I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

Thanks Elena and Pat.:grouphug:
I was over visiting with my friend today after school. Her family has a trip to Disney planned in just a week and a half. She told me that although she had no interest in going that the trip was still on. They have two other boys and they are going to try to press on and make life as normal as possible for them. She is needing to see about changing their reservation since their number of travelers has changed and they have park tickets and rooms all together. The problem is, I'm not sure if she is up to making that phone call. I just don't think she is able to speak the words that need to be spoken....
I hope there is some way that I can make the call for her.

That would be a hard call to make...my heart aches for them.

I hope everyone has plans for a fun weekend! I'm headed to IL to see my nieces so that will be fun.

And...now I can say...this month I am going to Disney!! :)

Happy Friday!! My alarm went off this morning with "Can You Feel The love Tonight".:goodvibes I just layed there & listened. Great way to wake up!!

Very nice! I love to hear my ring tones when my kids call - Jill is Small World, Trent is You've Got a Friend in Me, and Drew is I Wanna Be Like You. I like to hear it when it's not my kids, too - it's SpectroMagic. :wizard:

I was going to say the same thing!! We've had strange weather over the last few days. It went from temps in the teens to 50 degrees and super windy. The winds died down last night & the cold returned.

T.G.I. Friday!!

Yes, we have been up and down, too. We've also had the constant winds. Still, we are much better off than people up north, so I will gladly take my crazy Mid Tenn weather.

We got a black ice day! There was maybe half inch of snow, but the winds and cold temps were freezing bridges, so we got a free day!

Just so sad. I'm glad she has friends like you to lean on. I can't and honestly don't want to ever imagine what they are going through. I look at my kids and know I am blessed everyday to have them safe and sound. Prayers for this family and all the family and friends that have been mentioned here.

Thanks Memom for continuing to bring happiness!

Spring is around the corner and I think we all could use it. Spring always means to me hope and light and happiness ( and a really busy schedule lol)

We are, indeed, blessed. I can't wait to hug my girls again tomorrow morning!

I'll sure continue to try on that happiness thing. :thumbsup2

I'm telling you, when I get off the plane in Orlando and see and feel the sunshine even inside the airport, I come to life. :)

And I have just switched over to "I'm going to Disney World next month!" :cool1:

Have a fun and safe weekend, Katie!

Dress warm...it is freezing here in Illinois.

I think most of the east is! I think you have to get pretty far down south right now to get some decent temperatures on this side of the country. It is 61 and sunny in Disney World, and in the low 50's even in southern Georgia. I am staying warm inside right now, but I need to venture out to the grocery store at some point.

Well, well, well....

we got a snow day!

We only had about half an inch of snow, but with the cold temperatures and winds, they said there were a lot of icy bridges, so they called us out. :woohoo:

************************************************

So, I guess you've kept warm this past day and a half with your continuous dancing on the Boardwalk lawn.

Let's take a break and go inside for a while.

I need to crop the lady's backside out of this one.

I still have not explored all of this resort. I hope to roam around a little more on our first Epcot day (arrival day) in March. The plan is to go straight to Epcot when we check in, and then on the way back 'home' in the evening, walk over to Boardwalk first and explore a little more.

Then it was back to Beach Club for us. We had never eaten here,

so it was time to mark another Disney eatery off of our list.

Brooklynn chose a hot dog, and I got a gigantic hamburger.

We found a table along the sidewalk (very close to the wrecked ship) and enjoyed our meal as we watched fireworks.

When Anita, Marc, and Baylor came back from Epcot, Anita, Baylor and Brooklynn went up in the ship to watch.

Marc and I took the lazy way out and were satisfied to see what we could from where we were.

It was so nice to be sitting there in this lovely place enjoying fireworks and the company of good friends.

And speaking of friends, guess who else came along to join us?

Connor and Chelsea and their sweet Mom.

EndofSummer2012WDW473.jpg

Well, Sweet Mom isn't in that picture. She's coming up in a second.

And Gavin and his Mom and Dad.

EndofSummer2012WDW474.jpg

Yeah, that was Mom and Dad, but not Gavin. I can't remember if he was asleep in his stroller or what.

Jackie tells me that this is a common look for teenage Chelsea.

EndofSummer2012WDW476.jpg

It could mean, "Lady, stop taking so many flippin' pictures." :scratchin

It was then decided that Marc and Anita would give a tour of their humble Beach Club abode, so we all headed to the room. Next time, we'll make that visit with the group. This time, you can just sit under the umbrella and enjoy people watching until then. :beach:

Hi Memom:wave:Still here reading along::yes::Been busy with work and life in general.Your lovely Trip report helps ease the burden of this yucky cold weather over here in the UK.Sounds like the weather isnt very kind to you guys either though.
I am sorry for all the heartache that you have posted about recently. My thoughts are with those affected.
Bet you cant wait for your trip to the world next month. So glad Jill is getting to have a trip also( hopefully it will hold more happy times than stressful times for her!!)
We have booked to go again this year ,to celebrate my 40th.:banana:Soo excited. 2 glorious weeks at Pop. We go August 16th-30th.Never been August before. Our last 3 trips have all been May/June time.Us Brits arent used to heat like they get in August!!!

