cruise buys?? I bought two types and hopefully don't need them!

VALENTINE'S DAY WEEKEND II



HAPPY SATURDAY DIS FRIENDS!!!!

I figured I would update before my day begins. I'm working at WDW tonight and will be starting my day when normally I'm ending my day when I'm at school..eek! We'll see how my broken foot holds up tonight as two weeks ago it was touch and go! The sun is shining but they say we are to get rain today and tomorrow with 88 degrees today!! (don't hate). Hope you have a good weekend too!!!

THURS FEB 14​

When I left off I was leaving dinner and about to explore the club! After I got room keys that worked, I was in the land of goodness!!!

They don't put this tray out until 7pm..why? I don' t know and forgot to ask.

They will even give you to-go bowls/plate if you want to take things out. I took this for DBF when when he arrived at midnight.

There was literally no one in there!! I couldn't believe it. At least for the CM discount it was $22 extra a night so between breakfast and one alcoholic beverage is the cost right there! We ended up having a drink before or after dinners since it was included!

After my snack, sangria, and one to go..I went for the hot tub!

Also no one at the pool! It was of course after 10 and temps were dropping. There were two people in the semi hot hot tub and 3 more came later on. It began to rain harder so I took off back to the room to shower and collect my DBF at MCO!!

He landed on time and after a wrong turn leaving the airport (I know right, I drive there and back how many times a year but whatever haha) but we made it back to CSR just around 1:15am. After exchanging cards and gifts, we hit the sack!

FRI FEB 15​

I woke up at the crack of dawn because even though it was a holiday on Monday, I still had work and had to review our progress reports (Montessori type of report card since we don't give grades). I had a wonderful filling breakfast before I went!

The only thing that changed for breakfast were the muffins/cinn rolls/danishes

Once again, NO ONE THERE!!!

It was a great breakfast and just my type of breakfast! I was glad to see juice and milk was included! I often filled my mug with the coffee in there and didn't have to fight the madness of the main building or make some in the room! Honestly, if you stay at CSR and can swing business class/club level...DO IT!!!!!!!!!

Off to work I went and was thankfully done at 1 so that I could spend the rest of the day with my Valentine!!

VALENTINE'S DAY WEEKEND III

FRI FEB 15​

When I left off, I was headed back to CSR from school and DBF had decided to go to DTD to do some shopping and was also on his way back.

When I got home I took some room view pics!

When I got into the room, housekeeping had not come yet so I decided to make a call to see when they service to and was told 5. I decided to wait it out. When DBF came back we headed for Pepper Market for lunch!

I could have sworn I took pics of lunch but maybe not? I had a philly cheesesteak and fruit tart with bottled water and DBF had bacon cheeseburger with chocolate pastry of some sorts.

After lunch our room was still not done so I called again and they were sending someone so we decided to head to DHS because DBF was going to get an AP!!!!! We debated about going to AK instead or Company D because I can get about $50 off but you have to pay cash or Disney Gift Card so we just went to DHS and I said I'd pay $200 towards the pass for his birthday in April. Note..it was just before 3pm when we got there.

We got to DHS and I wasn't able to get a gift card outside so I went inside leaving DBF outside. I went to the shop next to the photopass room and was given a nice new CM in training. She swiped my CC and gift card and then nothing happened. In the meantime she called a Coordinator and Visa Chase had a pending $200 on my account. After a coordinator, manager, and area manager, they finally walked me over to Guest Relations after 45mins trying to void it! EEEK!!

In the meantime, DBF was STILL outside and they walked him into the park. When all was said and done, a wonderful CM at GR named "D" was able to get us DBF's AP and knocked [COLOR="Red"]$250 OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!![/COLOR] It was seriously one of the best guest recoveries I had ever seen and they knew I was a CM which is just as great! DBF was thrilled he got an AP for $202!!!!! And..the $200 gift card charged was dropped off from my Visa which was good since we never got the gift card or used it!!!!

After a nearly hour + dealing with that, we decided to walk around the park. At that point it was 4:05pm and I was in need of a butterfinger cupcake and of course Bakery closes at 4 so I was 5 mins too late but DBF got an AP for $202 so I couldn't complain!

Wait times were nuts but we did ride Star Tours

After our one ride, we headed back to CSR to get ready for an Ohana Dinner!

When we got back, Housekeeping had finally come and did a fantastic job!

I had asked for extra products (or amenities as they called them at GF haha)

I guess she felt that DBF's side was not as organized as mine.

We got ready and drove over to the Poly for our 8pm dinner. Wishes was at 8 so I knew we wouldn't get in till after 8 and it was 8:20pm exactly when we were seated.

We were given a table near the grill and had one of the best servers/service at Ohana (which is hard to come by sometimes!) I got a Diet Cherry Coke and DBF got a Coke.

The steak was slightly raw for both of us but I ate my weight in shrimp and chicken so I didn't care.

I look so tired haha

After dinner we strolled through the gift shops and headed back to CSR. DBF did some work and I headed to bed.

VALENTINE'S DAY WEEKEND TR IV




HAPPY THURSDAY DIS FRIENDS!!!

The weekend is almost here 24 days till we set sail!! I'm going to be doing an update this weekend but figured I would throw out another V-Day weekend update first!!!


SAT FEB 16

We woke up bright and early, had breakfast at the lounge (sorry no pics) and decided to head to MK to check out the True Love sights!

It was when we arrived we were like whoa. HOLIDAY WEEKEND.

DBF's pass worked and we were on our way in!

We PP pics taken which didn't come out too bad considering my MK pics NEVER turn out good!

We decided that it was too late at that point to try for BOG so we settled for Pecos Bills. The line was way long and out the door but we ordered at the kiosk and then they seated us. The only thing I didn't like was that you had to go through the same wait to be seated line to get to the bar. I wish they had suggested you visit the bar before you're seated. It was a minor complaint especially since the area by the bathrooms was being guarded and clear.

The food was good and fresh though!

We did some shopping at Emporium after lunch and decided to head out as it was pretty crazy. This is the guest relations hot mess as we left...I also posted this on FB haha

When we got back to CSR, we did a photo opt on the bridge!

We got back to find Mousekeeping had come and the room looked fantastic! This is where our good mousekeeping ended haha.

BIGGEST MICKEY EVER!

It wasn't warm by any means but we decided to check out the hot tub!

Overrun...We didn't stay long.

We went back to the room and decided to hit the lounge before dinner!

Dinner that night...

When we checked in the CM said to another family they were 20mins + behind so we sat outside till it got chilly then headed inside. We were seated at a pretty good car as hitchhikers.

Our server was pretty good but IMO this restaurant is notorious for poor service and a very long wait in-between everything.

For drinks:

I had not read good things about the steak before going but I got it anyways. Poor choice. It was quite possibly the worst steak I've ever had and filled with 1/2 fat. At that point we were so far past our reservation time and it took forever to get our food that I didn't have the heart to send it back so I ate what I could and banked on dessert

Dessert:

To die for if you love peanut butter + chocolate!

The server took two pics of us and we were on our way.

Moral of the night..DO NOT GET STEAK AT SCI FI!!

After we got back, we decided to hit the lounge and take food and drinks to go!

DBF did some homework as I watched TV and we hit the sack early!!!
