This is the last trip the 4 of us ever take to WDW. Nov 2-12 *FinalUpdate 3/19* Pg.59

I see no grays... must be the hat. :)
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Could be. Melody was just commenting on my gray eyebrow hair yesterday. :faint:

The one bad thing about Beaches and Cream, so small and a long wait if you hit it wrong.
Well we are 0-2. Not that we were trying to eat there last time... :scratchin

You probably were not up for a table service but CAtains grille over at the Yachy club usually has room for a walk up. Really nice place and usully pretty quiet.
Thanks for the tip. At that point we were just looking for something fast.

I don't know much about the Yacht club. :rolleyes2

On the Boardwalk the pizza window is another choice with pretty good pizza, well at least it used dto have not eaten there in a while.

That is the one drawback to the Boardwalk area, very hard to grab and go something good and quick.
We weren't overly hungry so it was fine just eating something quick.

Love to see Christophers cheesy smile and that everyone enjoyed Tusker House.
Tusker was really great. I'd go back there for breakfast anytime. :goodvibes

Way to go for the stealth FP at the safari. :thumbsup2

Thanks!!! :moped:

Clearly I'm a terrible DISer...I didn't know you started this TR!

I can't believe how much Juliana has grown! It makes me feel old

Joining in for the rest!

Caught up again!

We did Tusker House on our trip in October and waited foreverrrrrrrr and then that line with Donald - ugh! But, we too had a great meal and a fantastic server, that helped make up for it all before we got into the restaurant.

Nice move on sneaking out for a FP! :thumbsup2

Sorry I've been MIA but we had a crazy weekend with the blizzard. We ended up with over 30'' of snow in our town. Here are a few pictures of the snow.

I would have died shoveling if it wasn't for my neighbors that came over with their snow blowers.

The 1 lane road on my street.

From the side of the road where my mailbox is to the 'new' road is about 10-15 feet. I doubt I'll be getting mail for a few weeks.

They canceled school again tomorrow. Some of the cities around us still have roads that aren't plowed yet. We are supposed to have freezing rain tomorrow morning then rain. It is gonna be a mess out there because all the storm drains are covered. I am thankful that we never lost power.

Hopefully I'll be back with an update soon.

After seeing all the snow from this weekend, I've cemented the fact that moving to Florida was the best decision we have ever made!

Back in'96 we lived in Allentown, PA and I remember we had a snowstorm dump over 36" of snow. We were helping my dad shovel the deck so it wouldn't collapse under the weight. Then I had the bright idea to jump off the deck into the snow (with my younger brother). And we sank. And were stuck. Not the best idea.

No worries! Nice to have you!

Makes YOU feel old? How do you think I feel?

It's not that bad... except for the shoveling. :scared:

I know you got out eventually... or how else would you be typing this?

Caught up again!
Hey there Brook! :wave2:

We did Tusker House on our trip in October and waited foreverrrrrrrr and then that line with Donald - ugh! But, we too had a great meal and a fantastic server, that helped make up for it all before we got into the restaurant.
The line was crazy. You are right about waiting for Donald too. Why doesn't he just walk around the restaurant? :confused3

Nice move on sneaking out for a FP! :thumbsup2
That is a veteran DISer move. :rotfl2:

Looks pretty but makes me very happy I live in the South although there are time I miss it., but not many. :-)

Hey Tim,

We're here in Wethersfield and we had pretty much the same snow experience!:sad2: We had a relative come yesterday and help us dig out of our 30" with his snowblower otherwise we would still be out there! Did you hear Bob Maxon say more snow on Thursday!?! Me thinks its time to move south :beach:

Oh and I am thoroughly enjoying both of your TRs. :thumbsup2 The kids are adorbs!

Enjoy that warm weather you are getting!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We might get more snow on Wednesday night. This is New England and people should be used to it by now. :goodvibes

Hey Kelly! Thanks for reading!

My back is killing me. If I didn't get help I would still be out there too. :sad2:

I have on the news right now... looks like it is a 50/50 chance for Wednesday night/Thursday morning. If that happens, these kids are going to be going to school through July. :headache:

We got spared the snow this time. We got about an inch and then it rained/melted and is basically gone.

Your kids look like they're having a blast in it though...you need a snowfall like that every so often!

Glad to hear you survived the storm! I was also lucky and did not lose power. However the storm put Murphy's Law into overdrive for me yesterday. My friends was supposed to come in Saturday for my bday, then she changed her flight to yesterday, she made it to Baltimore and her flight to Boston was cancelled! My street is pretty much a one way at this point and my neighbor decided to park his GINOURMOUS pickup truck in the street dispite the parking ban so I had to wake up him up at 7 am to move it. He wasn't happy I made him move it, but not my fault I live at the very end of a dead end and he parks like a loonatic! I did however enjoy the actual storm once I was home for the day on Friday.

