We've used TurboTax for the last ten years and so far, everything has gone smoothly.

That's what I used. :goodvibes. logged on and did our taxes tonight, just to get it over with. Pretty easy! Within a half hour of submitting it, I got confirmation that it had been accepted and I should be receiving payment by 2/25. :thumbsup2

This may sound like crazy but how do you check when the refund is supposed to be in?
We did our taxes and I am anxiously waiting for it to be in so I can officially book our trip( driving me nuts Bc I need to make adrs!! Lol)
They said it could take up to 21 days but is love to see a date when it should be deposited:)
Thank you!

You can make ADRs anytime within 180 days with or without a hotel reservation, as long as you have a general idea of when you're going. I made all mine weeks ago, and we just booked our hotel last week. It does sting a bit if you have to cancel, but most of them, at most, only take a credit card guarantee, and all the pre-pay ones are refundable up to 24 hours out. We didn't have any prepay ones this time, but we did for the trip I had planned for January, and had to cancel. The refund was in my bank account within a few days. If you're planning on the dining plan, you'll only be able to get them to indicate that you're paying with credits on pre-paid ones if you've already booked, but we don't use the dining plan.

Someone earlier said the cheer/dance competitions were only an issue if the participants are staying at your resort. Which resorts do they usually stay at? I'm thinking AoA is probably safe, but just curious. :cheer2:
Usually, they stay at the All-Stars.

This:http://usasf.net.ismmedia.com/ISM2//Worlds/2013/Docs/Worlds_2013_Cheer_Packet.pdf
indicates that they have the option of staying at either Disney's All-Stars resort, or Caribbean Beach Resort for April this year.
It's possible that they could end up overflowing elsewhere, but I think they usually stick to those 4 resorts pretty well.

Thanks!

They're going to be at Epcot the same day we plan to go. Sigh. :sad2: Hopefully it's not too insane. I didn't deal with teenage girls well when I was one! :lmao:

Ah, well. We'll roll with it. :thumbsup2

For those that won't have your refund by the 45 day mark.... why don't you pay with a credit card and then pay off the credit card within the 30 day grace period before charges accrue?

I always pay with a credit card so that I can get points.

I have no credit cards. Paid them off and cut them up years ago. No Credit cards, no car payments. I just couldn't handle the stress. I did think for a minute about opening a Disney Visa Rewards card just to do that, but I lack the self control to cancel the card after and not turn around and go right back to Disney. Lol

Just wanted to let you all know that I will be away for a few days and won't be able to make any updates to the first post, ADR post, and PreTrip Report post. Hopefully on Saturday I'll be able to get everything caught up. :wave2:

Southwest just posted really good fares. We booked our flight yesterday from Nashville. I know there's a lot of airfare anxiety, so go get 'em!

64 more days........:crazy2::hourglass

as much as I love the months of planning and the excitement of 180 days, etc., there's something to be said for short-notice trips. Last year I booked I think early march for our mid-April trip and although it was stressful figuring out my park and dining plans, at least I didn't have to suffer through months and months (ok, more like a year, Lol) of this torture.

I agree......this is absolute torture.
By the way there is a Groupon out for 40% off para-sailing at the Contemporary making it 57 for one person and 102 for a tandem..

WOOHOO! I just saved 17,720 Southwest points by rebooking my flights at lower point costs! Now our family of 5 is flying round trip for 74,580 points! :cool1:

Thanks for the heads-up - I went ahead and booked us a later flight home on the 26th :cool1: We were initially leaving at 8am, now we won't have to leave until 6:30pm! Our original flight was on United, not sure if we can get any credit for that flight to use later, but oh well. We had enough RR points on SW to book these at no OOP cost for myself and the kids (DH doesn't fly SW as often so I had to buy his, but it was only $150, not bad for an extra 10 hours at Disney)

Just hope it's okay with DH, I suppose I should have cleared it with him first :rotfl2: Unfortunately he is out of town at the moment, and I didn't want to the good fares to get away. On our previous plans, he would have been able to go into work Friday afternoon, now we won't get back until late. I guess if he says no, I can probably cancel and get the points back.

awesome. Just checked my flight down, it's 25,000/pp. Can't remember how many points I originally paid, have to look into that.....

ETA: whelp, looks like I paid 21,000/pp so no refund for me!

I will join you:cool1::dance3::yay::woohoo::cheer2::dancer: We are offically PAID IN FULL as of today also.

Congratulations!!! I won't be paid in full until right before my deadline.

We were going to rent a van to drive down to Orlando from North Georgia, however, after pricing Southwest flights, we've decided to fly.:cool1:
