OMG, that is hilarious!!!! You are such a good person to do that for him, but that story is classic!!! My mom had a good one too....on of her older brothers married a woman with the same first name as her, so when she was in high school everyone was whispering and pointing at her saying that Judy Alterman was pregnant, well it was obviously my aunt and not her, but still a funny story.

Great pictures Melissa!! I may not be able to get to mine until this weekend.

I do have some from my first WDW trip though...
From left to right, it's my mom, sister (Kassi), me (Kim), and brother (Gary)

You guys are sooooo cute! What a great pic! :thumbsup2 I was in my 30's for my first trip so that pic wouldn't be very epic for me!

oh my, that is too funny!! I guess you could take it as a compliment they thought you were so pretty someone would do anything, including pay, to have you by their side. For some odd reason, it makes me think of the movie "Can't Buy Me Love".

Thanks. I have a couple more from that trip. My mom thinks it was in 1981. That was the trip where we drove from Texas to Florida with three kids in a two door orange Datsun. When we got to a parking lot of I'm assuming the T&TC (from the way my mom describes it), her and my dad said we were just looking at Disney World from the parking lot. All three of us starting crying and saying things like, "But we don't want to look at it from a stupid parking lot. We want to go into Disney World." This continued from the car to the ticket counter, to the ferry, all the way into walking into the Magic Kingdom. My mom said that we did not stop until we saw the castle.

What a great memory.

I have one from Christmas week 1984 where my dad was wearing a parka. I just remember being at MK and it being so cold and every line was an hour!

Wanna see!

OMG!!! I'm gonna have to go to my dads house this weekend and find our first trip to Disney pics!!

We actually have video from our first visit (1986) which my dad took with his high tech (at the time) video camera! The thing was huge and still had reels of film. He had them transferred to DVD several years ago, but I love watching those videos....you could see way back when, I just "got" Disney. :goodvibes

Well, time to turn in...I spent the evening actually catching up on DVR from back in October!!!! :scared1:

DH has a rare day off tomorrow...and you know what he's doing...he's having DD6 get a day off from Kindergarten and he's taking her shoe shopping!! Her favorite past time. He feels that he doesn't spend enough time with her (DD8 is a MAJOR daddy's girl), so he set aside the day for her...she is so excited!!! :hyper:

What a sweet man :goodvibes More pics would be great! :thumbsup2

OMG, just got home from work and I am loving the pictures ladies!! And that story IHeart just about had me spit out my after work bowl of cereal!!

Sorry! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Good Morning

Loving seeing the pics tried posting myself but would not show up :(

Moring Sheila... do you mean you tried posting a picture and it didn't work? Did you use Photobucket? It's pretty easy.... I can help or do it for you..:goodvibes

Morining Peeps! :wave2:

Melissa, LOVE all your pix!! You were (and are still) a stunner! :)

I am loving your photos all. I don't do photobucket, so there will be no retro pics of me!

Photobucket is relatively easy... or you can scan and email me any pix and i will post them for you!

Love the pics Melissa!

These prom pics bring back a funny memory for me. My little brother's best friend's GF dumped him the day before prom. I had been out of HS for a few years already, but I told him I'd go with him so he wouldn't miss out. I wasn't shelling out big bux for this, so I hit the thrift store and found a really cute slinky black dress to wear. Only problem was that long and pastel was in that year. Since I was older, nobody knew me, and I was very obviously inappropriately dressed, by the end of the night the rumor mill had me as the hooker he had hired as his date. :scared1:

Good times. :rotfl::rotfl2::confused3

OMG!!! Somehow "walk this way" by Aerosmith comes to mind....:goodvibes Your date must of had a great time showing you off...you hussy you...:rotfl2:

Wookie, Great family pix and love your story with it... we had a nova....being the youngest I was always stuck in the middle seat....

Candance, how sweet of your DH!! And taking her shopping, heaven for a little girl... question how many shoes will he come home with?? :goodvibes

Jeanette I say August, November and December!!!! Keep searching those offsite locations! And then maybe a couple of nights onsite???
Adding onsite to the mix..WHOA MAMA!!!! :rotfl: I may just afford two trips yet....
pas - You are cracking me up with all of the trips. I can't wait to see where you end up.
Today the kids want WDW and not US...they are confusing ME :rotfl:

Is Jeanette on the bat phone with WDTC? Is she on the website pricing and scheming? Has DH taken her wallet, phone and computer? I'm staying tuned

Janet: I'm always glad you have Jeanette's back. You are her voice of reason and I know you'll tell on her if she tries anything sneaky

I have even managed to confuse Janet :rolleyes1

Stopping by to say HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! to my wonderful friends!
Marie ..hope you and DH had a meroble evening!!!! Great to see you!!