I do enjoy it. As I sit here now it's 63 going up to 68 today. I have though about moving back up North, but I have been in the South since Aug. of 1970 so my blood is to thin. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Woth2982 can't say I blame you with the neighbor. If ya can't follow the rules you get woken up.

oh my that's a lot of snow! very pretty though!
the kids look like they had fun! nice your neighbors helped out with the snowblowers and saved your back some pain :thumbsup2
hope the rain/ice mix doesn't bring down any trees in the area and make a bigger mess for you all.

WOW WOW WOW! That is a lot of snow. That beats our 27 inches a couple of years ago and I know how awful that was. With all the snow you get, you don't have your own snowblower? I think it is time you invest in one.

Love the pictures of the kids...but they are growing way too fast for my liking. Tell them to stop right now. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Life has gotten (mostly) back to normal. Juliana went to school for the first time today since Thursday. The snow they were calling for tonight looks like it won't be more than a dusting or an inch.

Even after 50 degrees and rain on Monday, we still have 2 ft on the ground. :lmao:

I'll take 15-20 inches. This was crazy!

Sorry you couldn't celebrate your birthday the way you wanted. One good thing was you didn't have to share your drinks with anyone! :lmao:

It was nice of you to ask your neighbor to move it instead of calling a tow truck. ;)

68? Must be nice! I think you are doing the right thing by staying in the south. ::yes::

Luckily there was no snow on trees since it the 60mph winds blew it all out of there! :rotfl2:

Mel's dad used to plow us but he got rid of his plow truck last year. Last winter wasn't bad at all and I never bought one. Looks like I'll be buying one this summer. :faint:

They are growing fast. Way too fast. :faint::faint:

We had just finished up eating breakfast at Tusker House and I had safari FPs in my pocket that we couldn't use till 10am. The girls needed to use the bathroom and Christopher needed a diaper change. We only had 15 minutes to kill before our window opened up. I'm glad I had FPs cuz the crowds we out in full force.

DSC05445.jpg

We shopped in a few stores. My mom bought Melody a cool Mickey head shirt and Juliana scored some animal print Mickey ears.

DSC05446.jpg

We parked the stroller and walked over to the FP return right at 10. The safari was already a 40 minute wait. It feels weird walking past all those poor saps in line. I try not to make any eye contact with them.

DSC05447.jpg

It didn't take long before we weren't on a safari trying to stop poachers.

Ut-Oh. We'd better brace ourselves. I see a bumpy ride in our future.

DSC05461_zps60fe2ef9.jpg

I must say the animals were out in full force. I hope you are ready for numerous Kilimanjaro Safari pictures. It wouldn't be a complete trip report without them!

I was hoping none of those people on the tour lost their footing... those gators (or are they crocs) looked mighty hungry.

DSC05457_zps649c7a89.jpg

DSC05458_zps84205e81.jpg

We made it to the savanna, and there were quite a few giraffes walking right up to the trucks.

Christopher wasn't all that impressed.

DSC05474_zpsaf34690a.jpg

Actually, he was being pretty fussy. I think he was just overtired. He calmed down pretty quickly though.

The lioness was looking around checking out our truck. I wonder if she was hungry.

The lion on the other hand...

DSC05491_zps8732f211.jpg

was passed out! I know you are all shocked!

A warthog was sticking his head out of his burrow.

We evan saw a gorilla at the end

DSC05499_zpsc52f4835.jpg

DSC05500_zps0236c803.jpg

Not sure what he was doing... probably just wondering what everyone was staring at.

Up next... more animals. More AK.

Luvin the update. Poor Christopher doesn't look to happy on that safari at Tusker house however he looks like he was luvin those characters :thumbsup2 another one converted to a Disney fan yay :cheer2: I love his little screwed up face in the pic with Daisy :goodvibes I love Ana's mouse ears as well :)

great photos of all the animals! cool you saw a gorilla too!
sorry Christopher didn't enjoy the whole safari. Ana looks very cute in her new ears!

FYI - for the people looking at the crocs...they are strapped in with a "monkey tail" attached to their vests....we took the tour on Megan's bday trip and were attached many times for safety!

That is one heck of a lot of snow!!!

Love the safari. We saw lots of animals out too. Poor Christopher. that poor guy probably had no clue what the heck was going on being dragged all over the place with real and fake animals all over the place, but I am sure he had a good time too. ;)
