Thanks for this piece of advice; however, I have gone over the amounts/offerings very closely. I think it works for us because the 7 YO does mainly eat the childlike offerings like the pb and j and mac and cheese. Also the 10 year old will eat adult portions like my husband and I. The baby eats whatever we eat so he is fine eating off our plates. I have scoured menus and already know what I want lol. I have found that using the desserts in place of a snack (as we would likely use two snacks per person a day), we could honestly save 50-100 (depending if everyone else orders high like me
)if we use desserts as snacks.
Also, depending on how big portions are on snacks we may not even use two a day. As I normally split with my kids.
