Busy weekend with wrestling, painting, etc. Will be back later with responses. But I had to tell you guys we got all of our ADR's for our August trip.

Looks like y'all had fun @ MVMCP!

I love the parade pics! It looks really cute. I am pretty sure we missed the parade when we went to the party a few years ago.

And no, you can NEVER skip IASW!!

The breakfast looks pretty good at WPE. Don't know if I'd make a special trip for it but it does look yummy.

I love WPE, but haven't eaten breakfast there. Interesting menu though!

Sweet of Des to pay, even if she was being stubborn! :rotfl:

I liked my dinner at WPE too; I've yet to get Mark there for dinner. She can be a very feisty redhead.

Your update and all your pics from MVMCP make me want to return again for the holidays. Only, I think they way you did it was smart... beginning of December rather than the week before Christmas.

I would never go the week before Christmas...too crowded.

I think one of the moments I hate most when in WDW...maybe even more than the ride on DME, is the one where the trip comes to a screeching halt for a split second that moment you open the door and see that note for DME.

I hear what you are saying Ann.

I have always wanted to try WGPE for breakfast. That cornflake french toast is very tempting...

Des offered me a taste...but I had no desire. :rotfl:

Kathy, I was so sad to hear about the IOC decision as well. Pete wrestled in High School. It may not do any good, but at least you are all trying!

I am keeping fingers, toes, arms, legs, everything I possibly can, crossed that they change their mind.

LOVED the invitations (yes, I am that far behind in responding). As for MVMCP, I would LOVE to go, it HAS to be better than our experience on Lisa's wish trip to MNSSHP! The pics are wonderful, as always and I loved the looks of your breakfast, even if it wasn't as tasty as you would have liked.

I'm glad you like the invites; I've got to get to writing out those envelopes. :faint: We really loved the MVMCP...it was the best time. Breakfast was just okay...I've had better waffles at the Waffle House.

Before I leave, I just wanted to say

to one classy lady! I hope you receive all of the special expressions of love you deserve each and every day!

Thanks for the Valentine wishes; I hope you had a good one. I never got around to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day...work has been brutal since the first of the year .

Ok, I am adding breakfast at WGP!! That breakfast pizza looks AMAZING!!!! I must try!!! Its so sad when the last day arrives. I must admit, I think its kinda funny how you all trickled in and now are all trickling out... First, Nicki and Todd and now you. :lmao: Maybe that is the way to do it so that its not so much shock. Although, it would be a MUST for me to be in the last group to leave. :rotfl:

Andy sure loved his pizza breakfast. :)

You bring up a really good point, Tam. We did all kind of trickle in and then trickle out. And next time I'll be sure I'm last to leave.

:sad1:

Yeah I was sad too.

Interesting idea. I don't think I'd ever seen a TR where someone ate breakfast there. I actually didn't even realize they served breakfast.

Actually I know one or two people who go every trip...I don't see the big deal about it.

Well, I think that was very nice of her. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

It was nice...but unnecessary.

In a park? :confused3

Maybe, maybe not. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Last day

I hate that day when that awful thing comes.

The waffle looks yummy..I am pretty partial to chocolate chips :p

I will say one thing...it was huge (and I'm pretty partial to chocolate chips myself)

Happy Valentine's Day Kathy

Thank you; hope you had a good Valentine's Day with your lovely family.

Happy Valentines day!!!

Thanks, friend. I hope you had a great one.

That waffle looked HUGE!!!
So sad to see that envelope hanging on the door in the morning!
Can't imagine where you were heading, hmmmmm! I'm guessing MK!

It was a very large waffle...I don't think Mark finished it. I hate that envelope...whether it's ME or our final bill. ;) MK would be a good guess...but that's not where we were going.

First of all, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! :flower3:

Thanks, Lisa. I hope you had a nice Valentine's Day.

Wow! Mark's waffle was huge! Or the plate was really little, one of the two. ;) I never even thought about Wolfgang Puck for breakfast. But, then again, we aren't big breakfast eaters and usually only eat breakfast one or two times during our entire trip.

Nope...the waffle was huge. We love our breakfasts; but in truth I only eat them on vacation and the rare Sunday we go out.

Hum, headed to SSR to catch a bus. Wonder where you're going?

Well we know it's not the MK as I already stated that above.;)

I would be so torn between the cornflake french toast and the chocolate chip waffle!

If those were my only two choices, it would have been the waffle for me.

Thanks, Christine. Hope you had a sweet day with your granddaughter.

I am finally caught up. I don't even want to mention how many pages behind I was. :scratchin

Probably as many as I'm behind on yours? :crazy2:

Your party pictures are great. You really got some good ones of the castle. I wish we would've sat at the hub to watch the parade. next time for sure! Did you all enjoy the party then? It looks like you did at least.

