Really? Really??? So, are you 100% certain that there was not an emergency that happened to that person/family? No, didn't think so. It's called a random act of kindness.
Have you read the rest of the thread for plenty of examples of people just thoughlessly not paying attention? Clothes are always piled on the counter on the last morning every single cruise because somehow people forget about the fact that they did laundry. If you don't remove the clothes from a machine that has stopped and does not have any time/money left, no one else is going to get their laundry done. The only time I have taken time out of my cruise to do laundry was on the PC repo. We had been in CA for a week previous to the cruise so I did our laundry on the 3rd day when it wasn't busy yet. If I had not stuck around and left our clothes in a washer or dryer, it would have been the right of the next person who came into the laundry room when the other machines were occupied to remove the clothes from the washer/dryer that was out of time...even if it was mine. If there was an emergency, the person can deal with their laundry when they have time to...but not have it occupy a machine that entire time. This is starting to sound very much like the pool chair hog threads.
