Don't you ladies know I am running on almost no sleep, you need to slow down so I can keep up :p

Shelia - I am glad you were able to crawl back in bed, probably just what you needed

Jen - you know that I think of it, we paid about $9300 for our cruise on Oasis for the 5 of us. That was two adjoining balcony cabins. So I guess the rates you got aren't that far off. I won't even say what we spent the following year, we had a 2bd suite :rolleyes1

Linda - I just :rotfl2: with the DH being slow comment, you crack me up!!! It sounds like you are ready to go and it all sounds perfect :goodvibes

Marie - have a wonderful time tonight!!! One of the movie theaters here has an upstairs which is 21+, sounds similar to yours. We did it once and it was so nice, DH and I snuggled up on a love seat :lovestruc

KOOK - I am so sad that I can't find good GF eateries around here, especially a bakery. You would really think that Boca would be the ideal location. Whole Foods has stuff in the freezer as does Publix, but the kids like my baking better. I am seriously thinking that my GF baking will end up being a business as the kids get a little older :confused3

i_heart - sorry DD isn't giving you the break you need, they have an uncanny sense of knowing when we need to get stuff done

Jeanette - I havent looked at the rates lately, but if you are looking off property, we have stayed at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa on several occasions. We have even shared a 4 bd with our cousins. All the masters have Jacuzzi tubs :rolleyes1 The location was really central to US and WDW.

Ginny - oh my, what a headache :headache: I am sorry you had to deal with that, at least it is resolved to your satisfaction. I would have totally lost my cool :scared:

DetTigsGal - my DH loves the next day candy sales too, especially after Halloween, LOL!

Miss - I dont think anyone (including Jen) will be sailing on Carnival for a while, they just keep having such horrific problems :crazy2:

:wave2: to Christine, Janet, DznyCrzy, and anyone else I am missing!

Steven will be home again tomorrow, his fever keeps creeping back and he still isnt feel well at all. All he has eaten today is a few potato chips and a handful of frozen grapes :sad2:

I finally closed my eyes after I picked up Sarah from school and Andrew was home, it was all of 15 minutes before Sarah decided she needed to SCREAM....."MOM, I'M HUNGRY".....I wanted to kill her  GIRLS!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day :grouphug:
Melissa

Jeanette: We need a devise a direct link from your changes to your siggie so we can keep up and it would save you the effort of changing it. :faint:

I_Heart: Aww, shucks. Thank you. Has it calmed down a bit for you yet? Hope she gives her momma a break! :goodvibes

Ginny: Wowza! :crazy2: Glad you got them all sorted out. Patience of a saint, you've got. :worship:

Jen: Holy schnikies with those two quotes, that's a lotta Disney you can get for that. :faint: Did the girls get to do anything fun at school for Valentine's Day? :cutie:

Kook: "Make it so." :3dglasses I can't mentally read those words and not hear any voice but his. :rotfl: I'm curious about Jiko now... :scratchin

Marie: Oooooh, dine-in theatres are so nice! Lucky you, have a great time. :goodvibes

Sheila: Glad you got some rest. :goodvibes

Janet: I haven't been since last Friday. I'm afraid "putting the smack down" is the phrase that comes to mind for what's in store for me tomorrow. Way to go, Sam! That's EXCELLENT! :worship:

Melissa: Awww, poor Steven. Do they have off Monday, too? Extra long weekend will hopefully do the trick. :rotfl: about Sarah... what is with these girls? Miss M, exactly the same. Drives me batty. I thought it was boys who are supposed to have the endless guts. :confused3

They actually have off Monday and Tuesday, so he should have plenty of time to feel better and get some of his work made up too. I just hate that he just missed 3 days last week, now this. Not much I can do about it though

Wookie - so are you staying strong with BC :confused3

Hello to everyone one else, I have missed you all :grouphug:

Off to check on the patient, this fever likes to spike as soon as the meds wear off :worried:

Melissa

The DSs are, but I'm.....well there's the CR TPV with that view......then there's my love of the WL. I swear I had less trouble finding a husband than being 100% set with a Disney resort. However, no matter how itchy that RC finger gets, I will no change since the boys really want SAB.

Candace That is a great picture!! He certainly was a keeper. Y'all make a great couple.

Hope all our RC kiddos are feeling much better today!!! Sick kids are no fun!

