Darn :( I'm sorry. That does stink. The radio (tv, news papers, whatever) makes it sound so easy. "Just get a copy of your credit report and pay things and there you go! Debt free and good credit!" It just doesn't work that way.

You want to build up your credit and do right but you can't without---- CREDIT!

Things will work out, even if it's a longer windier road.

AND CONGRATS! NO CREDIT CARDS! :yay:

Good luck to everyone, I need to get out of credit card debt bad, even though I'm in the middle of the month I'm taking the pledge, I'm going to give it up for lent (along with French fries and cookies now everyone knows my weaknesses lol). It's going to be hard, but baby steps.

Clearly I am lol well to be specific I gave up the cookies at work..which I know sounds like a cop out but the cafeteria at work freshly bakes large chocolate chip cookies every day and sells them for $.30, they are big, soft and sometimes warm. I literally have one a day, it's terrible so if I can give just those up its an accomplishment haha

2-21 and 1 only used 3 online buys this month.. I looked up my history on Amazon.. and it was 2 out of days from Oct -Jan. .. I am so proud. I have spent less than 200$ (less than 50$ on non-needed items.)

WOOT WOOT keeping checking with everyone else. I am using all saved money at Disney... :lmao: okay maybe not, but in my brain that is what I tell myself before I decide if i need it or not. WOOOt WOOOOt

Go you!

And I think a good way to use saved money (from an accomplishment) is for fun! Just make sure you're tucking away a real "no-touch" savings as well ;)

We have two credit cards, both of which we earn cash back or points on. One of them is set up for Netflix and EZ Pass, but we try to not use either one for anything else. Usually once a year or so, we'll have a small balance on it for a few months. Right now we have our Disney and Universal deposits and La Nouba tickets on there, to be paid off when our tax refund comes in. Also had to whip out the cards last week when we went to my grandma's funeral...hotel room, driving expenses and a couple meals on the road. Once the refund arrives, we should be able to get back to using them for the points and paying them off the same week.
