Package prices for 2014 should come in late July or early August.

You can book a room-only reservation up to 500 days in advance. You will need to place 1 night's (current) rack rate down as a deposit. Once the 2014 rates come out, you may need to send more if the price is higher than this year's rates. You will not be able to do it online but a TA can do it for you or you can call Disney yourself.

Generally, 499 days from the day you want to book a room only reservation. That means if you plan to stay for a week, you'll need to make sure your last night is within the 499 day window. Some resorts and/or room categories are held by Disney until closer to the actual date however. Thank you for your responses. Very helpful. Looking forward to this trip as bringing the 2 grandsons and all of the family (hopefully)....and I havent been since February 2008....