My Diva trip is less than 2 weeks away. I have all my tee shirts ready .... a different color for each day, my tiara for the princess picture, flights and hotel booked .... now I just need to pick up the candy for the snack table at the Meet n Greet. :thumbsup2

After DL I'll be heading to Santa Monica to visit for a couple of days with DD and DS .... of course there might be a little time on the beach!!! :beach:

Sounds like it will be a great trip!!

Happy Valentines Day to all. Justin saying last night...I don't like Valentines Day, just give me some chocolate - discounted the next day! ( that's a 15 year old boy for you.

Hope everyone is feeling better soon :)

I'm not big on the day either. I used to be, but then I spent one in the E.R. thanks to a gift from the DH. Since then, I really don't care for it.

 So you're a Kirk woman, eh? (Although I'm not a Trekkie, I'd love to see Patrick Stewart on stage... he could read the phone book for all I care.)

Well, if I had to pick a Star Trek captain, he would not be first on my list. I'm with you on Patrick Stewart, who is my favorite Star Trek captain. I would love to see Michael Dorn at one of these. :faint:

Happy Valentine's Day! :lovestruc

It's all good now, but I've had quite a week. Mon I got a flurry of legal notices, basically saying we hadn't paid our rent. :faint: We always do, and had, of course.:headache:

So, the last few days have been spent getting it straightened out. I paid online via THEIR website on time as usual, and I always print a copy. After a lot of back and forth, checking, they finally said they were very, very sorry, they "found" the $$. They had been paid (no duh) but they didn't apply the $$ to the proper account.
Ok, that's good, but I still wanted a letter of apology stating it was their mistake, we had done nothing wrong, and we continue to be in good standing. I finally got the letter this morning. They've corrected everything. Persistence pays!
Hubster thinks I'm amazing...I managed not to lose my cool, just insist that everything be corrected legally.

I need a vacation!:rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day! Hugs to you all!

Good for you for not backing down.

I am still hoping for DL....it's just all so pricey, even trying to keep it to under 5K, I can't help thinking that that would be 5K we could put towards our big WDW trip in Jan/FEB 2015 when we bring DS's GF and stay at Kidani for his grad trip! on the other hand, I'd love one more trip with my DS/ and his BF just to see DL, I haven't been since 1990, and would love to go just for the week! it's pricey and I'm trying to make it all work, fingers crossed it all comes together eventually!

I hope you are able to make it work. I would love to do a DL trip one day.

DH and I are going to the new VIP 18+ theatre in our area for tonight, our seats are already picked....comfy seats, beer/wine/ and nibbly's you can order and be served....seeing identity thief, so it'll be nice to be in the special theatre with upgraded viewing comfort, and adult only environment :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day filled with much happiness!!

Love
Marie

We have a theatre like that, and I love it. The seat recline all the way to a laying down position. At the beginning, when they bring your drinks, they bring you a small cup of caramel popcorn. Then at the end, they bring you small hot moist towels to clean your hands off.

HRH is so cute! Congrats to her!!! I use to play the flute in band and flute ensemble and I treasure those times. I'll admit, my flute makes it out of the case about once a year now. That is so awesome that she got roses from her dad, how sweet, even if you picked them out, hehe.

Sent from my GalaxyS II

I played the flute in school as well. I picked the flute because I love H.R. Pufnstuf and named my flute Pufnstuf. I hate it when people (especially the guys I game with) find out that I played the flute in school because they always say, "So, this one time, at band camp".

So actually my numbers were off on the cruise $$, the actual quotes were

Aug 18 - $9400
Aug 25 - $8900

:lmao: You gotta be kidding me!!

Hi to Linda, Melissa and everyone else!!

Jen

JM was sitting beside me this morning, watching Invader Zim, as I was pricing Disney Alaskian cruises. When I told him the prices he was like, "Either Disney is crazy thinking people will pay those prices, or people just have too much money to waste." When I asked him what he would do with the money instead of a cruise, he rolled his eyes at me and said, "duh mom, I would build a hotel for cats, so instead of shelters killing them, they could live in my hotel until someone wanted to take them home."

As far as our Disney tripI think I tricked my DH into upgrading to the DlxDDP. Last night, well really this morning, we were laying down to bed at 1 AM. He said, "Happy Valentine's" and I said, "Happy Valentine's and thanks for the Valentine's Day present of upgrading to the DlxDDP." When he didn't say "no" I took that as him agreeing to what I said. WOO HOO!! Le Cellier :banana:

Thanks to the DSs really wanting SAB everything else is pretty much set in stone. We're booked 9/9-9/14 at the GV BC room.

