When will Bvw pool rehab be done? Heard bakery being rehabbed too...any idea when that will be done? Any other rehabs over that way? We leave for a week at BWV on March 30....

Yes, we have gotten a full balcony every time but once.

Thanks!

My only requests are a balcony and a view of something OTHER than the parking lot.

Does everyone think that is doable with a standard view booked? Our dates are April 21-26.

thanks

This is the expectation (from the www.wdwinfo.com rehab page):

BoardWalk Bakery expansion - BoardWalk Bakery will be closed during this work. A coffee cart will be available on the boardwalk area during this time. Closed 01/02/13 - 04/12/13. Luna Park Pool refurbishment - Guests may use the other leisure pools located next to Community Hall or on the Inn side. Closed 1/28/2013- 3/1/2013

There are some earlier posts in this thread with photos of the temporary coffee cart (it's more extensive than it sounds) and progress on the bakery construction.

Got my ME package in the mail! I'm 50 years old and that piece of mail had me grinning from ear to ear. DH and DD laughed at me, but they're glad I have a healthy obsession. So excited to be staying at BWI in just a little more than a month.

(Also, addicted to this thread. :worship: WDWKOOK)

Help me please...I just found out that I am going to BWV in October! YEAH! I am staying on points...what I am dreaming of is a view of Spaceship Earth with possibly some fireworks :) I know, but as long as I am dreaming! I am staying in a preferred view studio...does anyone have some room number suggestions I can request...and can I call and put in my requests? Or does the DVC member need to do that. I have only stayed one other time, in March 2011 - I turned *gulp* 40 in Disney :) and I stayed at OKW on points. I called the resort and requested which buildings I preferred then. I wasn't sure of anything had changed or if BWV was different...let the dreaming and planning begin!! :cloud9:

Are you renting points or are you the member? If you're the member, you can call Member Services with your request. Otherwise, if you're renting, the member would have to do it for you or as Deb & Bill said, there are basic requests in the online checkin, but probability not good enough for what you want. In your category, I would request "Village Green, high floor." That would be your best bet for the view you want. Good luck!

Are boardwalk facing rooms loud at night? Will I hear voices and constant noise? I love the idea of the view but would also like to actually get done sleep..

I'm a light sleeper and they did keep me awake :(

Edit: forgot to say we were on the second floor, right over the DVC sale house, we found that after the clubs had closed people would stop and sit on the seats outside the Big River Grille for a chat, if they'd had a few drinks earlier they could get very loud.

WDWKOOK!!! I didn't realize the BW thread was yours too!! I just rented points for a 1BR Boardwalk View for 4/21-15 to celebrate my dear friend's 50th birthday. I've never stayed at BWV before & am SUPER excited! I can't wait to go read this thread from start to finish.

Yay I'm staying at 2 of "your" resorts this spring! :cool1:

Should have added that we usually stay in a deluxe room so like the above post said it is guaranteed a BW view. We have stayed every year at BW CL since 2005 so a couple of times when we have not stayed in a deluxe room we requested a BW fiew. You know what though. If we did not get it, the Boardwalk is just a few steps away:cloud9:

With all your stays at BW deluxe CL, I'm wondering what your room location preference is?

We are staying first time BW in June and will be in a deluxe room. I'm thinking 4th floor based on some other posts about having to walk up a back flight of stairs from the 3rd floor to get to the lounge. We have stayed WL CL deluxe room and those are all scattered thru out the resort and you have to walk a long hall then elevator to the lounge.

Where are the deluxe rooms located on the 4th floor compared to the lounge?

Thanks so much in advance. Steph

We stayed in the deluxe room cl and I was worried also as I have babies but never heard anything once the door was closed and the drapes were shut.

We were on the 4th floor deluxe room and was def happy we did not have to take an elevator back and forth to the lounge. with 5 on the 4th and 3 on the 3rd I was nervous we would be put on the 3rd but werent. the larger balcony would have been nice though on the 3rd flr

I didn't think the bakery was opening until AFTER our April 21-26 trip. I am so excited if it's slated to open 4/12!!!

Nope - now I can cross it off the list! I've stayed in the Epcot Area Resorts many times, but this is the 1st time At BWV. Can't wait!

April 23-28 here! 2nd time at BWV, but first time with a boardwalk view. and we requested a high floor, since we don't have to worry about a quick escape to the DSA anymore. 2 years smoke free!:cool1:
(hey, we can afford disney or smoking, not both. isn't that a great incentive?)

Congrats on 2 years smoke free that's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WDWKook is there a list of people going on this thread like on the WL one??

I don't know anything about views. We also have a BW view...I better finish reading the thread! I don't care where I am, anything is better than being at home!
