We Got No Troubles; Life Is The Bubbles! 04/18 - Complete!

Finally caught up! Love the pictures you take (with or without your SLR :P) and the photopass ones with your cousin in DHS are priceless. Glad you enjoyed the Creme Cheese Pretzel and the Tonga Toast.

Blueberry boy - :rotfl2: I didn't know he had a name!

Sorry I missed your update last weekend. I am still catching up on updates I missed. Hate that. Glad your bumped up!

So, you are the first DISer I can recall who reviewed the Seeds tour. It really does look like a lot of fun and I am sure a great guide makes it all that much better.

Your pictures in Spaceship Earth are wonderful. Heck - all your pictures are wonderful! What a simply gorgeous day.

I can't blame you one bit for not wanting to wait around for MK. But, hey, there's always Figment! :rotfl2:

Hope you back is better.

Any new pictures of Oscar?

Great update!

Thanks... I think I'll write that down! :rotfl: I have just never thought of trying for some odd reason.
That's what I'm here for! :rotfl:

The Behind the Seeds tour actually sounds pretty interesting....:scratchin And I'm glad you were able to uncover the nine pound lemon! I had no clue that the nine pounds was part of its name. Learn something new every day...

I agree with you, the Seas pavilion is the best. I think most people who go into the aquarium area don't realize how easy it is to spend half an hour to an hour just staring at all the different sea life. :rotfl:
Yep, I thought the nine pound lemon was just an ordinary lemon that grew to be 9 pounds! :confused3 We loved the tour. Very interesting!
Ahhh the Seas. I can easily waste a whole day in there!

I think that your land tour sounds like it was fun and informative...;) and you can't beat the price for a Disney tour... I'll bet those people on the boats riding through thought that you were all kinds of cool...:goodvibes

I love SE... all of that history... I'm totally corny cause it gives me the chills... (ok mini skirt science girl gives me a giggle... but the rest ... AWESOME... and i love the whole sound track...::yes::

The Living Seas could give easily take up hours and hours on its own if you really spent time looking at everything... that's why Disney is so special -there are so many details and things to really look at- I don't even know how long it would take you if you did/experienced each and every thing...:scratchin
I know having been the person in the boat, I thought those folks on the tour were all kinds of cool. :cool2:
I adore SE! I also get chills, seeing pictures or videos or hearing the soundtrack... ahhh bliss.
If I ever won a big lottery, I would spend one day inside each pavilion, just to experiment how long it would take... :lovestruc

We got some good memory pictures together, that's for sure! And I am so happy to have more Disney foods to crave when I'm not there! :rotfl:

Great update!
The Seeds tour was really interesting! And I am certainly no gardener! I was glad we did it.
And thank you! SE has always been so hard to get pictures in, SO dark, so it was fun to stretch my new camera a bit. I had my ISO way up!
My back IS better, thanks for asking!
And I have nothing new of Oscar I'm afraid. I took some new shots outside, but it's just too cold for his widdle paws so he's been staying in!

Fantastic update!!!

So sorry to hear you hurt your back protecting that adorable little furball- hope you are feeling better.

Hooray on the Soarin' score of prime seats AND useful FPs.

I love Living with the Land, too!!! Thanks for posting the picture of the sign. For some reason, I did not know it was sponsored by Chiquita. The Land is still brought to us by Kraft, right?

Totally agree about the shortcake! One of Disney's best desserts, up there with creme brulee (anywhere) and 'Ohana's bread pudding.

I appreciate your detailed review of Behind the Seeds. I would love to do that tour someday. An inexpensive tour where you can take pictures??? I'm in!

Awesome pictures of the Seas exhibit. I love the ocean and all her creatures, too!!! Kudos on using the term Jellies. My dad was a marine docent and he taught us not to say Starfish or Jellyfish.

Off topic- have you ever been to Atlantis? Fantastic aquariums- largest man-made ocean air marine habitat in the world. I can't imagine how gorgeous your photos would be there!!!

Spaceship Earth is in my top five attractions in all of Disney. Great pictures. Thanks for posting the video, but it just isn't quite the same without the burning smell.

The jumping water and upside down waterfall are such fun parts of the Imagination Pavilion.

It was a good Soarin' day for sure!

Now you've got me thinking, I never really noticed either sponsorship too closely before!

I could definitely go for that shortcake right about now. Or creme brulee. :lovestruc Never been to 'Ohana!

It was fun, we really did enjoy it. I would recommend it to anyone who asked, that's for sure!

Really? I said jellies because that's what Nemo called them, lmao! So what are we supposed to call Starfish? In the aquarium community we generally call them by their species name (i.e. "Brittle star"). Now I'm intrigued! :)

Off topic- have you ever been to Atlantis? Fantastic aquariums- largest man-made ocean air marine habitat in the world. I can't imagine how gorgeous your photos would be there!!!
I haven't, but it sounds amazing! I would love to see it some day!