Can I just say that Candace's prom pic has me thinking that I need to pull out one of mine to post ;) Actually I need to find a pic of my bday cake I was surprised with at my senior prom, not Disney, but still a classic.

Sounds all good to me :yay: We really loved YC so I am not even going to try to talk you out of it. You will love it :goodvibes

I've actually wanted to stay there since I saw the Samantha Brown Hotels episode from the YC/BC. I just wish I could find it on line somewhere and watch it. I'm almost afraid I will love it, then I will be torn between two loves.

I wanna seeeeeee!!! :hyper:

Me too!! You know what else would be cool? To post wedding pictures. Hmmm...I know my wedding album is the storage unit, but I bet the mil has some pics from the DH's senior prom and from our wedding.

So while looking for my prom and cake pictures, I found something totally Disney related......

Andrew's first trip to WDW!

Look at the Castle!

Now if that wasn't a blast from the past, I go back even further.....

My senior prom was the day before my 18th birthday, so my mom and my friends had this cake made and presented to me at the prom, I had no clue and was totally embarrased as the whole prom sang Happy Birthday to me

My cake did in fact have a Disney aspect to it, I used to collect the Dalmatian figurines, but as you can see I have a secret obsession....well not so secret most people know about it ;)

Now I am not posting the posed pics taken because well, I don't care for either of the people I went to my proms with (one was the abusive bf, and one was my ex-h). But here is a picture of me before I left for my senior prom, birthday balloons and all, a smile would have been nice :lmao:

And just for good measure....my senior photo, that was 20 YEARS AGO

OMG Melissa!!! I LOVE the retro photos!!!!! So much fun. I love looking back....because you really can't grasp how far you've come until you know where you started! :goodvibes

Love the pics Melissa!

These prom pics bring back a funny memory for me. My little brother's best friend's GF dumped him the day before prom. I had been out of HS for a few years already, but I told him I'd go with him so he wouldn't miss out. I wasn't shelling out big bux for this, so I hit the thrift store and found a really cute slinky black dress to wear. Only problem was that long and pastel was in that year. Since I was older, nobody knew me, and I was very obviously inappropriately dressed, by the end of the night the rumor mill had me as the hooker he had hired as his date. :scared1:

Good times. :rotfl::rotfl2::confused3

OMG, that is hilarious!!!! You are such a good person to do that for him, but that story is classic!!! My mom had a good one too....on of her older brothers married a woman with the same first name as her, so when she was in high school everyone was whispering and pointing at her saying that Judy Alterman was pregnant, well it was obviously my aunt and not her, but still a funny story.

Great pictures Melissa!! I may not be able to get to mine until this weekend.

I do have some from my first WDW trip though...
From left to right, it's my mom, sister (Kassi), me (Kim), and brother (Gary)

oh my, that is too funny!! I guess you could take it as a compliment they thought you were so pretty someone would do anything, including pay, to have you by their side. For some odd reason, it makes me think of the movie "Can't Buy Me Love".

Thanks. I have a couple more from that trip. My mom thinks it was in 1981. That was the trip where we drove from Texas to Florida with three kids in a two door orange Datsun. When we got to a parking lot of I'm assuming the T&TC (from the way my mom describes it), her and my dad said we were just looking at Disney World from the parking lot. All three of us starting crying and saying things like, "But we don't want to look at it from a stupid parking lot. We want to go into Disney World." This continued from the car to the ticket counter, to the ferry, all the way into walking into the Magic Kingdom. My mom said that we did not stop until we saw the castle.

I have one from Christmas week 1984 where my dad was wearing a parka. I just remember being at MK and it being so cold and every line was an hour!

Marie have a good night! And want to know what you think of that movie! We went to see Zero Dark Thirty Tues night.

OMG!!! I'm gonna have to go to my dads house this weekend and find our first trip to Disney pics!!

We actually have video from our first visit (1985) which my dad took with his high tech (at the time) video camera! The thing was huge and still had reels of film. He had them transferred to DVD several years ago, but I love watching those videos....you could see way back when, I just "got" Disney. :goodvibes

Well, time to turn in...I spent the evening actually catching up on DVR from back in October!!!! :scared1:

DH has a rare day off tomorrow...and you know what he's doing...he's having DD6 get a day off from Kindergarten and he's taking her shoe shopping!! Her favorite past time. He feels that he doesn't spend enough time with her (DD8 is a MAJOR daddy's girl), so he set aside the day for her...she is so excited!!! :hyper:

OMG, just got home from work and I am loving the pictures ladies!! And that story IHeart just about had me spit out my after work bowl of cereal!!
