Thank goodness!!! Glad all is well with her.

I like that I can make my own flour and grains in it, as well as smoothies so I can get some nutritious stuff into DS. He has the absolute worst diet and refuses to eat anything good for him. He would seriously starve himself rather than eat healthy food.

Check HSN for the no!no! They always have specials on it, but I have read terrible reviews of it. I was intrigued by it since I am an avid home shopper. :rotfl: But after reading reviews I decided not to buy it. HSN has a $20 coupon right not also. If you PM me you email I will forward it to you

I'll have to do some more research into it.

ugh!! I'm so annoyed right now!! My inlaws went to the lake house again yesterday morning. They act like they never get away, but they are always going to the lake house for the weekend. Anyway, anytime they are coming home, they call and tell us they will be home in a few minutes and to come help unload the car. This time, they had stopped by the store and had a few extra bags from that. Well when they came in (and I'm pretty sure they waited for us to come out of the garage before they got out of the car) they only grabbed what was in the front of the car with them. We carried everything in and I even put up the groceries. I should be doing school work, and not unloading their crap from another weekend getaway. My mil just sat in her chair in the office, and I have no idea where the fil was. I'm just getting so sick of this. Every time they go anywhere, they expect us to bring in their luggage and other junk. When we went to WDW this last June, we didn't expect them to help unload the MV when we got home. I'm really starting to think they want us here, not because they need me due to medical stuff, but they want the free slave labor. grrrr....back to school work. I have 1/2 page out of 6.

Of course this one isn't the model I want, it was the tsv in December but I couldn't afford it before the holidays. QVC still has a "deal" on the one I want but it is waitlisted in every color and the only bonus is two smoothie bottles so I think I will just buy it direct from the company and not pay shipping or tax. It's definitely a bigger discount that way.

It was too funny, I had just read that post and turned the channel from the bball game and there it was...I don't know one vitamix from the other!!

I just wanted to say that we are only 60 DAYS away from our 1st YC CL stay!!!!!!!

My BFF is excited to on line check in tomorrow. She's too cute!!! :goodvibes

SWEET!!! I had so much fun doing the online check in for our June trip. I can't do our online check in until 7/11/13. Our ADR day is 3/11, which the boys will be on Sprig Break for. At first I was upset, because it has me getting up early on a day, when I don't have to. Now I realize it's even better, because I can just go back to sleep and not have to worry about getting the boys to school after I make our ADRs.

Two weeks until ADR's! Do you have a nice list??:surfweb:

Thank you, you saved me some money. After reading reviews it looks like the no!no! is a no-go.

Oh do I. I have a spreadsheet for 3 to 5 night trips with both basic and Dlx DDPs. This way if we have to change the number of nights, or DDP level, I already have a plan. The ADRs I plan on making are Mama Melrose's, Be Our Guest, 'Ohama, Teppan Edo, and Cape May Cafe.

Good Morning all!!

A day off, and Jesse wakes me up at 6:30am....really?! Of course he did it with a hug and a sweet smile. Then I realize it's 28 degrees outside....kinda cold for us Southerners. Wishing I were here, basking in the sun....

DSC_6922.jpg

At least the other two kiddos are still sleeping :teeth: Gives me some Dis time with no interruptions.

Jesse has informed us that he wants to go to SeaWorld for his birthday in April. The kids have never been....it's been YEARS since Bill and I have visited, so I'm starting from ground zero. Any suggestions would be appreciated;) Guess it will be a long weekend trip. Who knows?!

Back to reading and more coffee!:surfweb:

Good morning / afternoon, ladies. :goodvibes

Heather: Yet another gorgeous photo. You spoil us! :worship: Brrr... that is chilly for you guys. We got someone else's weather today too. It's 50 out now! Ca-RAY-zee. :crazy2:

Jen: My friend... you know what happened when I read that you were going for APs (for real this time :lmao: )? Of course, it got the ol' cogs turning. :rotfl2: :scratchin Could you smell that wood burning from all the way up there?

AP Folks, could I bend an ear for a moment? :wave2: (I need further ammunition when I present the case to the hubbo. He actually seemed fairly open to the idea yesterday. Keep in mind, I know next-to-nothing about APs so forgive me with this plethora of weird questions!)

Don't know how accurate it is, but I was checking out the historical discounts for general public vs. AP holders. They're all released at approximately the same time -- except for AP holders getting the discount a tad earlier? Also, with AP holders getting a 5% additional discount on rooms -- or thereabouts. Does this sound fairly spot-on? What are the black-out dates like? Are there tons of blackouts for AP resort discounts?

:teacher:
Could one of you AP gurus do me a mega-HUGE favor, if you don't mind? I was wondering if you could copy and paste the current AP room discount (for however far out it extends -- is it up to June already?) for POR and BC? (If I can show hubbo the AP discount vs. general public in actual real numbers that'll help my case immensely. :thumbsup2 ) Thank you a TON!

