Good morning everyone!

Unfortunately I still don't have any new updates to share with you.
So we will continue to appreciate and celebrate our entire January team for their outstanding efforts.

But this morning I would like to specially recognize...

"While the food was good, the restaurant itself was too crowded and they weren't replenishing the food very quickly. But Carys loved meeting the characters so it was all worth it!"

I started out on the first page a couple weeks ago and now have a huge wishlist of food to try on our next trip!:thumbsup2

I'm game for sending in updates if you'd like. We'll be there from April 3-10.

It appears we were really spoiled by that January team!! I'm missing my fix! 19 more days and I will do my part!!

I've got great news! :woohoo: Ginamarie has come to our rescue and sent us the last two updates from her trip, which ended yesterday. I'll go ahead and post one of those now and save the other for tonight, just in case we don't receive any others today. ;)

Ginamarie and her DSis had dinner on Sunday night at Fort Wilderness'...

I've never been to Trail's End and I don't even think I've ever seen pics of it either. That was awesome!! The food looks yummy. And that's probably the cleanest buffet area I have ever seen! Thanks for that update, Ginamarie!!

I would highly recommend Trails End- they are sure to have something everyone will like, whether you want a nice salad (lots of choices), fried chicken, roast chicken, ribs, brisket.. The list goes on and on, it's not the fanciest food, but there's a great variety and its not crowded.

Looked great. Do you remember if they had chicken breasts or was it just the limbs? lol And did you notice a children's section with maybe chicken nuggets or fries? (picky kids)

Just as I had feared, I have not heard from any of the 5 volunteers who are currently at Disney World. :confused3

But I do still have Ginamarie's final update to share with you and it's a great one. :thumbsup2

Yesterday Ginamarie had

"Lunch with an Imagineer"

"We were each presented with a personalized menu - the appetizer and salad courses were pre-selected, but entrees choices were filet, Asian chicken noodle bowl, or seafood cioppino."

"I was afraid I might not like the jalapeno, but it was just an undertone. A very nice soup."

Our Famous Cobb Salad with finely chopped greens, turkey breast, egg, bacon, crumbled bleu cheese, avocado, chives and Cobb dressing (no tomatoes)

"The best salad on property IMO. I ate every morsel."

Charred-glazed Filet of Beef with a red wine reduction, topped with a cabernet and roasted shallot butter, over white truffle oil wild forest mushroom mashed potato, sauteed hericot verts (green beans)

"This was really good, but the steak was overcooked for medium."

Grapefruit Cake - Light Layers of Yellow Cake with fresh Grapefruit-Cream Cheese Icing

"It was ok. I was disappointed in the dessert choices because neither was something I'd pick off a menu. The other choice was a crème brulee (too sweet for me). The grapefruit cake was kind of tasteless. It was moist but needed more flavor."

"Overall though, it was a great experience. The Imagineer was interesting and engaging and I'm glad I did it." :thumbsup2

Ooooh, something new. I've been curious about this experience. That salad looked amazing. I have never eaten here even for a regular meal. Very nice review!

I loved seeing the "Lunch with an Imagineer" review. It is something that I've wanted to do myself for a while.

My updates will start bright and early on Saturday morning! We are flying the red eye and land at 5:30 a.m. As soon as we check into the Boardwalk the food fest will begin! I cannot wait. :woohoo:

Loved the "Lunch with an Imagineer" update! That might be something DH & I could look into for our Anniversary trip next summer.

Trails End looks quite yummy!

We really liked Trail's End, too. It's a hidden treasure. The boat ride from their to the Magic Kingdom was one of our favorite transportation moments.

Love the updates. Thinking of doing the Dine with an Imagineer with Andrew in August.

And Trails End is one place I have talked about for several trips and just never made it happen. Adding that to the August list now. (If I make any more changes to the March trip, Andrew's head will explode! :scared1: :rotfl:)

Good morning everyone! :wave2:

I received an update last night from elleavon! :cool1:

She had just finished having dinner at AKL's...

elleavon said, "I was pretty cautious, not having any idea what I was eating. Everything turned out to be pretty good. My favorite was the carved sirloin with 4 dipping sauces. None of them was too hot for me, and I'm kind of wimpy when it comes to spicy food." :thumbsup2
