Ack - Help! Book or Wait!

We'd like to do the new 9 day 2014 Alaska cruise. My preference would be to book on-board (for the discount), but we don't board until April 26th, and I'm afraid if this cruise is popular it will be sold out or limited in cabin selection by then. What do you think, will this be a popular cruise and sell quickly? Should I wait or should I book now discount less?

I was coming on here to ask the same thing- but we are interested in the 2 day San Diego cruise for our 5th anniversary. We sail in July to Alaska. Wondering if it is better to book opening day or book on board for the savings, but maybe it will be cheaper now? We have not cruised before, so my husband wants to make sure we like it as well. What are the cancellation policies?

I would book the cruises that are unique now. The price will likely increase more than the 10% before you board and can book an OBB.

I believe you can cancel (as long as you aren't in a suite) up to a few months before without a fee.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about the price increases making the discount irrelevant. Alas I cannot book until tomorrow, hopefully things won't go up too much by then, and then we're in! Thanks again!
