SMASH thread!

That's what I thought. It states feb 5th for a two hour premiere but I went on the website and watched what looks like the first 44 minutes of the first episode (at least I think).

44 minutes is the whole episode...the other minutes will be commercial time during the broadcast. Then they are also going to show a second episode back to back on premiere night.

Me too! I ended up not watching the first episode online because I wanted to see it play out all at once.

Feels like it has been forever since the last episode aired.

We were in Universal last October and were recruited to do an evaluation for this show. I had never heard of it, but heck $30 would almost pay for lunch :)

We watched stills and video clips and gave our opinions on various stuff. So if you like it tonight, you're welcome!

Who else is ready for the two-hour premiere tonight? :yay:
Can't wait even though I did watch the first half On Demand already!

I'm ready! I've already seen the first 44 min or so via the internet though.

ok..I won the TV! Let's see, not sure what I think on the "angleic" Ivy...kinda liked her better last season. It's like she and Karen switched Diva personalities. Derrick, he's just fun no matter what, but another one who they took from top of the ladder to bottom. Where is the middle ground? Speaking of that they dumped Julia's family PDQ , didn't they? Eileen needs a new hair stylist-yawn-, Tom, ever the bestie(the scarf thing was sort of funny, I guess)...I like that they are showing Karen with a roommate and branching out a smidge.Jennifer Hudson was ok, glad they kept that to a minimum for now but I like her character. Now, the new guys? The brothers writing the musical?mmmmmaybe it will pick up speed. Overall I liked it, LOVED Ivy's song at the event, she k-i-l--l-e-d it. She actually looks different to me this season, physically...more natural makeup maybe, less harsh eyes? I am hoping Bernadette Peters returns soon, and can't wait to see Sean Hayes!( I read he and Debra Messing didn't get to see each other at all during filming, she was bummed)and Liza Minelli is a guest star?!?!?! This could get fun!:thumbsup2

I'm not going to analyze anything, I just love this show! :cool1:

It's so bad and yet it's so good. :lmao: I see I probably still will be having my love-hate relationship with the show this season.

That was an interesting article. Thanks! I am looking forward to the other musicals in the show.

I love SMASH. I don't care if the new season turns out to be cheesy and unrealistic (again), I will watch every single minute!

I loved Ivy's last song "They Just Keep Moving the Line". What a showstopper!!
