Pandora is great. You can create a station based on a few of your favorite bands and then adjust to exclude anything you hear that you don't like. It can be an amazing musical journey. I've find artists I would never have otherwise discovered.

Download the app shazam. Whenever you heard a song somewhere you like you hit the app - it will " tag" it- that is it will tell you what song it is and safe a list of the songs you tag to look at later. I find lots of new songs this way . It even works on songs playing on tv shows or movies.

I listen to a local independent radio station, here in Nashville, WRLT Lightning 100. You can listen to them online at http://lightning100.com/ They play a lot of new music. I may not like everything they play but you here new music here before it makes it to mainstream radio.

Problem with the radio it does not play on the iPad unless connected to the Internet and you are not on our lovely bus system

I use Pandora and iHeartradio. Also Sirius XM.

I listen to mostly alternative rock so I find most of my new music on Altnation on Sirius.

But, lately I listen to a lot of the music my DD(15) turned me on to. Bands like My Chemical Romance, Falling in Reverse, The Used, Sleeping With Sirens, All Time Low. But something tells me those aren't the types of bands you are looking for ;)

Have you listened to:
The Script
The Fray
Mumford & Sons
The Lumineers
Imagine Dragons
Atlas Genius
Young The Giant
Walk The Moon

Those are some of my favorites.

And I always have on my playlist my all time favorites like Depeche Mode, U2, Cold Play, Linkin Park, and Blink 182.

DH & I saw them in concert last year and they were amazing live! How To Save A Life is one of my favorites too!

You would certainly like The Script! Oh and how about Train and Gavin Degraw?

Desnik -- LOVE your taste in music. In 2011, I took the VH1 cruise and got to see (and meet) The Script (along with Lifehouse, Train, and a few other of that genre). My sis and I have been following Train for years, like the new stuff MUCH LESS than their older music. My sister got to sing with them onstage last year, which was very cool. As for The Script, Danny is yummy and SO talented, we laughed at him on the cruise cuz he seemed to be in a bromance with Jason Wade from Train. If you like Christian rock, I recommend needtobreathe and Ben Rector. The Avett Brothers are amazing too. There is no end to great music. Phillip Phillips from American Idol has a great CD. I could go on and on ...
