It's going to be a horrible fight for me to get my reservation. I didn't realize until a few days ago that I am going to be there on Mother's Day weekend and I want a reservation for Saturday Night.

I did the same thing! It wasn't until long after we moved our trip from January to may that I realized we would be there over mothers day. And I want to go to the dessert party on mothers day!

Dessert party aside, is mothers day weekend a busy time all over Disney world?

If you subscribe to this and just keep on top of when they open you should be fine. You just need to call right when they open

I've looked at 'crowd calendars' and most say the crowd level is between 5 and 6 for the time I am there (May 9 through 16), with MK being a 7 on Sunday.

I was there last year during Mother's Day and the weekend didn't seem any busier than the rest of the time we were there. Crowds weren't bad at all.

Who was able to book a reservation for March 3rd?? I checked this morning and CANNOT believe that night is already sold out! I have heard that the party has a max reservation of 50 people and I also read that it has availability for approx. 100 Just curious as to how many were available that night, so if you could, please post if you have a reservation and how big the party is and maybe we can get an idea!

We're hoping for April 26th also! More than just "icing on the cake" for us though, it's going to be the whole cake! That's our anniversary.

It's our anniversary trip. We'll be back home and at work for our anniversary though (29th).

I'm waiting for April 22nd! My husband and I are taking my parents. I really hope we get a ressie, because it will probably be the last time for awhile my parents (or at least my mom, who hates to travel) will be in Disney, and I want to treat them to something special!

I posted on the Feb. cancellation thread also, but wanted to post here too. I have a ressie for the dessert party this Friday (Feb. 15) for 2 at 7:05pm. I was able to get a dinner ressie in the castle of r 5:30pm, so I'm cancelling the dessert party reservation at 3pm central today. Hope someone here can get it.

I don't understand how they can have spaces for reservations of 3 and up, but not for parties of 1 or 2. Is it possible to book a party of 3 and then call and cancel 2 of the spots? I'm going solo in May and I'm worried I won't be able to get a spot just because of being a party of one

Other people have reported getting ressies being by themselves.
