70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

So I am a tad late joining the party!! Enjoying your TR so far, I have made it to when you were eating lunch at Crystal Palace, I am jealous!! We were at Disney for our boys' 4th and 8th birthdays (their birthdays are December 5th) from Dec. 4-December 9 2011 and went to CP on the 6th, it was terrible! Every other time we have ever eaten there, we loved it, but that time, the food was terrible, our server was okay, but we never even got to see Pooh bear!!! I was so upset, I think I cried!! So the hubs and I decided we will be skipping it for a few trips, but I am glad you guys enjoyed it!! I can't wait to get caught up with the rest of your trip!!

Welcome. Better late than never.. I've two trip reports in one going on here now :goodvibes We thought lunch in CP was fab maybe they were just having an off day on the 6th.

Awesome updates and pictures. You got some really great photos of the fireworks and lazer. Sorry you were feeling off walking with the mob to exit....but I get like that even though I'm taller...just too many people makes me claustraphobic (I'm sure that's not spelled right).

Cute ornaments in the Christmas shop.

That castle show does look and sound really cool! I love the pictures! They really capture the essence of the show.

Cute ornaments, but not cool to have so many broken ones mixed in with the good ones.

I know what you mean. I just can't do crowds sometimes.

Cute ornaments in the Christmas shop.
There was some very cute decorations around

The photos from the fireworks are all taken off the video camera :)

I know there seemed to be a general lack of caring going on in Disneyland Paris. In WDW I know they aren't perfect and I'm sure stuff gets broken over there as well but you don't seem to see it on the shelf so much.

Happy Valentines day

Great pin scores, but that is so strange how different they are about the trading! That would weird me out!

Thanks for the Valentine luv it :)

The pins over there were cool. The way they traded did weird me out alot though. They also examined the pins that you gave them and I dunno why. I mean I know there are scrappers out there but I saw scrappers on their lanyards so if they were checking for that why take some from other people like. I dunno :confused3 I questioned this as well when I mailed guest services. I'm saving that until the end :)

Day 4, part 1:

Friday, 9th November 2012

I feel I should start this day's reporting with this picture:
tangled_____frying_pan_by_disgrace_angel369-d398z19_zpsbee08180.jpg

So today started the same as the last two up early, got breakfast at the hotel and headed towards Disneyland. This was our last full day in Paris and our last park day and it was a foggy morning in Disneyland:
SAM_4563-001_zps284c3eb2.jpg

We got to the parks to early again so we wandered World of Disney again for a bit. I took more pics of the details on World of Disney and some of the merchandise:
SAM_4564_zps54c9be79.jpg

SAM_4567_zpsf71f02ed.jpg

This I kept going back to this. I saw the Mickey Mouse one in Epcot and wanted it and in DLP they had Mickey, Minnie or this one. I love Stitch so I kept looking and would put it back. In the end I didn't buy it but I did a secret valentine exchange with the UK dissers and whoever got me sent me one of these. See I was destined to have him and I love him:
SAM_4570_zps92b26d57.jpg

Anyways after browsing World of Disney we headed towards the park taking a bazillion more pics along the way. Seriously like it takes me half an hour just to get to the entrance because of all the stopping for pics lol. If you went to the far side of this statue there was a castle that you couldn't see in the other pic I put up of it:
SAM_4571_zpsa65d4438.jpg

Also my DLP trip report has been lacking balloon pictures so I took some pictures to fix that problem:
SAM_4572_zps53de77fa.jpg

SAM_4573_zps7e718b17.jpg

SAM_4574_zps6fafc7ff.jpg

We eventually did actually get into the park and I spotted different balloons:
SAM_4580_zpsff6d85ac.jpg

I also stopped to pin trade with a CM here and again weird experience I asked if I could pin trade and her reply was only if you have a pin I like. Eh ok then!
Did I mention that today was the start of the Christmas season in DLP as well? They had more Christmas decorations and stuff up around the entrance hub:
SAM_4581_zpsde3c64aa.jpg

SAM_4585_zps25080b71.jpg

The green fence was taken down from around the Christmas tree:
SAM_4587_zps3cc188fd.jpg

and Main Street had more garlands (see how foggy it is you can barely see the Castle from the bottom of Main Street)
SAM_4588_zps5d6feadb.jpg

There was a meet and greet set up in one corner for Duffy but he wasn't going to be out that day. I was sad I wanted to see Duffy. However there was three mobs going on around the Christmas tree. I battled my way to the top of one scrum and although I couldn't get a picture with the character had to take a pic. I've never seen this character in any parks before. It's Angel (Stitch's girlfriend)
SAM_4589_zpsf225b283.jpg

Stitch was with her but they left shortly after I battled my way to the top to snap Angel. In the background you can also see Santa Goofy was meeting on a Sleigh for the festive season. When Angel and Stitch were leaving omg the craziness. Firstly because it was the start of the Christmas season there was alot of press and photographers around the park as well as travel agent types. So Stitch went to leave and people began chasing after him so he stopped for to pose for people. I had a really good shot and one of the press photographers jumped in front of me as I snapped so I snapped this instead as Stitch left:
SAM_4592_zpsc5f26238.jpg

We took our time heading towards the Castle hub and decided to wander the shops on Main Street that we hadn't looked at the first day like the confectionary shop:

Always look up in Disney is something I learnt from trip reports sometimes it's worth it like in the glass shop in DLP:
SAM_4600_zpsb5ac08e4.jpg

Momma wanted tea so we went into Main Street Bakery and while she got her tea I took pics:
SAM_4602_zps6d2c1de8.jpg

SAM_4605_zpsbcb2e22e.jpg

After that we went out to the castle hub to wait for the first Christmas event of the day. Lookie how foggy it was even beside the Castle it's covered in fog. I think it looks more fairy-tale ish though with the fog:

Next up: A Christmas Cavalcade adventure

What a gorgeous ceiling! Wow!

