The extent or strength of the Son of Sam law varies from state to state since the original law in New York was overturned in the Supreme Court some years ago, but the main point with Jodi Arias is she hasn't been found guilty yet. I know earlier this year her art was being sold on ebay by her family (now there are other family connected sellers) for her benefit and I don't mean to pay attorneys' fees either.

And yeah, John Wayne Gacy used to sell his self portraits (in clown make-up), too damn creepy knowing he had a special clown costume he would wear when he killed those boys.

On another note, thanks for the birthday wishes, my wife's making a new mussels recipe tonight, the one from Flying Fish!!

Sometimes I think I know way too much about serial killers. Anyone read "The Stranger Beside Me" by Ann Rule? Now that's a creepy book.

They are not allowed to profit from their crime, so no tell all book from her if she is found guilty. Selling something that has nothing to do with their crime is allowed though.

I love Ann Rule and and am reading one of her books right now.

Can't wait till cross. I just wish that I could watch more then an hour or so of the trial everyday. I hate the fact that it starts so late in the day, since I'm in the east and then they break for a super long lunch. I leave work during their lunch time and there is no way I can watch that when I get home and get my 7 year old off the bus. I don't feel like explaining some of the stuff that is being said up there on that stand!

Oh, you sure lucked out with your trip being on this weekend. Have fun, hopefully we'll get to the cross this next week.

I unfortunately have dental appts next Tues at 2:00 CST (my brother's is at 3:00 and I have to wait for him to take him home). I'm gonna tell that hygienist to hurry with mine so I won't miss much.
Maybe the judge will be late coming back from lunch or they'll have some in chamber's hearing.

All right friends, need some help. The hotel has millions of channels but I'm not finding Tru tv (court tv). What is the sister station? MSNBC?? They may not offer the channels which would be terrible. Also trying to figure out the time zone difference.

I am in Vegas and go home Wednesday. I was ready to go home the day I got here and can't wait for Wednesday. It's a fun place but I don't gamble, drink, party or anything else they do here. I may go see cirque O (the water one) tomorrow if I can get a ticket. We went to the Hoover dam today and that was neat. It's pretty and the weather is great (for now), but I miss the cold and snow...yeah I'm crazy.

I checked the tv, no HLN...guess I'm out of luck unless I pull up a live stream. Guess it depends on if they get anywhere. If not, there is a channel called Bio that is fantastic and I will miss it terribly when I leave.

I don't think you are crazy at all. We are in winter break here. I told the kids I would take them to the skating rink. I am freaking out that I am gonna miss some good stuff. I am planning on taking headphones and listening to the streaming audio.