We sat down yesterday afternoon and discussed the pros and cons. This was brought about by talking about Jen getting APs( :rolleyes1 :thumbsup2 ) and by us renewing our zoo membership. Got to thinking about how spending a few hours in the park and leaving whenever we wanted would be a real option for us with APs -- and it wouldn't feel like we "wasted money" like exactly how we feel when we go to the zoo for a couple hours and then leave. It would completely change our Disney touring style, obviously -- as we currently do a leisurely "one park a day" thing with lots of resort time. Also, staying at the Epcot resorts (usually) would give us the opportunity of going into the World Showcase to grab food whenever we wanted. During our January trip, on both our Epcot day and our HS day, we left and came back later. APs would allow us to do this... but add the ability to switch it up and go to a different park. Anyway, if I can show my nerd-man the cold, hard facts... he might go for it. (He even liked the idea of driving down next summer! :scared: ) Sorry for the novel, just talking out loud here! :rotfl:

I'll grab my laptop as soon as I finish lunch and pull you the current rates :)

Lately the AP discounts have actually been coming out after the GP ones  For my Dec trip I actually booked it with the Disney Visa discount (which was the same as GP) because it was the first discount to come out, that was at 35%, when the AP rates finally came out I only got and extra 2%.

Here is what is on the AP website now:

Passholders, plan a springtime getaway at Walt Disney World Resort and make the most of your Annual Pass! Book early—by March 31, 2013—and enjoy lower rates at select Disney Resort hotels, valid for stays most nights April 2 through June 3, 2013.

For example, stay in a standard room at Disney's All-Star Music Resort starting at just $82 per night, plus tax for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights April 7 through May 30, 2013. Explore other great nightly rates, including weekends, available at select Disney Resort hotels.

BC Pool/Lagoon View (nothing lower available that last weekend of the offer)

Thu, May 30 - $ 323.70
Fri, May 31 - $ 316.55
Sat, Jun 01 - $ 316.55
Sun, Jun 02 - $ 316.55

Obviously the rate season changes over here, because the weeknight rate is higher than the weekend.

POR Pool View (again that is the lowest available on those dates)

Thu, May 30 - $ 150.50
Fri, May 31 - $ 154.70
Sat, Jun 01 - $ 154.70
Sun, Jun 02 - $ 154.70

I think you just got my FB message too ;)

You rock, Melissa. :cheer2:  Thanks SO very much. :goodvibes

I'm now in the process of making a spreadsheet of pricing. :rotfl: This is "Full Court Press" territory now... :thumbsup2

Time to play catch up once again :)

DH and the kiddos home today so taking a few minutes on the laptop while they are playing some computer game.

Heather - I haven't been to Sea World in years, but I know it used to be the Renaissance that was the hotel on property. I am not sure what else has gone in since we were there. DH got up to go to a dr's appt this morning and threw on shorts and t-shirt and I laughed at him and said obviously you don't realize how cold it is out....it was 46 degree down here in South Florida....BRRRR, but I love this weather :goodvibes Oh glad to hear Faith like the RR's, we had them booked for April, but then DD decided she does not want her bday at WDW. I think they look like a good option with the deluxes are just crazily priced.

Wookie - sounds like you are good to go with your ADR's :thumbsup2 Hope you got though all your school work last night (even after helping the inlaws with their crap :lmao:)

Dani - did you order the Vitamix? I got a new food processor yesterday and am strangley excited, LOL!

Jen - glad your mom doesn't have shingles, did the dr say what it was? YAY on the AP's!

Well I am off to do some dishes and maybe a load of laundry, my life is just so exciting

We are such enablers :rotfl2: I figured being able to play in the site was easiest ::yes::

OH HOW COOL.....this was my 1000th post! Glad it was about something GOOD ;)

Yup!!! I am going to Costco today to buy a bunch of meat and fruit to use with it. I want to grind my own meat for burgers and such, as I am repulsed by store bough ground meat. I actually do not eat it. I don't know why, I just hate it. What food processor did you get? I wanted the Kitchenaid one, but I am pretty sure I can do pretty much anything in the Vitamix. Except slice veggies. I will try to resist the temptation though. :rotfl:

wookie Glad I could help!!!

Thanks, I did. I got it done really early. I had the 4 1/2 page paper done before 7 PM. The DH wanted me to play SW:tOR with him, but he annoyed me by doing a new boss without me that I haven't done. Then I got sucked into watching Dance Mom's online. Anytime he would text or FaceTime me from the other part of the house to check on how I was doing, I would tell him either I was still working on it, or editing it. Due to my mind not working right from my blood pressure being up a little from forgetting my morning meds, it read like a monkey wrote it. I just had to keep editing and reading through and editing again. Really, I was watching Dance Mom's.

wookie Glad I could help!!!

I got the Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus, I wasn't going for such an expensive one but DH researched it and when we got to Bed, Bath, and Beyond he decided that it was better than the Kitchen Aid (I used a 20% off coupon of course). So now between that, and my Kitchen Aid blender and stand mixer I am ready for anything, LOL! My stand mixer was my gift to myself a few years ago and it was the best investment, I use it soooo much!!!

Enjoy the Vitamix!!!

Sorry your mind was so racy, but at least you got it done (and got to watch Dance Mom's)! Some papers just won't be at your best, I have been there! Hope you remembered your meds this morning and are having a great day :)
