Thank you... I was so hoping that Pop Warner would be a week later because of Thanksgiving. Now I can relax knowing they will not be there the entire time I am there.

Any word where the PW kids are staying? I know it's usually a few of the value resorts, but I'm not sure which ones. Plus a moderate, right?

PW can't be worse than the group that was at ASMo the last time we went (Brazilian dance or cheer group, not sure which they were). I saw another thread about teens running rampant at Pop right now, it's gotta be them! (this is the week we went, last year)

For me personally, I don't think they are bad, I just know discounts are less likely while they are there.

From what I have heard, they don't cause much of an issue in the park, it's the resorts they stay at that have an issue. I've never experienced the issues personally, but from what I have read on here, not all of the parents are "engaged", so the kids become a little out of control.

We just booked our trip for that same week. I know the resort will be spectacular that time of year.

We are tentatively going with Dec 25-Jan 4. We are in the process of selling our place for a bigger house, so there is a lot of wiggle room for dates. But for the first time in 5 years, we didn't go to DW this past year. HARD! We discussed how cool it'd be to surprise the kids with a trip on Christmas Eve, and take off Christmas day, and staying through the new year. Of course, cost of flights and deals with DW have a lot to do with this, but if everything pans out, with starting to look at flights this soon in advance, fingers crossed everything works out!

Last year, I stalked the airfare and found that flying on Christmas Day was really reasonable. And with you coming back on 1/4, you should be in good shape. Do you realize, though, that this is the busiest week of the year at WDW and the hotel prices will be the highest of the year as well?

Yeah, currently I'm in the campground though. I'm rethinking that idea. I'm just not sure where I want to change to. Well, no. I definitely know where I WANT to stay, Just without a room discount I'm not sure if I can afford it/it's worth it. So I keep looking through numbers and options and I think I've probably driven my AAA agent insane.

But it's lay me going and it's my only trip this year (not counting the trip to DC a few weeks ago) - and I want to make the most of it.