Thanks; between Des and I, we got some good shots. We loved the party and will do it again.

I have not yet been to WPE, but hope to give it a try someday.

I'm glad we tried it once.

I don't HATE golf, but if they are worried about viewership when they are making these decisions, Amateur wrestling is a whole lot more exciting and easier to watch! :thumbsup2

I totally agree; I can't watch golf (even though Andy plays it five times a week)

Trampoline?? Really??? :( I really don't like watching any of the Olympic sports where the scoring is up to the whims of a group of judges! I usually end up PO'ed at the obvious bias to determine who "wins." Wrestling match - you pretty much are certain who won it!!! ::yes::

Mark feels the same way...especially about ice skating and gymnastics.

And I totally agree on the Amateur vs. Pro comment! I understand why since the US amateurs used to compete against "Professionals" from other countries, but I still think it is a stupid idea! The Lake Placid USA Hockey miracle over Russia would not have nearly the meaning under today's use of Professional players! I rarely watch that joke of a sport called NBA basketball (between the overpaid crybabies and the fact they have no basic basketball rules that are followed). I definitely see no benefit to the Olympics having a "Nightmare Team" beating some other country's national team by 60+ points. :rolleyes2

When did they take the "amateur" out of it

Maybe it's just me, but that menu just doesn't draw me in............ :scratchin

I was not overwhelmed with it.

Still, it was awfully sweet! Stubborn redhead....... :rotfl2:

Yes, it was very sweet of her. She's in for her own surprise tonight. Her cousin is picking her up from the airport...or so she thinks. Some tall, good looking guy is going to get her instead.

Yes, those are quite :cool1:

I would like those chairs for my patio.

When it comes to breakfast foods, I stick with the traditional. Give me a Cracker Barrel or an IHOP! That breakfast pizza looks simply :crazy2:

Cracker Barrel gets a BIG yuck from me. Not a fan at all. IHOP is okay.

Interesting, but probably not enough for me to order it. I think the plain Belgian Waffle would have been my choice! :)

I would go for just the plain cornflakes next time. :)

Loving those shirts! :lovestruc

Thanks; we got those when we were there last April for Mark's business trip.

I'm going to guess DHS! Mark needs some more RnR, and I know Kathy can't leave Disney without at least one more ride on ToT!!!

DING DING DING!!! We have a winner.

so sorry about the Olympics decision on wrestling....wonderful you are all doing your part to save it!

This is something very close to my heart and I will support it to the best of my ability.

breakfast at WGP looks good, but I wouldn't of made a special trip over for it either! was very sweet of Des to treat you all though!

Nope...it will be the last special trip we make for breakfast.

hmm....me thinks you headed over to MK!!!

Nope it wasn't MK...as you can see above in my response to Marv it was DHS.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Love the update. I don't think breakfast where you ate would appeal to my family. They'd only eat the chocolate chips and whip cream. I could eat the breakfast pizza though. Glad the kids enjoyed theirs.

Thanks, Tink; hope you had a good Valentine's.

I'd eat the chocolate chips, but not the whip cream.

Well, that is no fun. :(

No, it certainly was not.

Breakfast looks good. I think I might have chosen the chocolate chip waffle.

Mark enjoyed it...but said it was very filling.

It was hard for me to open this post, because I know we are nearing the end. I swear sometimes in some of the TR's (especially with favorite DIS'ers) I have that sinking sad feeling as if it was me! :lmao:

Lisa, you are just the sweetest person. Thank you. We still have a whole day to go and then I get to start my PTR.

We've never had breakfast at WPE. I have to admit the pizza looked yummy.

I didn't think so, but Andy sure devoured it.

Read you soon :surfweb:

Thanks. . :)

Kathy, when I look at those pictures of breakfast I see something more than just very good looking food... Being that I'm now a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and have maintained my weight for several months, I see all my daily food points used up before the sun even rises with those plates. :rotfl2:

Oh, Bob. Shall I stop posting food pictures (I've got three more meals to go)? Seriously, I am very proud of you as you know.

Hi Kathy! Loved your Epcot day - lots of fun pics! We love Cape May for dinner, but haven't tried it for breakfast. We're going to try Chef Mickey's next time!

See, we weren't overly pleased with our dinner in September either. But I am willing to give it another try sometime. Let me know what you think of Chef Mickey's; we've not had breakfast in over 15 years (and dinner in 9...but dinner we won't be back for that meal).

Looks like a great night at MVMCP. I love how the rides are so accessable. We pretty much skipped the parade and rode Splash by ourselves when we went! :rotfl2:

I loved how easy the rides were to get on; we might even skip parade next time and do more rides.

