A Magical 4 night Cruise- 4/12/2013

I see lots of little ones coming, looking for some older kids who might be coming as well. We are bringing 3 12yos and 2 14yos, and they would love some company!

Also, how do we get involved in the FE?

Welcome angmpenning :welcome:

Are your 12 yos boys or girls? I have a 12 yo son who will be on the cruise with us.

If you want to be a part of the FE, then post it on here and you should get added to the list that is on the first part of this thread. I believe I read that someone was going to head this up by setting up a Google document (or something like that) where we could all go in and add our information.

I believe the first 4-night comes back to Galveston today. Right? It's super foggy in Houston today so I wouldn't be surprised if they are delayed  but I can't wait to see the Navigators!! :yay: So excited...wish it was April 12 already!

I'm hunting down my next door neighbor who comes home today!! I want to see those navigators ASAP!
If she shares... I'll share here :) :yay:

Is she back, is she back!? :rotfl2: Anxiously waiting to hear any reports :cheer2:

Hi I am back from the 4 day. Yes we had a huge fog delay coming into Galveston today. We got out of the parking lot at 1:22 pm. Huge delay. Great cruise. Will post more later. Exhausted. Sherry

Welcome home. Cant wait to hear all about it!!

I will start with embarkation. It went very smoothly. We live in Houston so it was easy getting to port. We choose Ez parking and it went well. They should have discounts for when you make your parking reservations.

Do make sure you register your kids for the kids clubs online before you get there. I couldn't remember and that line was long and slow. You can get your kids wrist bands on the boat.

Minnie was available for pics right after we went thru the registration line. There was absolutely no line. We walked up , took pics and got on the boat. :cool1: Sherry

Hi Sherry! So good to hear that embarkation went smoothly. If you don't mind me asking, what was your port arrival time?

Our port arrival time was 11:30 to 12:00. We arrived on time for that.

As we got on the ship we were greeted by Austin and he mentioned several places to have lunch since our staterooms were not ready until around 1:30. We headed up to Deck 9 for a buffet, the girls loved it. I packed waffle cones in my carry on and they had ice cream in the waffle cones. I also carried their swim suits on and the girls changed into swim suits and hopped in the Mickey pool. They swam and had so much fun on the slide. Sherry

We had late seating. My dining rotation was parrot Cay, Lumiere's , Lumiere's,and Animators. I had called ahead to Disney to request Lumiere's twice since it is my favorite restaurant on the Magic. :yay: Sherry

I don' want to spoil anything else for anyone who loves surprises. Our navigators are posted on our disboards for the Febr 1 cruise. If you have any questions pm me. It was such an incredible time.

Everything was first class Disney as always.

Moms of little girls, be warned, the Princess picture lines were very very very long. Get there early. They cut off the lines. Sherry

I want to get the chance to be in all the restaurants but want to be at palo too.
Thanks for the tips!

On our last cruise I went to stand in line about an hour before the princesses came out. I was about the fifth person in line and none of us had kids with us :lmao:. I left DD with DH and they showed up just before the princesses came out. That way I didn't have to hear DD complain about the long wait.

Also remember to have an autograph book with you. We didn't, but I was able to buy one from the table of items they brought out before the princesses came out. I would have preferred a different book, but at that point I was glad to have something.

Such great tips!! Thank you, thank you!!

My DD LOVES the Princesses (Belle, Cinderella and Tiana to be exact) so I know the Princess pics will be a must-do... but there is no way I'm going to be able to keep a three year old still for that long :confused3 I thought I read somewhere that they give you two way radios onboard? Is that truth or a fable?

Off to find the Navigators....

Yes , the wave phones work great. Dave and I both had one because we were rarely in the same place together. The kids club would text us if the girls wanted to come out and both of us would show up to get them. :wizard: Sherry

Our Fe on the Febr 1st cruise went great. We had a cut off date of one month before sailing. Four more families asked to be included after the cut off date. There were about seven of us who could accommodate them. So I ended up with 30 staterooms to deliver to. We got great gifts and the girls loved checking the pockets every time we came back to the stateroom.:cool1: Sherry