HRH is so cute! Congrats to her!!! I use to play the flute in band and flute ensemble and I treasure those times. I'll admit, my flute makes it out of the case about once a year now. That is so awesome that she got roses from her dad, how sweet, even if you picked them out, hehe.
My flute made it out once..I was helping DS12 keep time, so I played with him..he was impressed ;)
Samwise has puppy school this afternoon .... he's learning very quickly .... it's DH who is a little slow! :rotfl2:
:rotfl:

Jeanette: Whoo Hoo for more potential trips!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I like the sounds of 2 Royal Rooms, I was considering that for our May trip too!

Jen
I need to save $$$. And we would have so much extra!!!!

Miss, I've been dragging myself all week to the Y, but Sam is into it so thats all that matters. Forgot to post this, Sam told me she lost 12 lbs!!
Go Sam Go :cheer2:

Don't you ladies know I am running on almost no sleep, you need to slow down so I can keep up :p

Jeanette - I havent looked at the rates lately, but if you are looking off property, we have stayed at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa on several occasions. We have even shared a 4 bd with our cousins. All the masters have Jacuzzi tubs :rolleyes1 The location was really central to US and WDW.
http://www.lbvorlandoresort.com/
Melissa
We stayed there last year!!!! Loved it!!!!! Great pool!!!! 99/nt.

My kids had sugar meltdowns last night...I was :scared:

At least they're no longer sick ...hope Steven is better
Jeanette: We need a devise a direct link from your changes to your siggie so we can keep up and it would save you the effort of changing it.
:lmao: Great idea!

Love the pics Melissa!

Melissa You were as beautiful then as you are now... It wasn't cool to smile when we were in school :lmao: I grad. in 92 so I had the same hairstyle...I don't think I have pics...I moved out of my house in 1990 left a lot behind :confused3

wookiethat is a vintage WDW pic :thumbsup2

You guys are sooooo cute! What a great pic! :thumbsup2 I was in my 30's for my first trip so that pic wouldn't be very epic for me!

Thank you I just love the look on my mom's face. I'm assuming it's from dealing with three crying kids and people giving her nasty looks. She said people kept looking at her like they were terrible parents because we were crying.

What a great memory.

It is. I actually remember several things from that trip. I believe I was 5.

Wookie, Great family pix and love your story with it... we had a nova....being the youngest I was always stuck in the middle seat....

I am the middle child. I always like to get lay in the floorboard of the back seat for some reason. Then after my mom got her Dodge Ram Charger, I would sometimes get in the back with the luggage. Honestly, the middle seat was preferable to the one behind my dad. He's always been..(thinking of best way to say this)......had issues with gas. No one wanted to sit right "in the danger zone."

Moring Sheila... do you mean you tried posting a picture and it didn't work? Did you use Photobucket? It's pretty easy.... I can help or do it for you..:goodvibes

Yep used Photo bucket link :confused3

This is the only pic I have with all of us. Is back from 1994 the last trip we all went on together :)

Left to Right: Bob, Shawn, Mickey, Me, and Jason

Happy Friday RC peeps! :cool1:

Whatever you cruisin' folk decide, just don't go with Carnival...

Missout--Boy isn't that the truth!! Yikes, what those folks went through was just scary!

Happy Valentines Day to all. Justin saying last night...I don't like Valentines Day, just give me some chocolate - discounted the next day! ( that's a 15 year old boy for you.)

DetTigsGal--Your son is a smart shopper! :thumbsup2

...as promised, and in honor of Valentines Day (for those of you not on FB), here is the pic of DH and I, circa 1996....note the Mickey vest and bowtie. A keeper I say.

MM-That was such a sweet photo! :cloud9:

What a headache! That happened to me with our mortgage, it wassent to "unapplied funds" somewhere...ugh. Glad it's fixed AND you have an apology!!!
BTW You ARE amazing!
Pas--Aww, thanks! :goodvibes

Gwynne: I'm proud of you for keeping your cool - DH needs to take you out to dinner tonight;)

If any of you have been to Jiko's, I'd love your .02 cents or .04 with inflation

Kook--I am so glad it's been corrected. Whew!

