July 2013 Discounts

5boyz it was a pin code for the free dining. We still haven't booked our July vacation. We are still hoping for some sort of discount again.

UGH! I've been dragging my feet on getting our JUNE trip booked. Went to double check airfare today and it's gone up $100!!! I know that's not much compared to the overall expense of this trip, but I could do a lot of other things with that $$$. So, I'm now looking at JULY...problem is, I can book for our original dates in June using the spring discount but with the (now) increased airfare. I checked airfare for July and it's better...at least for today. I wonder how often airfare changes? Now I'm nervous about not booking the July airfare for fear it will go up. I'd hate to wait until March/April when everyone is thinking a July Disney discount will come out, only to find out there isn't going to be one for our dates + then the airfare goes up again. As it stands today, we could book the July dates for only $40.00 more than our original June dates (due to the increase in air) but if a discount comes out, we'd be back to what we were going to pay had we booked for June (fingers crossed!) We've been in July before & it was miserably hot! Couldn't belive what a difference there was in the temps between our July trip one year and June trip the following. Decisions, decisions...

we're going june 21-30th...with our dates chosen based on other family members ability to get time off. keeping fingers crossed but not holding my breath for a discount. i think we're hitting right between the typical discount dates (sigh).

Question, when you get FD, what are you getting and how many opportunities do you get per day to eat.

Do you get (Example) 1 Brk, 1 Lunch, 1 Snack and 1 Dinner per day? Past years, we have been getting Room only discounts. Don't know what we would do if we were offered FD.

I believe it depends on what level resort you are staying at. In the past the Value resorts were given Quick Service Dining Plan (2 counter servie, 2 snacks), and I think the Moderates and Deluxe resorts were giving the Regular Dining Plan (1 counter service, 1 table service and 1 snack??).

I have recently read that IF they do give FD later this year, it will be only offered at Moderates and Deluxe resorts and ONLY Quick Service dining.

I guess time will tell. I would however MUCH prefer a room discount

I dont know exactly when I got it but it expired Feb 28th. Sorry cant be of more help!

In July 2011 the pin for FD arrived in April. The offer then was QS for value, DDP for moderates and deluxe.

In July 2012 the pin we received was for up to 30% off stays and since we were going to a deluxe this pin was actually more valuable then the FD pin. We did not receive any other pins for free dining and we have multiple email addresses not tied to each other on disney's file.

I always think it is a good idea to save different quotes and order the DVD. For some reason it works for us and every year we get some sort of offer even if it is not one that we can use.

I ordered the DVD prior to our first trip in 2009. I've ordered it since, not so much hoping for a PIN (although I wouldn't turn it down! but just to see any changes to the DVD. I've never gotten another one. Is it only one per address? Would love to see a more recent DVD...

So I told my friends. I called back for something else a few weeks later again asked about the expiration date and was told June... I told her the other cm said April she said no June so OK!!! Well when they decided to book in March/April I called to make the reservation for them only to be told it expired Feb 28th. I only booked Feb 17th..So I was not happy. I asked to speak to someone else. I was put through to guest services. Told my story so because I was told 2 different dates and we were bringing first timers to Disney she gave them the discount too!!!!! HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!

April, 2012. Dates through beginning of August. 30% for Deluxe. No pins yet for this year.

I just got off the phone with the most hilarious, upbeat and perky reservationist! I could not stop giggling! I wanted to order the DVD, again (never received the first one) and she said... "OMGosh!!! I see you and your family are coming in July!! Ad your celebrating such and such!!!! Ohhhhh I am SO excited for you!...".

She continued.... " Okay, THIS time I am certain your DVD will arrive within 3-5 days!!! And BE sure to check back the END of March cuz THEY are telling us summer discounts are coming out the end of March!!"

Fingers crossed!. Hopefully she wasn't just on caffeine overload!

You could always book room only, then modify once discounts are released (yes, I'm staying positive! )

Hi RHMH! Currently we are snowed in here in Illinois so I have been on the disney forum site on and off all day. Let's hope CuteAsMinnie got good info from the disney receptionist. Hopefully those discounts come soon, and then I will be booking vacation the same time as you! Hope all is well with you and your family.
