Progress of the Triumph

I had hoped that the ordeal would be over for these passengers today, but it sounds like tomorrow at the earliest.

Yesterday it looked possible, but she must have loss time last night.

It is plain unsafe to bring a dead ship, that large, up the channel in the dark. The last thing we need at this time is the Trumph running aground.

Our news channel is reporting she will be docked between 7 & 8 tonight. Winds are keeping her from getting in earlier.

Well that is great then!..:thumbsup2. The early morning reports were saying they would anchor her over night.

AKK.

Let's hope :( I really feel for the passengers.

I hope everything gets better real quick for these poor passengers and crew.

My family first cruise was on the Triumph out of NYC in 2009.

I hope and pray that everyone turns out to be ok.....::sad:

Just wanted to thank you for the very informative updates. It's been a pleasure to skip all of the drama on the news, etc and get straight forward information on the progress of getting her back to port.

Other then the logestic problems expected onboard with the present conditions ...I have not seen any reports of anyone really ill or hurt.

I just saw on CNN that it will take them hours to get from the head of the harbor to the dock because it is only moving at 3 mph because of the wind. If the reports here that they'll dock at 7 are correct, they will be through the narrow opening and into the port in daylight, slowly limping to the dock.

Thank you kindly..........I stayed away form the onboard details. The news has them all over the tv and radios.

The one thing I could not find was her actual position by the tracking services. It possibile it was turned off or they just didn't have the power available .

Actually I would not blame them if they did turn it off.......hell the media would be out there with helos, being a pest!

Sounds about right to me. The last thing the passigners need is another night onboard.

This is only rumours but it makes some sense. seems alot of the passingers just want to be bused directly to Glaveston and houston, forgoing the night in NO.

I can agree with that.I think I would just want to get home fast.

Just wanted to echo this sentiment

NOT saying this will happen, but just imagine if they got to the dock tonight and made everyone stay on board one more night. :crazy2:

The media will be vultures waiting for people to come off the boat.

Question: Why do the toilets back up on a cruise ship?

Just wanted to thank you for giving the factual information about the ship itself. I was able to get answers without having to watch the news for a much longer time hoping they would cover what I wanted to know.

Watching the live feed, just saw the CG helo lift something or someone up in a basket, it was not a very big item, if it was someone hope they are ok.:worried:

Because there's no power to treat the waste and move it where it needs to be.

However, I was thinking that in an emergency situation there should be simply a way to dump it. I know it's horrible for the ocean, but there's also the issue of it causing health issues to those onboard.