I love all your balloon pictures! I am a big fan of taking those myself.

I was shocked at how foggy it was. But then I keep remembering you are NOT in Florida. :rotfl: Doh!

How cool that you got that Stitch statue for your gift exchange. It was obviously meant to be.

:goodvibes the fog did make things look more fairytale ish I thought though. Except it also made it alot colder out as well

I know I was so happy when I got him. Destined to own him :)

I don't pin trade. but the experience there sounds weird. I love the picture of Angel. I didn't even know Stitch had a girlfriend.

The Disney Dreams show looks really neat!

And I love all those ornaments! And the treats! YUM!

I didn't even know Stitch had a girlfriend. I must have missed that movie. :confused3

It made me a little uncomfortable I prefere trading in Florida although the Cast Lanyard pins in Paris are nicer

The Disney Dreams show looks really neat!
It was cool. Plus I learnt French for some Disney Characters... I can't spell it but Tinkerbell is pronounced - plu-chet in French :)

And I love all those ornaments! And the treats! YUM!
There was loads of really cute ornaments. I think this trip was the most indecisive I've ever been about what I wanted to buy :rotfl:

I love the picture of Angel. I didn't even know Stitch had a girlfriend.

Angel wasn't from any of the movies. I believe there was a cartoon series about Stitch on the Disney Channel and it brought in more of the experiments like Stitch is experiment 626. Angel was from that afaik.

I think I'd have given up on the pin trading by now... they must do things a lot differently in that park than they do here. I'm sorry they made it such a pain.

That's great that you got to see the first official day of the Christmas season in the park. Too bad they still haven't figured out a way to control the chaos around the characters. I mean, doesn't the word "queue" have French roots??? :confused3 :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Your TR's always make me want to go to Disney...and eat!!! Love the latest, as always!

Thank you. I loled at the eat part. Disney food is definately the best type of food in the world :) I love the pic as well :goodvibes

It was uncomfortable but I will have more info on that from my email to guest services at the end. I'm saving that until the very end :)

I love Christmas in the Disney parks :) Queue? They didn't even want to queue in the toilets they were hardly going to queue for a character :rotfl:

Attention all my lovely Dis friends. Are any of your little Princesses size 9-10 in tops?

Day 4, part 2:

So when I left you we had just got to the Castle Hub and there was more Christmas decorations here because the green areas were covered in snow (fake obv) and they had Disney Snow Characters:

Castle minus fog:

After that we had a short wait for the Christmas Cavalcade and once it started I went IT'S SNOWING MOMMA (take note that it will come back up):

and it ended with a whole bunch of Disney friends:

SAM_4630_zps70ffcf8a.jpg

After the Christmas Cavalcade Momma and I headed around the side of the castle into Fantasyland, the plan being to get fast passes for Peter Pan. We had to stop to take some pictures along the way though:
SAM_4631_zpsd0712975.jpg

SAM_4633_zps99653a01.jpg

SAM_4646_zps7375b276.jpg

Around here the day started to take a dip for a while. We were already tired from lack of sleep the first day, sick of the rudeness around the park and I was missing my WDW. So we stopped to take pictures and I took a nice pic of Momma with the castle and decorations in the background and she went to take a picture of me but everytime said it was wrong so we just gave up both of us were getting huffy at this stage so we continued into Fantasyland and wheee burst of excitement I spotted a character I'd never seen in the parks before and went MOMMA RABBIT and I went over to the mob to get a picture turned around and Momma was gone. :sad2:
I battled to the top of the mob and snapped this before going to find her:
SAM_4649_zpsb0395e0a.jpg

I found her sitting on the wall at the Small World globe and words were had and then we both went over to Peter Pan to try get fastpasses but the return time was 3.30 and I was thinking if we wait another few minutes we could get them for when the parade was on around this point as well I'm not sure what happened but I just lost it and started crying and wanted to go back to hotel. I was done with Disneyland, I wanted to go home. I have never felt that way in a Disney park before but I was just sick of all the rudeness and complete lack of magical feeling I was getting out of DLP. Maybe we were just there on a bad week I dunno. :confused3
Anyway we decided not to go back to the hotel but continued on to Adventureland in silence pretty much we didn't go on any rides but just took in the scenery around Adventureland. This was over by Pirates:
SAM_4654_zps47197ff9.jpg

SAM_4655_zps57a215fd.jpg

SAM_4656_zps6f8130dc.jpg

I think you could go on the ship to explore but I didn't see anyone doing it that day so think it might have been closed.
We wandered down some side trail and found this photo op:
SAM_4662_zps1d2b611c.jpg

The Swiss family tree house:
SAM_4663_zpsdee6c417.jpg

We strolled over towards Frontierland to explore that area as well:
SAM_4665_zps7bbbc732.jpg

SAM_4668_zps35e8efd6.jpg

Next up: A Cottonwood Christmas

What a cool area? Neat! I've never seen this before.
That is cool looking. It was all over just in front of Pirates of the Caribbean. They have an Adventure Isle as well kind of behind the Swiss family tree house. We missed that though.

I also love the Christmas Characters in the beginning of the update. Very neat.
I thought the snow characters were really cute :)

And that snow - its looks so authentic!
Yes the snow on Main Street did look real... to some :goodvibes I think from far away it looked better than when you saw the people walking by with the dandruff look :rotfl2: Either way I got excited when I saw it :goodvibes
