Two Random Questions

Soo I have my phone interview tomorrow :scared: But I have two questions for right now..
1. Ive been hearing people who are pended have to wait until possibly April 19th to hear back from Disney. I'm concerned because if I get pended my deadline to withdraw from housing for my school is Friday March 29th. I'm not sure what to do and if anyone could help that would be great.

2. Is it bad to not have a car? I'm not sure if I will be able to bring a car down, so would it put me at a disadvantage or do people survive without them?

Thanks,
Jakiee :)

I would definitely discuss your first concern with your housing department and the recruiter.

As for a car, they do require you have your own transportation because the busses do not run to or from intern housing.

That is only for the PIs. For CPs there are buses that will take you to your work location and everywhere you need to go during the program. Honestly though, I'd bring a car. It allows you so much freedom! You can go anywhere you want when you want no waiting for buses fighting for seats or memorizing bus schedules. Buses can take forever to get to its location where a car can get pretty much anywhere on property in 10-15 minutes. That is really nice when you're fighting with other CPs to get on the A bus at night from the Magic Kingdom. You can make trips to the beach or to Lakeland for the drive-in movie theater, or just a simple run to Steak n shake after work. The one BIG drawback to having a car is you'd have to pump your own gas now and you have to factor putting gas into our tank into your budgeting.

The program is doable without a car though. Like I said it will take you to all the places you need to go. There are occasional trips to Universal, Asian markets, and other points of interest in the area. If you can't bring a car I highly suggest you become close friends with coworkers or roommates that DO bring one because it will make your life much easier.
