Artist Point - can you substitute items in a dish?

I'm already thinking about what to eat on my ADRs in August, and am planning on making a 180-day reservation tomorrow for Artist Point. The food looks delicious, however, each option for entree seems to have 1 element I dislike.

My mouth is watering right now for:
Grilled Hand-cut “C.A.B.” Filet Mignon, Wild Mushroom Ragoût, Savory Truffle, and Hazelnut Crunch Donut filled with Sweet Potato, Sage, and Red Currant Gastrique.

However, I dislike hazelnuts and sweet potato - and this donut seems to be a large portion of the dish. Would the restaurant allow me to substitute the donut for, say, the Yukon Gratin or Herb Spatzle from a different dish?

Thanks :)

Yes, MOST restaurants will allow you to substitute a side from one dish for an side on another dish. Some sides are listed ont he menu separately, and are charged an additional fee.
Good Luck

Yes, you can. :goodvibes

I substituted the Yukon potato side that comes with the buffalo dish, to go with my filet dish instead. It was delicious!!!! ::yes::

Voila!

Artist Point is a stellar place to eat and will go to extreme lenths to make oyu happy and your meal exactly the way you want.
Our daughter had gotten a stomach virus on our trip to disney a few years back she didn't eat anything the first two days in disney and the first day she could really eat anything we had reservations at Artist Point We asked for the world when we got there-
A half portion of lightly grilled salmon no seasonings at all no butter nothing cup of white or brown rice steamed again no seasoning or butter and carrots thin sliced no seasoning or butter. They made her meal exactly as asked and to perfection she was so excited with all the attention the staff showered upon her to this day she still talks about it and her favorite place to eat is Artist Point and favorite thing to eat is salmon, when she asked for a dessert we told her she could try some fruit. The waiter brought her a full plate of orange slices it had to be 2 full oranges twisted and laid out like a fan with a half cherry on every other slice. I don't believe we paid for any of her meal that day either, even the managment staff came over a few times throughout our meal to check on us and to make sure we (she) was happy !!!

I've subbed sides there a couple times. I ended up with the most delicious sauce that used to come with the salmon...god I have dreams about that stuff. I would have taken it in a to go cup. They've never given me a problem. The only place I did have a problem was Narcoossee's. I asked for the marble potatoes from another dish rather than whatever my steak actually came with and was told "Well they only really make enough for the amount of that dish they expect people to order." I've never had anyone tell me that before. My real issue was when she offered me mashed potatoes which was fine, but they weren't normal potatoes. It looked like "real" ones (tricky tricky! :scratchin ) but they were some kind of white mashed sweet potato. Can't say I was a fan..

I had this donut recently. I have to say that I didn't taste the hazelnuts at all. The interior tasted like sweet potato pie, delicious.

Artist Point, and most table service restaurants, will sub items upon request. My wife subbed potatoes and similarly high carb items for vegetables at every meal, and there was no issue whatsoever in any of them.
