September 9, 2013 - WONDERful re-positioning trip to LA

Hi there,
We're not officially on this cruise yet but we hope to be. I'm getting nervous that we don't have our reservations yet but am hopeful that we will in the next week or so. I'm just so excited that I had to join!

This will be our second DCL cruise but the first one was so long ago that it almost feel like a first again!

My hubby and I will be sailing (fingers crossed) with DD-16, DD-14, DS-12 and DD-8.

Glad to be here!
:yay:

We did FE on our last repo cruise. There ended up being two groups. The first group had about 20-25 cabins and the second one had about 15.

The person who organized it last year had a cut off date and then a bunch of people wanted to join so they made up a second group. Some people from the first group also joined the second group as they had extras.

There is no way I would join a group larger than 25 cabins. That was large enough.

I just did a search for Vancouver and found this thread. So excited to see it since I hadn't stumbled upon anything about this cruise yet. DH and I booked this as our first ever cruise, and we're so excited! Can't wait to read more of fellow cruisers plans. :thumbsup2

Welcome aboard! We did this as our 1st cruise last year and loved every moment!

I just switched my May northbound repo cruise to this cruise. Sad that it goes from 7 nights to 5 nights, but a big cost savings. Also, I discovered that my onboard credit went from $200 to $100 when switching from a 7 nt. to a 5 nt.
Currently, it will be myself, Susan, DH Rick, and DD Grace 8. This will be our 4th Disney cruise. :wave2:

Loosing 2 days is sad. I wish it was a 6 night like last year.

My nieces are 7 and 9 yrs old so your daughter will have some new friends to play with on board.

We're officially booked on this sailing now. We got the last set of connecting cabins on the entire ship! They're interior, on deck 1!:confused3 Oh well, at least we're on it. Our TA is going to keep an eye out for an opening of two other connecting cabins but I think we can deal with interiors. We'll just go there to sleep.

Our family of 6 doesn't even have passports so that's $700+ to spend, plus airfare to Vancouver so maybe we'll stick with the cheapie interior?

Still, SO excited!!!!

I can't believe how quickly the cruise has filled up this year! Last year I booked last min in July and was outside deck 5. This year those rooms are already gone! Glad we decided in December to book instead of chancing it again this year!:woohoo:

This will be our first cruise. I am way too excited to surprise our 2 kids. Then a week in DL. Hopefully the weather co-operates.

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you've got the same plans as we do. How old are your kids?

I quess we are neighbours.

Our children are younger they will be 3 & 5 at the time of our cruise. This will be their second time cruising with DCL. Its the perfect family vacation in my opinion. Then were off to old faithful (the hojo) for a week. They had daily deals for the month of January are we scored 25% off our stay :)

My niece's are the same ages as your children. We will be staying at the Desert Inn & Suites for a week after the cruise.

I just checked out the repo for 2014 and they dropped another night off now it's down to 4 nights!

I was really disappointed when I saw this too... We book the southern Carribean instead.

So far we have booked the early dining time. Thinking of changing it since our kids are older (7 and 9). Looking forward to meeting new friends for our kids and my husband and I . We are renting a townhouse when we arrive.

We're early dining as well but my kids are younger. Although in theory I'm not sure it makes a difference. Dinner and then show or show and then dinner. Either way they're up later than usual.