Loved watching the fireworks with you and Brooklyn today! I am at work...

Last Friday when we watched the news we felt so bad for the children of Davidson Co, because they still had to go to school. On the Channel 2 school closings map they were the "hole" in the middle of all the shaded counties. Well alas...today Wilson Co. was the "hole", so we are at work and school while the rest of you enjoy your long weekend. :goodvibes

The more and more I see of your photos of the Boardwalk and being able to see the fireworks, the more excited I become about staying there in December.

You got some great shots of the fireworks. And what fun...having another DIS meet with a nice group.

Everything about your evening seems like it was so much fun! The Boardwalk is such a beautiful resort, and I really want to stay there, but DANG do those chairs creep me out! :scared: Hahha.

Watching fireworks while eating yummy Disney food sitting at Stormalong Bay? I mean really, I don't think it gets much better than that!! :goodvibes

I love the Boardwalk area!! My favorite night on our last trip was eating at ESPN and then watching the performers and the fireworks. :goodvibes. I think we will stay in the MK area on our next trip, but will definitely have a Boardwalk evening.

Very nice! I love to hear my ring tones when my kids call - Jill is Small World, Trent is You've Got a Friend in Me, and Drew is I Wanna Be Like You. I like to hear it when it's not my kids, too - it's SpectroMagic. :wizard:

My Chris is sharkbait ooh haha amd jennifer is Just keep swimming.

The tumble monkeys music is my regular ringtone.

I found an app to record sound and I am trying to make a boat whistle ringtone.
My text notification is Star Tours. :rotfl2:

Paul and Todd !!!! :rotfl2: Those crazy chairs.

Sounds like you had a great night too. I am bummed I never crossed paths with Jackie. I bet we were probably really close at some point but due to the crowds we never saw each other.

You have no idea how much I would love one of those chairs for my classroom. Then when one of my kids asks me a question that I have just given the instructions for (and they weren't listening) they could just go sit there and think a spell.....

What a fun DIS meet!! :thumbsup2

It was nice to have so many DIS friends in one place. We had another fun meet with lots of DISers in October at Pop Century. It was on the last day of the next report we're going to be starting soon, so you will probably see it around July or August.

It has been cold here, but the sun actually did come out and play yesterday. It was a beautiful sight to behold! Now, we will see what Mr. Groundhog says for our next six weeks. :listen:

You will be there after we are in school, so you can give us updates and help us through the beginning of us getting back in the swing of things. Two weeks is wonderful, too!!! :cool1:

Things took a different path this time. It's usually Joelton that gets us out, but Lelan said it was Hillsboro that was reporting icy bridges. Sumner County went to school, and we didn't, which is very unusual.

You know, we have met nothing but the nicest of people in all of our DIS meets. This is a pretty good place to hang out. :)

The chairs are unique, for sure, and I would be willing to add the word 'odd' to the description, in my opinion, anyway. I am sure they are works of lovely art to some.

It was a very enjoyable evening, I will agree.

Sounds like you had a great night too. I am bummed I never crossed paths with Jackie. I bet we were probably really close at some point but due to the crowds we never saw each other.

I think in March, I will pull them out and take pictures of their backs. Are they named and dated, or just named? I am curious. Kay will probably walk away from me when I am doing this. :tiptoe: I won't blame her. :upsidedow

You have no idea how much I would love one of those chairs for my classroom. Then when one of my kids asks me a question that I have just given the instructions for (and they weren't listening) they could just go sit there and think a spell.....

Your kids do that? My kids go to the exact right page or activity every time after me giving the instructions only one time.

Yeah, that's my story.... :rolleyes2

Now, that would be an ideal spot for the chairs! :lmao::lmao:

I would need two chairs for two little boys in my class, but the girl I team teach with (she does SS/Sci and I do Language) would need about seven of them! She has a group like I have had many times in the past. Maybe Paul could help them out. :scared: ;)

I'm telling you, when I get off the plane in Orlando and see and feel the sunshine even inside the airport, I come to life. :)

For me it's when I see palm trees. :goodvibes There are two different routes that I can take to get to Disney. I take the one that is about half an hour longer because I head south sooner. :rotfl: I love palm trees  I even tried to convince DH to plant one here. :rolleyes1

Looks like a beautiful night sitting there at the BC & watching the fireworks! :goodvibes

Great meet with some wonderful Dis friends!:thumbsup2