ITA about the wrestling. That would be like getting rid of the relay or something.:worried:

So very, very strange. Wrestling and track and field are the Olympics.

Just remember: fabric softener goes in the machine, not on the keyboard.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: funny Mark.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I hate that envelope....even if Mickey is on it.

So she fits right in with you guys! :rolleyes1:rotfl:

Actually she does.

I'm with Marv--can't say that looks too appealing. :crazy2:

I didn't think so either.

So, stick with Kona for breakfast...sounds like a plan to me!

ABSOLUTELY!

Hi Kat, I love you! Sorry I am MIA, but I just saw your last delicious looking post! I didn't realize that you were leaving before the kids! Love all the pics!

Hi, Jenn. Don't you dare apologize. You had a wedding and honeymoon to attend to. But I'm glad you stopped back in.

I LOVE the parade Pictures with the castle in the background!!! I have never been to DTD during the day...:confused3

We enjoy it during the day because it is so much easier to shop...not nearly the amount of people. We usually take a day off from the parks and do DTD.

I loved the letter your son wrote for wrestling.. I hope it all works out.

Thank you; I was very proud of him.

Mmmmmm.. Belgian waffles, one of my favorite breakfast foods. I will have to put WPE on my list for future visits.

If you like Belgian Waffles, I don't think you'll find a bigger one. :)

Hey Kat...

It can't be your last Disney day! :scared1:

I'm afraid so. :(

Mark's waffle looks good! (but I think I'd take a Mickey waffle over it :) )

I'd rather have a Mickey waffle too (and I'd like one right now)

Cute pictures next to the Christmas decorations. :goodvibes

Thank you.

I think you are heading back to MK. :cool2:

Nope...not the MK (see response to Marv above).

I think it's really sweet that Des bought breakfast. I've never wanted to make the trip all the way to DTD just for breakfast, but it sounds like a nice option if we ever do an all DTD day!

She is a sweet girl; I don't mind going to DTD for an early dinner and shopping, but not breakfast.

Oh that breakfast looks yummy

I tried the cornflake French toast a couple of trips ago and loved it :)

Maybe I should have tried it. :confused3

Keeping up !!! Off to a dance at the local University for the guys !!!

Hope you had a good tie at the dance.

Your breakfast looks so yummy - Well, the breakfast pizza does. I keep seeing pictures of that and I really want to try it someday. It actually perfects for lunch as well. I like a multipurpose entree! :thumbsup2

See....that pizza just kind of grossed me out. But then I've never understood how people eat leftover pizza for breakfast.

Cute pics of the four of you!

Thanks. :goodvibes

I have heard lots of good things about WGP for all meals. Will try to get it in there on the next trip. That pizza looked good!

I guess I'm the odd one out as I really didn't think that pizza looked appetizing at all.:confused:

Sorry I'll finish responses tomorrow. I have to be up at 4:30 in the morning for a 7:30 a.m. six-year mammogram.

To center you for a wonderful day!

I know you had a very busy weekend. I hope things are less brutal at work and you have time to just breathe! Praying for your mammogram results!!!

Oh... My heart literally dropped when I saw the Magic Express packet... we all know what that means...:(

So sad...isn't it? :(

I really like WPE for dinner and was always curious about breakfast... I agree that I might not make a trip there for breakfast just because I wouldn't want to take away from prime time park hours...;)

I'm glad we did it once, but we will stick with dinner from now on.

I am so sorry about the the Olympic Wrestling news...:sad2: it makes absolutely no sense considering that wrestling along with some of the track and field events were really the begins of the Olympic games...:confused3 What if any is their rationale for this? I know they stopped Baseball & Softball because they felt their weren't enough competing countries... which I can accept even if I don't like or agree with it :headache: but Seriously wrestling? It is the Olympics... well you know what I mean...

It doesn't make any money? I have no clue. It also doesn't cost them any money because they already have the arena for other events. Wrestling has participation in more countries than many of the other games they kept. We shall see what happens.

Hopefully they will change their minds...

I hope so. We watched high school wrestling all weekend and we truly miss our son wrestling. It was fun to go and watch the kids.

I can almost hear the ohhs and ahhhs of the MVMCP photos of the fireworks. What a great way to celebrate the season. I was curious how the Wishes Holiday fireworks show at WDW compares to D-land so I looked it up on YouTube and I have to say - what a great job Disney does - for both parks!

One of these days I will get to D-land.

I wouldn't mind trying the cornflake french toast at WPE but I have to be honest and say that the breakfast pizza just isn't my style. Ranch dressing on eggs... I'll pass. ;)

I'm not an "egg" person unless it is an omelete, but I can't imagine ranch dressing on pizza, eggs.