I'd be glad to help with any Jiko questions. It's our favorite restaurant at WDW. The food is fabulous, great wine list, and the staff are first rate! It's well worth the price, we think. Are you bringing your daughter? If you are, you might want to consider asking to sit at the cooking place. (Just request it on your dining reservation.) There are about 10+? seats that face the smaller kitchen in the restaurant, called the cooking place. They make the pizzas and apps there, and they will chat with you now and then, it's fun.
Sitting at the regular tables is very nice, too. They really make you feel at home, welcome either place. Let me know if I can help with anything else. We've tasted quite a bit of their menu, let me know if I can help with more specific questions on menu items or wine recommends. :goodvibes

DH and I are going to the new VIP 18+ theatre in our area for tonight, our seats are already picked....comfy seats, beer/wine/ and nibbly's you can order and be served....seeing identity thief, so it'll be nice to be in the special theatre with upgraded viewing comfort, and adult only environment :)
Marie--That sounded like such fun, hope you had a wonderful time! :cool1:

It sure does sound like a vacation is needed! Wow, what a mess!!!!!! I'm glad they got it all straightened out for you!
Dzny-Thank you!

Ginny: Way to keep your cool, I think I would've been mildly freaking out!
Jenny-I was.

Ginny, wow you kept your cool, smart and doubly smart to get their apology and mistake in writing in case this every comes up in an credit check...
Janet--Crazy world, we gotta protect ourselves from wacky mistakes, huh? :thumbsup2

Ginny - oh my, what a headache I am sorry you had to deal with that, at least it is resolved to your satisfaction. I would have totally lost my cool :scared:
Melissa--It helped keep me grounded to remember we have months left on our lease...and a lot of deep breaths...:)

Ginny: Wowza! :crazy2: Glad you got them all sorted out. Patience of a saint, you've got. :worship:
Thanks, Missout. :goodvibes

Good for you for not backing down.
Wookie--Aww, thanks. :)

Sounds all good to me :yay: We really loved YC so I am not even going to try to talk you out of it. You will love it :goodvibes

Melissa--I totally agree, the Yacht Club is heavenly!:cloud9::lovestruc

And just for good measure....my senior photo, that was 20 YEARS AGO
That was a lovely photo! :)

GG--Hope you enjoy your coffee!

Shiela-What a precious picture.

Waving hi to all the RC friends  Have a great day!

I'm loving all the RC pictures!!! What cute families we RCers have!!! Someday I will have to learn how to use photobucket!!! :rotfl2:

Jeanette when did that ticker change? Did I miss something? :confused3

So for November .... now that DH and Sam aren't going I can be more flexible on where DD and I stay. All I know for sure is it will be a DVC studio and it won't be BLT. I could book SSR now just so I have something booked but I know DD really likes staying at AKV so that's where I hope we end up .... of course I wouldn't mind a lodge split .... AKV/VWL! So if I book now I'll just have to call MS at the 7 month window and I'd much rather do it all online so I can look at all my options! So for now here I sit ... waiting .... waiting .... waiting .... :surfweb:

Jeanette the pics are wonderful. You must have nice memories from the trip with your entire family. So greatfull for the Disney trips! :goodvibes

Good morning / afternoon to all of my wonderful RC pals. :goodvibes

Sheila: Thank you so much for sharing that pic with us. :goodvibes

Sue M: How was Zero Dark Thirty? popcorn::

Janet: I'm still alive despite Ron's best efforts otherwise. :lmao: Shame we don't live close, I need a gym torture buddy!

Marie: How was your movie experience? I LOVE dine-in theatres. :thumbsup2

Melissa: Love those pics! Oh, that hair... I remember that hair. You had to get hairspray by the bucketfuls too, eh? That "smile" ... you were mad at either whoever was taking the picture or someone in the room. :rotfl:

Wookie: Ahhh, LOVE it! Especially those little outfits you and your sis were wearing! :lovestruc :lmao: at "danger zone"!

I_Heart: I was dying with laughter when I read your prom story. :lmao: Of course, hubbo wanted to know what was so funny so I had to tell him. :rotfl: That is absolutely hilarious. "What Happens at Prom, Stays at Prom."

Ginny: Now you've got me wanting to check out the Jiko menu. :rolleyes1

Jeanette: Ohhh, I LOVE that collage frame! Look at those smiley-happy baby pics. Smiley-happy babies always make me

Jen: How'd the girls enjoy their V-day yesterday? :lovestruc

Candace: I just had to share my columns with you. (I opted for the no ex picture. Also, that lump-head thing was actually a french roll, oh my.) Note the hospital flower arrangement: :lmao:
