~Yes!!! Great job, Disney needs to put you on the payroll. I like this way better than Star Wars land & especially Cars land! OMG, just give me Sugar Rush, please!!! I loved the movie, but it seems a little underrated. :( With that said, I hope Wreck It Ralph wins the Oscar for Best Animated film and I'm also cheering for Paperman, too! We'll see! :goodvibes

This is such a great idea if Wreck it Ralph wins the Oscar for best animated film then Disney might seriously take consideration in to something similar to your idea. Great Job!!!

All depends on the staying power of the wreck it Ralph franchise.... Disney wouldn't invest in something that won't be anything more than an afterthought 3 years from now

That's very clever. Points for originality.

But personally I can't see Disney committing a billion dollars to theme park additions for a film that only grossed $360 million worldwide.

I do like this better than Cars Land at DHS, though. :thumbsup2

Remember Lilo & Stitch?

If Disney wants something to be successful they'll make it so with a barrage of straight-to-home sequels, merchandise, and network TV shows.

I'm a big fan of Wreck-It Ralph and love the ideas here, though I wouldn't agree with a whole land devoted to it. An attraction, however, is an awesome idea! :thumbsup2

Yeah that's all I mean. I wouldn't give that movie a full land, a ride or attraction is good tho

IMHO, it's probably going to go to Brave because the voice actors for Brave are usually held in higher regard than those of Wreck it Ralph by their peers (not saying it's right but that is the little "popularity contest" formula I have noticed for the Oscars).

Even though I personally loved Wreck-it Ralph as a gamer for life, I think Brave should and will win the best animated film.

As for the ideas I love them all, just never think they'll do anything on that scale for a movie that had very little impact compared to some of their other franchises. A single attraction would be awesome, but even that seems unlikely. I could see them setting up a large arcade perhaps with all the games featured in wreck it ralph, perhaps as the exit to a new cars ride, sorta like the one near Space Mountain.

~I know. :( I have a bad feeling that Brave is going to win, too -- especially since it beat Ralph for the Golden Globe. Brave was breathtakingly beautiful but the story was so lame! I loved Wrecked It Ralph & I thought the story was awesome! I can usually predict the ending of most films within the first few minutes, but I was totally blindsided with Wreck It Ralph, lol! :rotfl:

~Also, I thought Paperman would be a shoe-in for Best Animated Short, but now I see it's up against The Simpson's short (Disney vs Universal, lol). So we'll see! :goodvibes

Brave was a terrible beautiful movie. The animation was excellent, but the movie was horrible. Merida is awful. There is no point to her being brave. The archery and horse back riding never pays off. The first act was ok, the second and third were horrible. Most unlikeable princess ever. Frankly, Merida turns out to pretty cowardly and not brave at all.

It's also unnecessarily scary. Pixar dropped the ball. They should stick to boys movies and let Disney animation handle the princesses. Disney bought marvel, Pixar and Star Wars because they are best at girls movies and couldn't figure out a boy movie.

Doubtful... THink of all the movies that won that Oscar and don't have entire LANDS dedicated to them. Wreck it Ralph doesn't have the box office success for that, IMHO. Attraction, maybe. Land... no way.

Great 21st century thinking here...

I think we'd be more apt to see a Phineas and Ferb attraction or land before Wreck it Ralph, especially with the upcoming movie.

So What, Wreck-It Ralph, recieves a Critical and Commercial Success, also announcing a Sequel!

While this is a great idea..... and I don't want to burst anyone's bubble. Do you realize how much it would cost Disney to license all those franchises and characters for use in the parks "forever". It would cost millions if not billions in licensing fees to companies like Nintendo, Sega, Wonka Chocolates etc..... and while it would be a great thing for everyone that loved the movie, I just don't see the financial sense in it and unfortunately that's the first question a Disney executive is going to ask when presented with an idea.... "How Much will it cost?"

Maybe...maybe not. A lot of factors would come into play including the exact role that specific characters would pay and the inherent benefit to having one's IP displayed (promoted) for years to come in a Disney theme park. Disney could also offer retail space as part of any deal.

The Wreck It Ralph photo area at Hollywood Studios is themed to Game Central Station and there's a scrolling marquee which references dozens of video games & characters. Apparently there weren't any sticky licensing issues which prevented that from happening.

The core Wreck it Ralph characters are all owned by Disney. The others are just window dressing. If some companies' demands are too high for the likes of Sonic, Pac Man or Q-Bert, those characters can be selectively excluded.
