We are staying 4 nights March 3-7 before our 3 night cruise. We booked a regular ((non preferred or water view) room since we don't usually spend much time in the room. I read that Casitas/Cabanas seem preferrable because of distance vs Ranchitos. Are there any special requests I can make while checking in to get best possible room(room # or section)? We have a rental car so busing will not be an issue.

Thanks for any tips

Casita Building 4 has a great lagoon view and is very close to bus stop #2 which is the FIRST place the bus loads and unloads for the resort. Can't go wrong with this one!

Hi NB. No Coronado Springs tips. Just wondering if you were going on the Dream 3-day Bahamian cruise March 7-10? Maybe we'll see you on board--look for my red and white Canada T-shirt. Have a good cruise!

Yes we will be there. I have no idea what I will be wearing :-). We know other canadians/NBers will be there as our March break is that week.

We stayed in Casitas building 8A. It was a very nice location, pool on one side of building, bus stop behind, and a short(relatively) walk aross bridge to food court. Have a great time!

Cabanas Building 9A or 9B ... we were in 9153 (king room), these buildings have a private pool and look out over one of the white beaches and the lakes.

The are the closest to the first bus stop, which is located at the main building for the resort.

In 9B you really can't go wrong as there are no parking lot views, but there are fewer forward (into the resort) facing views. 9A has the best resort views, but the backside faces parking lots.

Yeah, us too (ON)! We're doing the opposite to you. We're staying on at Pop Century after the cruise-- from the 10th to the 17th. Then it's home and the Grandkids are back to school on the 19th. Have a nice time at Coronado. We always try to get over and eat at the Pepper Market at least once during our stays. This time, maybe not!--since it's gone over to a Buffet format.. Take care.

It was only a buffet for a few months but they have switched back to the old way of doing things where you order your food ala carte. Not a buffet anymore.

I agree with a PP that Casita 4 would be a good building to request because you would be right there next to the preferred rooms and you would be in the same building as the fitness center. Casita 4 or 5 would be a good location without having to pay for a preferred room.

9B is Business Class only

Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are preferred. Cabana 9B is business class.

Many people prefer casitas 4 and 5 because it is close to the main building, first bus stop (bus stop #2, but the first dropped off and picked up when going to/from the parks), and fitness center. The theming in the casitas area is very nice, particularly at night.

Many families (including mine) prefer the cabanas for the proximity to the Dig Site pool, the sandy beach and hammocks. Our favorite location is cabana 8A.

Some people prefer ranchos because it is the quietest. It is the farthest to the main building, but still close to the Dig Site. Ranchos 7B is a nice location, close to the Dig Site, a quiet pool and a laundry.

You should make room requests prior to check-in - rooms are assigned a few days before arrival. You can call Disney directly or call your TA if you used a TA to book your room. If your request is not met in advance, you can ask again at check-in. The front desk CMs at CSR are generally very accommodating.

It is best to request an area or a couple of buildings rather than a single building or room (e.g. close to Dig Site, not room 8102). Many people make two requests - close to Dig Site with a preference for cabana 8A; close to main building, first floor; etc. List your requests in order of importance in case they can't all be met.

We stayed in Cabanas 8B last time and liked the location. Mind you, we aren't all that picky about view.

The location wasn't that far from El Centro, maybe 8 minutes walking. We had a quiet pool very close by and the walk to Dig Site wasn't bad either.

Next time we are booking business class, but if I were paying standard, I would like that location again!

Building 8A is Cabanas not Casitas.... But you are right that it is a great building! Closest to the main pool, a short walk to the main building and a parking lot and bus stop right behind.

:thumbsup2