Disney should soften the blow of leaving WDW with those DME hanging tags on the doors. Maybe they should include a special booking code with them so that if you book another trip within 14 days you get a welcome back discount. That or give me some chocolate or something to make me feel better about going home! :rotfl2: Ok, wayyyy too much thought on that one.

Now that is a splendid idea. I think you should work for Disney marketing. :goodvibes

Not sure about the taste, but the pictures of your breakfast at WPE look yummy! That was sweet of Des to treat all of you!

It really was very sweet of her; it made her happy.

Last day.....Hmmmm. I want to say MK, but since you were just there for the party, I think it may be Epcot?

Nope as posted above in response to Marvali, it was neither. It was the Studios.

We LOVE WPE!! Oh my that waffle looks so good>:thumbsup2 Much better than my Eggo waffles in the freezer.;)

I love WPE for dinner...not so much for breakfast. I've never bought Eggo waffles. But I don't eat breakfast at home...well, I eat my Fiber One bar every day.

Yay for all your adrs :cool1::banana::cool1: and fot the double post!!!:rotfl2:

Thanks, Rosie. I'm so happy I got every single one of them and all at the times I wanted.

Looks like y'all had fun @ MVMCP!

We had a blast and I can't wait to go again this year.

I love the parade pics! It looks really cute. I am pretty sure we missed the parade when we went to the party a few years ago.

If you do the party this year, you must do the parade...Reid will love it.

And no, you can NEVER skip IASW!!

Oh I could if my husband didn't whine! :rotfl::rotfl:COLOR]

The breakfast looks pretty good at WPE. Don't know if I'd make a special trip for it but it does look yummy.

It isn't worth the trip in my opinion.

Yay for getting your ADRs set for August!!!

Thank you...very happy. We don't have a single new restaurant for August, but we are going back to one that we've not been to since 2008.

I wish you all the best of luck. Sleep well.

Thank you very much for the luck....it worked. :)

To center you for a wonderful day!

I know you had a very busy weekend. I hope things are less brutal at work and you have time to just breathe! Praying for your mammogram results!!!

Thank you, Judy. My mammogram was perfectly clear. Six years cancer free. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Sorry for the lack of responses/updates. We painted Andy's bathroom this weekend, went and watched wrestling for the high school, did some shopping, cleaned the house for the appraiser who was coming this morning), spent 45 minutes on the phone making our ADR's for our August trip), etc. And then I was up at 4:30 this morning to catch the 6:15 train for my 7:45 mammogram; now I'm stuck at the office until 5:20 (I normally leave at 4:30) because Mark has a trade show and I have to wait for him to get done). And the mammogram was clean as a whistle--six years cancer free.

So on with the TR:

I left you with us walking to the Saratoga Springs to take a bus to our destination. We were headed here:

Christmas decorations:

The first thing we did was get Fastpasses for Toy Story Mania. Being that we got here a heck of a lot later than I'm used to, our passes were not good until the evening. But it turned out okay in the long run as you will see later.

While Mark and Des headed to Rock & Roll Roller Coaster, Andy and I were headed here:

A very poor redneck photo of Andy's and my ride:

December102012Day5046_zpse293d3ab.jpg

After we met up again with Mark and Des, we decided to head to see the Walt Disney Story while we planned out our day some more.

Des' photos:

After we finished with Walt's story, we decided to go see if we could get into the Animation Studio for a class. While everyone walked over there to check on it, I had a DIS meet outside of the Great Movie Ride. I had the good fortune of meeting Michelle (SoonerGirl) here on the DIS. And I know if there is no picture that it didn't happen. There was a picture. But it was so awful that I deleted it from my phone. Michelle, I don't know if you are still reading, but it was a delight meeting you and having a chat with you. Thank you for your patience in working out the logistics. ;)

I then walked over to find the family and they were in line waiting for the next class. While we waited I snapped this:

Soon they were letting in our class.

And this is who we drew. And for the life of me I cannot remember her name and I don't know whose picture is whose:

Up next....we have time for one more attraction before our lunch. Where shall we go?

such wonderful news about your mammogram kathy :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

great you got all your ADR's booked!

hmm, I can't figure out who you all drew either...maybe someone from Hercules or the Hunchback :confused3:confused3

we love going to Animators and looking at all the artwork afterwards, we've been getting the pencil drawings out last couple of trips, much easier on the pocketbook!

First so glad the mammo was good !!!! I can't think who that character is either , the 3 pix looked great who didn't do one or am I miscounting:confused3Unless Marv auctioned it off to finance future trips to Disney!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

YAY for being cancer free !!! Wooo Hoooo :yay:

That character you drew is Vanellope from Wreck it Ralph. My DD loves that movie. Can't wait for it to come out on video !!!