You know, I adore SE, so very much and it sort of crept up on me as one of my favourites. I don't give it the credit it's due until I'm on it realizing how much I'm enjoying it.

The jumping water and upside down waterfall are such fun parts of the Imagination Pavilion.
I have fond memories of those fountains from my first trip. Seeing them again and spending time to watch them made me reminisce!

Jellies and Sea Stars. Neither are fish.

Between my dad and a very good friend who worked at the New England Aquarium, I been indoctrinated into the proper terminology!

Sea Stars. Yes that makes sense. I will try my best to never make that mistake! :thumbsup2

Hello everyone! I've had a busy couple of weeks and my upcoming weekend looks really busy too. But today is my day off so I'm taking some time to get some important things done, like a trip report update.

Last post left off just about to head to the World Showcase in the direction of our dinner. Just where were we heading?

Wednesday, September 19
"Sausage Fest"

First, if your head is in the gutter, get it out! :rotfl:

We headed over to WS. We were a little early for dinner and although the wait time was 25 minutes, we decided to hop on this little beauty:
8347371769_15987869f2_c.jpg

It felt like it took a lot longer than 25 minutes, but eventually we were boarding our boats. One of the CMs pointed out to a man in front of me that there was a man wearing Mickey ears on this painting:
8348423906_a1639b66b1_c.jpg

Cool! Never saw that before!

We battled the troll,
8347358031_9cef5cc710_c.jpg

And when we were finished it was almost time for our dinner. We headed on over to one of my favourite buffets to check in, only a little early for our 5:50 ADR. 5:50. Remember that time, folks.

We were given our beepers and we went to sit in the square. While we sat there we heard our names being called and looked around completely confused. There coming out of a shop was eeyore04 and family! In a place as big as WDW it's surprising when you run into people by accident. I didn't even know they would be in Epcot this day!

We chatted while we waited and then they moved on and we waited some more. We waited an awfully long time (or so it felt, I think it was about 30 minutes or more) and then finally with our little beeper flashing away, we were escorted to our seats. It was now somewhere around 6:30.

They were not bad seats, depending on what you like. We were far from the stage and a pole was in the middle of our view, but we were the closest table to the buffet. We put that in the win column.

8348369580_a35bdcf8c5_c.jpg

Love the atmosphere in here!

8348340392_7a2fdc95a5_c.jpg

The band was excellent and entertaining as always.

8348333554_404922740e_c.jpg

I ate a little of almost everything, but no sausage type foods of which there was an over abundance. (Get the title now? Dirty Dis'ers.) I did not take a picture of my food plate because I was, as is weird for me, feeling a little self conscious about the others at our table. Our table consisted of us two, one other couple, and a family of four and no one else wanted to chat despite our attempts at friendly chatter. We spent the meal in fairly awkward silence. Oh well.

I did take a picture of my dessert plate because at that point I stopped caring what the silent table-mates thought.
8348329584_8500215a84_c.jpg

Not a big variety, but it's ok. All I really needed was that cheese cake.

You know how when you're at a buffet, you mostly serve yourself? Well that ended up being a good thing because if we had waited on our waiter, I think we never would have been fed. We didn't get our first drinks until we were halfway through our meal (and sweating from the Florida heat, we were already very thirsty!) and ready to drink the gravy. Then we never saw the waiter again until we were completely finished and long ready to go and so we never got a second drink. We waited forever for him to come back and finally he did, but he didn't have anyone's bill ready. Our whole table was finished and waiting to go. He left to get our bills and we waited yet another full half hour just for him to come back with them!

Despite this, we did have a great meal. We enjoyed ourselves and ate lots of good food so it made up for it a bit.

** Dining Review Alert **

The food was excellent, fairly authentic too. Lots and lots to choose from, even for picky eaters. The desserts are amazing.
Food - 5/5
Our waiter was very friendly and very funny but very slow. We never got a refill on our drinks and waited far too long for our bills. The rest of our table got very antsy (understandably, they were probably all wanting to see IllumiNations) and one man finally asked another waiter for our bills so we could go. Unfortunately, despite his very friendly manner, it was poor service. Also tied in with this, we waited a long time for our table after checking in.
Service - 1/5
Atmosphere is amazing, so like a real Biergarten. The band is pretty authentic Bavarian too. All very nice and a fun place. Sometimes awkward when sharing a table with shy diners, but that's the authentic German way too.
Atmosphere - 4.5/5 (a .5 deduction for awkward silences that are a very real possibility)

All in all - 4/5 for this place. I will definitely go back, I love it here.

