First cruise EVER - April 26th - have a 12yr old daughter (only child) so she is nervous about the kids clubs & meeting girls (or boys) her age... anyone else with a DD around that age going?

I did look over there - I was lost & confused on FE gifts & fish extenders??? Don't mean to be stupid but I had no idea what they were talking about We have never cruised before & I just felt stupid to post anything there.

Care to fill me in?

Darn - I supidly left out the date for our cruise - its 04/26/13. Boy I am posting too much & presuming everyone reads my mind I guess! Sorry - but have fun on your cruise!

Here is the link to your cruise meets thread. Just post on that thread that you just booked and I am sure that you will be welcomed!!! Usually the first few posts list the members going and their ages so you can see if there are other kids the same age.

FE or fish extender is a holder that is hung outside your cabin door for a
secret santa type gift exchange between fellow cruisers. It is totally voluntary and you can either participate or not. Here is a link that shows a pic of one and explains a bit of what they are. someone on your Meets thread usually heads it up and keeps track of who wants to participate. Don't let talk of the FE keep you from posting on the cruise meets thread...the thread discusses all things about that cruise and not just the FE. It is a great way to meet people and learn all about the specific cruise you are on. A great place to share info and build excitement about your particular cruise.

Ok, thanks...makes me feel better! I wasn't sure what all that stuff was & if I had to if I joined the thread, etc.
