Our First Family Trip To The World... October 2013 PTR

Oh, phew!!!!

Because you said "these are the ones I've decided on" I thought you meant you were going to them all!!

Ahhh, I should have written, "these are the places we have decided would be nice to eat at". LOL. We decided sadly that V&As was not on the list this trip...Ha ha ha.

Great news on the flights!! Thats some foody list, nows the hard bit it narrowing it down. We normally do one ADR a day as it fits in with the DDP but if I eat more I would lol!! I think this trip we've got a few days we're doing a TS breakfast and dinner.

I know, it's hard to narrow down and this timeit is all about the boys... So no Le Cellier for us in reality! LOL My boys eat better at breakfast than any other time of the day and so we figure TS buffet breakfasts, then CS lunch and maybe TS dinner if there are special ones we want them to experience.

The table service restaurants that we did on our honeymoon are:

San Angel Inn
Le Cellier
V&A
Cinderella's Royal Table
1900 Park Fare
Grand Floridian Cafe
Ohana
Kona Cafe
Sci Fi Diner
Coral Reef
Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Garden Grill
Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom
Boma
Jiko
Cape May Cafe
Chef Mickey's Buffet
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Fulton's Crab House
Liberty Tree Tavern
California Grill
Artist Point
House of Blues

I think that's it. We liked them all I think, except the meat at San Angel was a little tough.

Tell me about it! I change my mind about three times in which to book. That sounds like a good plan and there's lots of character buffets breakfast that I'm sure your boys will enjoy.

Just joining in, having spotted your thread I'm now right in the middle of reading your wedding TR and have to tell you it looks wonderful.
I'm somewhat envious that a) you were a Disney bride and b) you're going to Disney for nearly a month! The thought of making 24+ ADRs makes me giddy :lmao:

If it helps, we've been a few times with our DDs (most years in Aug/Sept since eldest DD turned 1) and it worked well to plan some early breakfast buffets in the first couple of days whilst everyone's body clocks were still adjusting and we were (all of us!) up and ready to go early!! The empty park pictures are always a bonus too :thumbsup2

And now I've read through to the end and sorry to see there were some bumps in the road for you

Will take a read of your blog soon too, but just a quick look at your description of yourself and I think we might have a bit in common :)

Hi Claire! Thank you for reading :) I do love an ADR.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm glad the breakfast buffets worked for you, I was thinking that they would be the best chanceI have of getting the boys to sit down to eat for the day! Have you written any TRs? I love reading them :)

One day I'll finish my wedding TR, I really will! I hope I hear from you again :)

My boys turned one on Valentine's and three the day after!

Gav and I were sick with tonsilitis and sinusitis but we had fun....and managed to get our Photopass CD ordered and count out enough nickels and cents for the boys to make 15 pressed pennies each in Disney!

So I knew that putting in extra hours when Ofsted were inspecting was a good move! My headteacher (I teach two half days and blog the rest of the time whilst I'm a SAHM) has allowed me my time off in November! The holiday is on!

Yay that's great news! Urgh ofsted, know how stressed my other half got when they came to his college :( sounds like its made all the hard work worth while now though :) look forward to hearing more about your plans!

Hey! Nice to meet you! What sheet are you filling in? It sounds rather exciting!

Just noticed this!!

I have a spreadsheet that has all my travel dates, park info (opening times/parades etc). I have it broken into 3 different front pages, 1 for "quick view" park opening times and EMH, 1 for the general plan for my holiday and another for any reservation numbers/car hire telephone numbers/hotel telephone numbers etc.

Then I have individual tabs for each day I'm there where I fill everything in for what I hope to achieve that day etc.

This is the first year I've done the DDP so I will be adding in the ADR numbers/locations etc in there too.

Happy to send you a copy of my sheet if you pass me your email address, although you sound really organised so I bet you have one too!! :cool1:

Really enjoyed reading your pre trippie, we are there in October from the 13th to the 3rd Nov, we will be doing MNSSHP as our Dd Will be turning 8 while we are away and this is what she has chosen for her "party" do any of you know when the tickets and dates etc are released? It doesn't seem that long away really but still nothing has come out?

I'm pretty sure that the tickets go on sale in May x

Welcome back - your photos are beautiful and your dogs look amazing! How exciting to be returning with your family - we too will be returning (not till 2015 - saving the pennies) as a family. Our last trip was for our 1st wedding anniversary in 2006 which set the broodiness in wanting to return next time with a little one to experience the magic with us. Happy planning :goodvibes

Anyone who volunteers to put in extra hours for Ofsted deserves time off in my opinion! I've gone through Ofsted more than once too and I don't think it ever gets any easier! I personally didn't mind having inspectors observing my lessons but I hated the amount of extra work and time that goes into trying to show the Ofsted team what you and your school are capable of :scared:

BTW - cute birthday pics :)

Oh, that sounds amazing. I loooooove things like that. I'm chasing my tail all of the time lately, I'd love to see your sheet!

I hear it was May? I'm so excited, that's ADR time for us! How lovely to be able to celebrate your DD's birthday! I can't wait to hear all about it ~ maybe we'll see you there!!

Aw, thank you! It will soon come around, and you'll be having your first family trip like us! I'm super broody all of the time ;)

Thanks! I got even cuter photos (I havethem on my blog) and it was so much fun (although sad for me as they are growing so fast). Ofsted is such a pain ~ we got oustanding thankfully so hopefully they'll stay away a while!