We were so late coming out of there (around 7:45!) that we knew we would never get a good spot for IllumiNations. We were also very tired so we decided to do it on our next Epcot night. Instead, we went back to Captain Eo to try again.

On our way...

8347249217_dae4d7ddc6_c.jpg

We had no wait and there weren't many people in the holding room. We didn't wait long.
8348279244_2f4c39ab83_c.jpg

It was pretty cheesy of course, but kind of fun. I wouldn't go out of my way to do it again.

Cont. in next post...

When we came out it was dark and Future World was emptying of guests heading over to the lagoon to watch the fireworks. We took some night pictures of the fountains.

After taking a few pictures we were about ready to go home but we kept debating doing Imagination. We hated it last time but I did promise MEK I would give it another chance. So we went.

I do like Figment, he's adorable. And I like the song too. One little spark...

Most of the ride is ok. Just ok. But the skunk! I don't know, I think I must have a really sensitive sense of smell because that part bothers me more than anyone else. I was gagging! So yeah the ride is ok but if you asked me to explain to someone who had never done it why I didn't like it, I would say it would be like being around a person who is mildly funny, often annoying, who has a cute dog, but smells awful. You wouldn't hang around with that guy would you? I'm sorry to all the Figment lovers out there, but I rate this one really low on my list. Oh well, shorter lines for you guys!

So after that (and taking giant gulps of fresh air) we headed out of the park slowly, taking more pictures and just savoring the general emptiness of Future World.

We didn't wait long at all for a bus.

8347035699_fc5ca23981_c.jpg

We walked slowly back to our room, completely exhausted. But we did have a nice surprise waiting for us:

We were out like a light and in need of some serious sleep before attacking another entirely different Universe tomorrow.

WOW!!!

That is awesome!

I forgot to comment on your meal! I have never been to the Biergarten. Sorry that you had slow service, no sausage and non-responsive table mates. Glad you had a nice meal anyway!

I've never actually eaten at Biergarten, but I did have a fun evening hanging out with friends there once. The atmosphere is so much fun, and your desserts looked yummy! Too bad about the waiting and bad service though. :confused3

Lovely photos, as usual...I look forward to the eye candy you always provide!

We ate here on our honeymoon and met the nicest couple, they were there for their anniversary. She said that they couldn't go on a honeymoon and he promised her a vacation every year, and it was like 40 years and he had kept his promise. They were from near us, and we talked a lot through our meal. Of course, we had a family of 4 but they didn't want to be with other people so after a few glares of the rest of us talking they actually got up and walked out. Whatever, their loss! Sitting with other people can be a risk, on our honeymoon we had nothing but good luck. On our trip this past October it was a DISASTER.

My son was terrified on "the bad Figment ride", as in full tears before we stopped. He was begging me to never make him go back on there. Of course, then he became obsessed with Figment himself and ended up with a stuffed one for Xmas.

I LOVE the towels!!!

YUp when you said "sausage fest" my mind totally went there and eventhough I think figment is the bees knees,I love your description of him I lol'd for real!!! Wendy you are too cute!!!

Sorry to your dinner didn't go so well. Sounds like they were too busy and the wait staff had too many tables to try and serve. Still, no drink refills the entire meal? Yikes.
I also had no idea you shared a table with other guests. Had to be a little weird to try and talk with your DH about dinner and your trip, knowing other people could listen in. :confused3

Those fountains look really awesome at night!

We did, we enjoyed our meal despite the negatives. It's just a fun place to eat! I recommend it!

Really enjoying your TR!!!! Your photos are amazing!
Thanks!!

Awww how nice about the couple on their anniversary vacation! That's so sweet.
Ohh your poor son! I can see how Figment could be the bad Figment ride though!

Dirty girl!!
Hahaha I just can't like that ride. I like Figment the character though. It's my compromise!

They were a little busy, but our waiter was also incredibly slow, way worse than any other we saw. Oh well, there are worse things I guess! We did have a nice time.

Sorry i missed this update when it came out. I think your fountain pictures are outstanding. I am so jealous! I want to take night pictures like that.

My brother requested Biergarten for June so the ADR is made. Atleast with eight of us we won't have any non-talkative table mates. Who needs that.

The desserts - OMG - they look amazing!

Thanks :goodvibes You could take pictures like that. A tripod is key! :thumbsup2
I would like to have one table all to my party, that would be fun! Twice we went and had wonderful, friendly, talkative table-mates so sometimes it works out ok.
Get the bavarian cheesecake, even if you're stuffed to the top you must have the bavarian cheesecake!! :lovestruc :rotfl2:

I had to laugh about Figment, when DD18 was younger she announced that she liked the smell of skunks because it reminded her of the smell of coffee. :confused3
DM and I ate at Beirgarten on our first trip together. We met a nice couple from England. It was great talking to them.
