Thank you! Very helpful to have this, I like to make my Palo plans around this.

Can you put us (Julie & Lisa - 2 cabins on deck 7) down for day 2? We are from San Francisco so we will do a SF theme FE gift. Also, we are from SF so feel free to ask away any questions, and if I can help out at all with reservations just let me know. By the way, there is a Giants day game while we are in port. We probably will pass since we can go anytime (unless we think we can get a big group??? I could see about group tickets, that could be fun!)

I almost agree, but I think Pirates Night will be on May 23rd. With one exception on all my cruises Pirate Night was on a port day. I think the only exception was our Hawaii cruise.

There are no assigned days for this. You can deliver whenever it is convenient for you. As long as you have dropped off your gifts by 4:00 PM on the last full day, it is all good.

Since you asked... :) We want to go to Muir Woods one of the days we are in SF. We are trying to decided between doing a disney tour (cons would be cost and not enough time there and we'd like to stop at GGB for photos), renting a car, or using a local tour operation on our own. There are 7 of us (4 adults, a teen, a tween, and a preschooler). I have found 2 different local tour operations that seem to have semi-customizable trips to Muir Woods. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions on this. Thanks.

Glad you're bringing more kids too. :)

Thanks for the update on Pirates Night. I'll edit my previous email. This will be only my second DCL cruise, and first 7 nighter, so I bow to experience.

Calmom... Have you joined our FB page yet? I've got a few questions about SF too but DISboards says I don't have enough posts to PM other users yet. Can I FB message you?

I posted this earlier on the FB page. I'm in tears :sad:Well, I had to do it, I had to cancel this cruise <sniff, sniff> I switched to the September repo cruise, which is only 5 nights instead of 7, ugh! There is a huge savings BUT I found out that my OBC goes down from $200 to $100, when you switch to a 5 night. I was hoping for a repo for next year, but it looks like the Wonder may be in dry dock and there is no California cruises listed for 2014.

The Wonder's summer schedule hasn't been released yet. She will probably be in dry dock at some point but it hasn't been announced when/where that will be.

I guess I would go with a local tour group. Disney hasn't been to SF that many times so they probably are still finding their relationships. And not sure I'd rent a car, as part of the fun will be looking around and that is hard to do if you are driving.

Also, I know some were thinking of wine tasting and DCL is crazy expensive. There usually is some good deals on Group on and Livingsocial. Here is one I just received today from livingsocial. I can't speak for the company, maybe Yelp them if anyone is interested.

I just read the fine print for that one special, it is only good after 7pm so wouldn't work for wine tasting, but others I see come through are. You just need to always check the fine print of those deals, and maybe call them before purchasing to make sure they are available while we are in port.

Pirate Night is Fri., 5/24 it's a sea day. It's listed on the website when you go to book activities. So no guessing on which day it will be.

Thanks for this. We are still not paid in full for this so I have not been able to look at the activities pages.

You are welcome. I was wondering how it was you weren't able to see it listed.

In the past, we were able to click on cruise activities even when not paid in full, but I as well can't see the cruise activities so don't see the Pirate night info. Did you pay in full? Maybe once you pay in full it allows you?

Yes, I am now PIF.

This year so far has been expensive. I had to pay for the Alaska part of the back to back and my annual dues for DVC (can't pay monthly as I am in the UK) so I am waiting for next pay day to pay for this. We are doing our own thing in all the ports so we don't have to worry to be locked out of an excursion we want. I would love to book a Palo Brunch for this cruise, too, but if this does not work out, it is not a big deal either as we have both Brunch and dinner booked for the Alaska cruise.

Good Morning everyone

My husband found this cruise recently and we are looking into diving in.
Have you all had your PIF date already?

I am trying to figure out what staterooms are still available.
