We are staying off site and our reservation is before rope drop. I was told on the phone that they will let us in early for our reservation.

Were is the best place to park?
What time should we be there by?
Once parked what's the next mode of transportation to get to MK?

1. Park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot. The parking attendants will direct you to a spot.
2. Get there about 7:30.
3. Take the tram to the monorail and ride it to the Magic Kingdom.
4. Once you get to the Magic Kingdom, you will have to go through bag check.
Once you get through bag check, go to the entrance turn style all the way to the right. That's usually where people with early reservations are let through to get into the park. Don't get into a regular line because they won't allow you into the park until opening.
Have fun!

We have had an 8:05 to 8:30 ADR for CP for the past few years. At that time of the morning the trams won't be running but that is okay, you will be close enough to walk. We usually get there around 7:00 and you will find you are one of the first ones in the parking lot. You will also more than likely have to ride the resort monorail because the express line will not be running yet. This takes extra time, that is another reason to be there very early. And last but not least, every year until last, we entered all the way to the right but this past year we enter on the far left. Not sure why the change but ask any CM and they will direct you where you need to go. Another reason to make sure you get there early, nothing beats walking down main street with only a few people out. Try to be early enough to get some pics before hand. We love our before rope drop ADR's at CP. It is great to already be in Fantasyland when the wave of people are coming down Main Street. But to do that, you have to eat quickly and already have your bill paid before you are done eating!!

Thanks for posting the latest information. it's been a couple of years since we've had an early reservation.

No problem! :) I try to never do MK without a before rope drop ADR. For our family it is worth the cost of the meal even if we didn't have anything to eat. :thumbsup2

If you have a 8:15, I would plan on parking at 7:00am. Walking in parking lot, monorail, bag check all take time and you REALLY want a nice relaxed walk down empty Main Street. That takes 15min in itself. The photographers are already there and will get unbelievable family pictures. It is great. Plus, you meet Cinderella before you are seated. So I would arrive at the castle by 7:55. There is a chance, you could get seated a little earlier which means more time to get out before it gets crowded.

Do plan on going to bed early the night before and be showered and next day clothes and bags ready for AM. I am guessing you will have to be up before 6am. Not fun in vacation but worth it.

We have myself, my wife, 2 kids, my parents, my niece, and sister in law to get ready.

I think half the battle will be getting everyone out the door by 6:50-7:00 that morning.

If we need to take the resort monorail, is there somewhere specific we go to get on that?

Yes, just enter the monorail station at the TTC under the sign that says resort monorail. It will be easy to find.

And I would be out the door earlier if you are off site.

No offense, but with a group that big, you REALLY need to aim to leave earlier than that. Plan to be parked at the TTC at 7 a.m., it will take a few minutes to walk to the monorail. If you have to take the resort monorail, it will make stops at the Poly and GF before MK, so that will add to your travel time. Then you have to get everyone through bag check (there will likely only be one person doing bag check that early) and through the turnstiles. They should let you into the park around 7:45, so that will give you plenty of time to take pictures on Main Street and make your way back to CRT. Enjoy!

It just may have the CM in charge the morning we went. We had 8:15am reservations and the CM was only letting people in with 8:00 reservations or earlier into the park ahead of opening. We had to wait until after the opening ceremony and enter with the masses. it was disappointing, I was looking forward to getting some good pictures in the park before it opened.

So you went on a morning when the park opened at 8 instead of 9. It can be hit or miss (depending on the CM) whether they let you in early in that situation.

Yes this is exactly what I was going to say also. Be at your parking spot around 7am. Give yourself time so even if you get delayed on monorail for some reason you will still have time for leisurely walk down main street to the restaurant. CP is one my favorite breakfasts in all WDW!! It such a pleasant place to dine. :thumbsup2

If you are offsite and left at that time, the earliest you would be at the monorail is 7:30am. That is really rushed if you ask me. Monorails have glitches, walking everywhere takes time. Why spend all that money to be so rushed on what should be a magical morning. Leave by 6:30am.

I agree with everyone else. You should try to leave your resort by 6:30 and be in the parking lot by 7:00. It won't be easy but it will be so worth it!! :thumbsup2

Edited to say: We always stay off site too and this is about what time we leave our resort on our CP ADR's mornings.

We are staying in Kissimmee, but its supposed to be 11 miles from Disney according to google maps
