Hi Everyone! I've been lurking around the boards for quite some time and finally decided to create a PJ since I'm a little over a year out. DF and I have been Disney passholders for several years now and it only makes sense for us to have a Disney wedding. DF was actually more of the major Disney fan than I was, but I just grew to love it as he does.

Proposal: Feb. 19, 2011, This was during president's day weekend. (Yep, its been a long engagement). A few of our friends decided to become passholders and that this was the day to get it. DF said he had to work in the morning, but will meet us at Magic Kingdom. So my friends picked me up and we headed out. They still had to get their tickets at every single line was packed. I was :headache: by the time they finally got tickets, both the lines for the ferry and monorail were also packed! :snooty:

By this time I was grumpy, hungry and hot because it was pretty sunny out. I suggested we go to another park, since its a holiday weekend. I figure the other parks wouldn't be as bad as MK. DF finally called me to ask me where I was and said he was already at MK waiting. I was like  how'd you get there so fast, we were still waiting to get on to the ferry!

Anyway we finally got over to MK and I was completely grumpy of the amount of people that is everywhere! We went to Casey's Corner to lessen my mood by feeding my hungry stomach. Everyone wanted to take a picture in front of the castle and headed that way. We all took a big group photo, and then DF said he just wanted to take one with us two. Thought nothing of it and said OK. Next thing I knew he popped out a ring.

I was completely shocked, I couldn't understand a word he was saying. I stared at our friends and was like "What is going on?!" and started to cry. They were yelling at him to get on his knees and I'm still shocked at this point and still couldn't understand what he was saying and I just started to nod my head.

Everyone had a hand in orchestrated this whole event and was there to capture the moment. Turns out DF didn't have to work in the morning, he went to pack clothes for me because he got a night at the Beach Club to stay in. Another surprise. We ended the night eating at Flying Fish Cafe with everyone. They definitely got me good.

Theme:
I'm wanting to do a fairytale type theme (totally cliche right? lol) Still debating on colors but I would like a tiffany blue or similar with either coral or a light pink champagne and gold. This is the inspiration pic where I fell in love with the colors:

Dress

I haven't bought my dress yet, but I've tried on a few at Alfred Angelo and I really liked Disney's Belle 217 dress. I absolutely compare everything to that dress when I search for others online. I really like the impact it makes and how beautiful it will look in pics.

I'm going to go again for dress shopping in the coming months but ultimately I think I will get this dress but with the lace backing if I don't find something else. DF mention he really likes to see me in a ball gown as well.

Venues:
We are on hold for the Yacht Club Gazebo for ceremony, Epcot's Living Seas Salon for Pre-Reception/Reception and Epcot's Eau de France (Lower) for dessert party (I may rethink of doing the Upper location). All on Saturday, Feb. 8th 2014.

We are still waiting to receive our Letter of Agreement to secure it, so I'm a bit anxious!

Here's the Yacht Club Gazebo from our e-pic shoot by Misty Miotto:

Photography & Videography:
Our ceremony pictures will be done by Misty Miotto. She has taken our e-pics, which I absolutely love.

For our reception and dessert party, we will go with Disney since that's our only option for in-park events. I'm hoping to get Cassie Peech if she is still around.

Videography, I'm thinking of The Bokeh Studio. I know someone who is able to get me a good deal, or at least I think its a good deal for 5 hours. Hopefully they will still have the date available when I finalized the LOA. I would only use them for everything up to the ceremony. We're planning to do a first look as well.

Hair & Makeup:
I used Amy Raith for my hair and makeup for my e-pics. I'm still debating if I still want to use her for my wedding day as well or go with Beaute Speciale if my date is still available.

Honeymoon:
We are wanting to checkout Aulani in Hawaii! Hopefully we can make that happen.

Yay!! Good luck with planning! We have very similar colors for the Wedding :) I never thought of adding pink.. But it looks so cute on the inspirations pics

Welcome! I love that you're using the Yacht club! I haven't seen many weddings there. Love your inspiration colors. Can't wait to see more plans :)

First of all, congratulations!:cool1:

The family and I just spent the holidays at the Yacht and Beach Club and I love your choice of the gazebo. It'll be absolutely beautiful.

And I LOVE all of your inspiration ideas , the color scheme, EVERYTHING!

Thanks everyone! I really wanted to do the ceremony at SBP, but my guest count is probably over 80, but still under a 100. Since it would be over the limit, we decided to move it across the lagoon to the Gazebo, which is still a great choice.

I'm hoping to start designing my Save the Date's soon. I've been lazy and DF has been bugging me like crazy to start since we got our e-pics in.

I really liked the tabbed booklet that I have seen on Tricia's PJ (tric8783).

MIN-W47-SMB-001_A_PD.jpg

It can be ordered on minted.com, but I figured out how to DIY-it. Instead of it being 5x7, I'll make it as a 4x6.

I purchased this Crop-A-Dile puncher at JoAnn's (with coupon of course!) to create the holes and set the grommets to bind the booklet.

I just need to figure out what to layout on the pages and what content to throw in. I also wanted to include a small magnet (probably a 2x3 and also a DIY) to put on the last page held by a glue dot or adhesive photo corners of some sort.

I'm afraid people may lose the booklet, but at least they will have the magnet to stick on to something.

I probably will have the items print and cut at office max or office depot. Their prices were a lot cheaper than Staples or FedEx Office when I was calling for estimates. I haven't tried local printers, but I'm not sure if they would be any cheaper. I would go online and do vistaprint, but these pages are going to be printed as double-sided and I'm afraid they will not line up correctly.

I'll post up pics when I get the ball rolling.

Okay, turns out I'm still lazy on creating Save the Dates, so this past weekend we purchased suits for the groomsmen and my wedding dress! :cool1:

I can't post the dress, I'm afraid of DF snooping around trying to see which one I purchased or how I look in it, but I'm finally glad to have taking the dress off the to-do list!

The suits we got for the groomsmen were from Macy's. Its Alfani Red - Sharkskin Grey Slim Fit Suit. They had a one-day online sale over the weekend and we figure its a great time now to purchase at a good price.

It ran about $170 for the jacket and pants, and $215 total with a vest included. I think its a bit cheaper than renting since I believe light grey tuxes are a bit pricey to rent when I was searching around and this way with the suits the guys can keep it after the wedding! We're giving it as part of their wedding gift.

DF will wear the vest with a bow tie, while the groomsmen will wear just the jacket and a tie. I'm think it will be with the Tiffany Blue or similar that they will wear. Now I just need to find a nice crisp white shirts and hopefully all the men has nice shoes to wear with it.

Congratulations! I am loving your PJ so far! You two are such a cute couple! :goodvibes I love your colours and theme, very romantic, they'll go so well with your venue choices! And your save the date idea is really cool, I don't think I've ever seen one like that before. Just wondering, are you going to post a photo of your ring? ;)

Looking forward to reading more!

Duh! I totally forgot a ring pic. This was taken from the day when he proposed. I just realized I didn't really take much of the ring :guilty:

Congratulations! I love that you were totally surprised by his proposal, and your ring is gorgeous!

I really liked the men's suits and I that it's very cool that you are gifting the groomsmen with their suits so they don't have to spend the money to rent or buy them.

I love the colors in your inspiration picture and can't wait to hear how everything turns out!

Can't wait to read more as your planning progresses!

Gorgeous ring! :goodvibes

Thank you!
Gorgeous ring! I love the colors you have chosen, it's so soft and romantic :)

So sweet, thanks!

Congrats. Pretty ring. Can't wait to read more about your plans.

Thanks for joining in!

So.. still procrastinating on the Save the Dates, but I did work on a wedding logo to use for our print items. Below are the pics of what I was working with up to the final one I chose. It definitely was challenging and I tried to fit in some hidden mickey's where I could that didn't seem too cheesy.

I originally thought I liked this, I made it my own from an inspiration logo I saw before. When I was done with it.. totally didn't want to bother touching it because it just didn't do it for me.

Next, I figure I try out a basic look. This style you probably see a lot.

I started to like this one, with the fonts and border, but still felt it wasn't right just yet.

Then finally, I believe I created the right one that I liked with adjustments.

I also got into DIY-ing beaded jewelry that I'm trying to make for all my bridesmaids to wear day of. I've seen these on etsy that I really liked, but out of my budget to splurge on. This is from LRoseDesigns shop.

I watched some YouTube tutorials on how to wire, and bought all the materials from Michael's. I also bought metal stamped charms initials from an etsy store as well because materials to purchase to make it myself is a bit much, unless I was willing to do metal stamping for the long term. I'm using a turquoise teardrop swarovski crystal pendant instead of what you see in the picture. I'll post my final product when I'm done.

That's all I got for now, hopefully I'll have the Save the Date in the works next time! :snooty:
